I'm ngl, that lesbians joke came so far out of left field it knocked me flat 😂 I love the understated vibes and good humour man, and the kit bash is excellent. Top work my dude!
Myfriend, you need sanding sticks, sponges, and paper... it will change your life haha Also plastic cement will re-strengthened stressed plastic. A dull knife just does not compare to 1000/1500 or 3000 grit sponges from Tamiya! In the end this is a fantastic kitbash.
@@ConversionBeam I can get that! You need to for sure use VERY high grit. Tamiya 1000 is a sweet spot, it doesn't wear out that fast and it will leave the surface smooth... but you can then polish that to an ultra smooth with 1500, which does wear out kinda fast so don't chew with it haha. 3000 grit is insane it can make plastic literally mirror finished... I'm not kidding, if you do it right you can see yourself in it. 600 and 900 grits from tamiya re amazing but a bit expensive for that application, I just use 3M 900 grit paper first, theni I will work my way up. You can buy packs of Tamiya sanding sponges, they are AMAZING. The only risk is they can round edges of thigns when youw ant them sharp, so you need to be cognizant of the direction/flow for the sponges. Sticks will alleviate that and keep edges sharp. But IO still use a dull blade from time to time, but I have gotten to a point i can use sandpaper without rounding edges now.
Great job! I love the use of the flamer backpack and then painting them up as transparent fluid containers. The little servo arms coming out of the station work so well! Amazing job!
A monstrous effort that paid off dividends! I think this is possibly my favorite conversion ever! Absolutely fantastic and really nails how I think such a vehicle would feel. Gritty, bulky, with that distinctly Imperial flavour to all of its machinery - yet still clearly there to help. It's... intimidating.
I discovered your channel with your video on the Terminator conversion, and I am so pleased to have. I have watched most of your videos and the quality is so great as the content. Love to see some good old conversion and kitbash, it gives plenty of idea, and I love that you detail every bits you use. Please keep up with such a good content !
I'm a sucker for conversions like these which bring a sort of realism to the setting. Of course you're going to need medical vehicles when there's only war! 8:19 my almost 10 year old Mortis Dreadnought conversion with autocannons from Aegis Defense Line has two of those little square bits, so maybe the source is some Imperial Guard stuff?
@@ConversionBeam Ive seen some cool conversions for chaplan vehicles and chaos but honestly i think the is the first apothecary one might be interesting to see a Librarian theme sometime. but really keep the unique ones happening
I love the idea of the apothecary rhino, also for the stabilizers you could say they are there for when the apothecary is doing surgery and needs the rhino to be as stable as possible
The AK putty is best applied using a small metal spatula or something like that, and then sanding it with a sanding stick. It is more suited to filling thinner seam lines and stuff tho. Sanding sticks are way better at getting smooth surfaces over blades, mode effective and significantly easier. Great conversion and video tho!
Since were talking specialised conversions of vehicles... Here a free idea for you: "Techmarine Dreadnough Heavy Recovery Vehicle" - Dreadnough grade servo-arms man!
Excellent. I was really eager for this one because I have an old 3rd edition rhino that I was thinking aboutconverting for my apothecaries. I'm also working on a techmarine ATV since I don't like the way the Invader looks. I will probably steal some of your ideas for that servo arm.
For filling up holes on the like on the front I suggest you look up some technique videos for filling screw/nail holes with putty. Those guys have it down. The basic premise is filling it from one side first so you don't create an air pocket. Also this looks like the beginning of a great YT channel! I hope it really takes off.
I appreciate the lore that this provides because since space marines are so expensive of course they would have a dedicated armored medical unit for ease of medical assistance out of line of gunfire also the caduceus symbol so common in reality would of course have survived into the 41st millennium even if they didn’t understand the meaning
Chaplain's have a model on bike, apothecary now has a rhino, now I'm just imagining a whole command squad in vehicles. Librarian land speeder, forge Master spartan, ect.
Drilling barrels? Not something I will do because I play imperial guard, but when I get a small drill I will ensure every exhaust that is flat like that
I like your work. You have ALOT of kits!! Let’s see some death guard conversations!! This tank is badass tho! I’m doing a apoth bio from the leviathan box conversation for a death guard plunge surgeon. It’s been done before but it’s my first true conversion as all I’ve done up to this point is mix and match some parts and 3d printed stuff to make a kill team for my space wolves chapter called the coyotes.
I do have some death guard ones planned for the future, hope to see you there when I finally get around to it! And best of luck your your first conversion, Brother
6:30 Wednesday morning, getting ready for work, drinking my coffee, trying to wake up watching this video I hear better than two lesbians and a cucumber...coffee leaves my nose at high velocity...😂 cool conversion by the way. Would like to see this conversion done with an open top impulsor like an actual triage ambulance maybe a wounded marine in the back being worked on?
I’m just glad that someone enjoyed my dumb joke 😂 I was actually considering that at first, I might try it with an Impulsor at some point. Thanks for watching brother!
Honestly agree, wish you'd put a servitor in the medicae station, if for no other reason than to make it look like darktide, other wise, VERY solid conversion, 9/10 am looking to convert my own grimdark ambulance (also is an apothecary Spess Mehreen vehicle a thing in the lore or a kit from an older edition that got fazed out? I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable about 40k and I can't remember hearing about something like that but, it's cool as hell and feels very unique)
This is great conversion work. Happy to sub….but do yourself a favour and get yourself some red grass games nippers. It’s like you’re using blunt force pliers…watching all that grey plastic frost up from force! You’ll never look back my friend!
Hey, I absolutely loved the video! I love your content and I think it’s amazing. I have one creative criticism though, if I can make it. I feel like the lesbians joke was made in poor taste
