Nice review of the NexTool Silver Blade EDC Tool. It has some interesting potential. The manufacturer should ensure the blade has a safety lock (so it won't collapse on the fingers under light-to-medium pressure). I agree that the leather slip-case would look really smart and consistent with the tool if it were offered in black. Showcasing the NexTool card tool with the Victorinox Swiss Card as an EDC pairing was brilliant. (And seeing them both fit in a survival tin was really helpful.) Thanks for sharing. 🇺🇸🙂👍

Surprising how small the Skeletool pliers head looks when lined up next to the PS4 and Cobra XS, both of which I have. If the Skeletool was legal carry here in the UK I'd probably have already bought one.

@simonh6371 I have seen some people make a replacement "blade" to hold a scalpel for the Skeletool. I think it's purpose was circumvent the UK laws. But naturally, it is no longer a thick solid blade. Thanks for watching!

@@urbanknifeguy My UK legal ''Skeletool killer'' is Spyderco Urban - good blade, good ergos, one handed opening - and a Knipex Cobra XS. With those I can carry a small bit driver/ratchet if I want to match the Skeletool, but recently I've been carrying them with a Vic Jetsetter (scissors and Phillips driver, and that little 58mm Phillips driver can handle PH2 screws) and a generic key-shaped prybar with a 6mm flathead on the end. Doesn't give me wire cutters like the Skeletool has, but for me personally in daily life scissors are more important.

I don't know what your job entails but I as far as EDC is concerned I never find myself needing pliers. I have gotten along very well with just a sak in my pocket for 40 years. Very interesting tool and great video.

That's the thing with EDC. You always see channels that are like "you NEED to have this in your EDC", but your kit strongly depends on your day to day business. I have, for example, always a NexTorch MT10 and a Roxon H1 Rhino on me and I use at least one of them at least once a day. Others may not need those and it's okay :)

I don't need it for my job. But as I see this tool more for a kit/ pouch loadout. I think it is a good size when one wants a slim set of tools.

@@urbanknifeguy that's why I always carry a Sinclair type Credit Card knife. You always have a knife even if you "don't have a knife". It's likely the same with this MT. Peace of mind :)

@Nightkrowler Thanks. I've got that, but I personally don't like it. Just doesn't have that confidence in grip. But it is lightweight and better than nothing!

I've used a similar but smaller design. It is great except for poor materials and very weak rivers. These weaknesses made it so understandable that I no longer use it. I believe the brand was SwissTool.

I'm guessing you mean Swiss Tech rather than Swiss Tool. The Swiss Tool is a line of multitools made by Victorinox. Swiss Tech make some very small multitools which look okay but I hear they are not the best quality. What I don't like about them is the implication that the tools are anything to do with Switzerland, which they are not. They are not made in Switzerland, neither are they even designed in Switzerland, I believe they are US designs, made in China. Nextool are not in any way misleading about the country of origin. Their products are generally good and furthermore they are pro-active and listen to feedback from customers, and I believe they resolve issues which were present in their products. I wouldn't be surprised to see Nextool appear in this comment thread because they do look at and comment on youtube vids about their products. I have a Nextool Flagship Mini and I'm very happy with it, overall it's better than my Leatherman Squirt PS4.
