I am an retired dairy farmer and i had a fling through the 80s and 90s and every cow went to Limy bull and that Limy X Friesian Holstein went to Auction of 120 cows and the calf price made up to £1800 a year . 2001 FOOT & MOUTH made me diversify in to other things , still got my Land.
Good to see the new shed coming along , mebbe tell Ben to cut a couple of wooden lats to the right length of the gap between the horizontals for setting up, would save time measuring. Keep em coming.❤
New building is coming on well it’s a big job getting all those tyres filled up I’ll bet there’s good when there. Settled in Buildings like that are the way for ease of management your a great girl Evie I really love your videos there full of content and very interesting to watch
Thank you for taking us long. That was fun to see your dog trying to help you cover in those tires. Please stay healthy and safe, Is looking forward to the next one.
@@Forever_in_wellies_ little boy is very cute in deed You need to have a beautiful child like him I could help you conceive I know that we could make good parents.
I get what your saying about the heifers you buy but when you have calfs from your own cows you know exactly what their background is and how they are raised And its nice breed a good cow family that has a lot of history on youre own farm
I did the same as you when i put cubicles in a few years ago, filled the bed with tyres and packed it with sand ( i saw you used ground limestone (?) ) What im finding now is as the cows have been walking in and out of the cubicles the tyres are rising up and I've had to re set quite a few. If i was doing it again I'd think about trying to secure them to each other. Possibly screw them down?
Hi Evie, all the new work in the new barn is staring to take shape. I have seen people building earth houses with tyres and they use a rammer (axe handle) to get the clay tight inside the tyres. I don't know if it would help. You cows are always quiet and easy to handle, you guys are doing a good job with them. Do you have to get special permission to build the slurry dam and is there any special environment regulations? I found another you tubers channel about dairy farming, it called: Sisters in wellies, have you seen it. All the younger women taking on farming as a career, is like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for the video. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
dont you get itchy feet with all the machines you have on the farm. maybe. maybe not. you are so talented, and always get the job done. good for you evie. television next. bring it on. what do you reckon. lol. dont laugh.
Great video ,Wouldn't be to happy with the concrete ramp straight on the mud should have been stoned up and compacted ,That clay will shrink and concrete crack its to expensive not to do a sturdy job with
Hi Evie keep it up you are the best you are doing great job and having fun making some brilliant videos superstar Ali Walsall west midlands england junction 10 m6 Walsall keep it up you
Baxenden car breakers have loads of tyres that they prob give away seem as they have to pay for them to be taken away from what I've seen on there RU-vid channel. Give them a call 👌
Evie its funny you go from milking cores outfit to your nice blue tight gilet to no gilet to pink gilet at end you change your outfits so much! Hope come you never button up your gilets
is there no plastic liner in the slurry pit. uk lining from north wales will line ponds slurry pits tip cells. they just done one a pit in accrington 140ft deep. brilliant company.
@Forever_in_wellies_ I'm in NG17 Sutton in ashfield. Don't know how many your after, but I work at a well known tyre company, as long as you are willing to collect
Hello and why do you not rase your own cows for milking ... And what is the perpose for the tiers i looks like the cows would pull them up when they get up and do you own the farm ... Good video thanks
I don't think thats the case bc they are for a specific job so i would argue they are a waste product from one industry used in another for said job. So once picked up they are just another product. Either way im sure they have all the correct paperwork.
