I'm a relatively new member of The Warning Army, getting hooked after seeing their VMA performance of Evolve when it premiered. I remembered seeing them as kids with Enter Sandman, but lost track of them over the years. So, after watching Evolve at the VMAs on loop all day, I proceeded to watch the Teatro Metropolitan show (twice) and the Allison Hagendorf interview all in the same day. For me, NOT knowing the songs upfront led me to really pay attention to the live performance as it was the first time I was hearing them. I was absolutely blown away by the concert, both in performance and production quality.
That's exactly my story as well. Saw them on RU-vid when they went viral, forgot about them, then saw a reaction video to Evolve on MTV right after it came out and I was HOOKED.
Steven - anything that you react to with The Warning will have a ton of support. The live versions are the way to go - especially from this concert - because it is pro-shot and the audio is impeccable. The ladies' energy and charisma just jumps off the screen (not to mention crazy talent). One small request based on what you said - if you want to see a master class on drumming and singing, I can’t more highly recommend the song “23” from this same concert. Pau is so good at conveying emotion (even while drumming) it’s impossible not to feel the pain, vulnerability, isolation and desperation in her voice. Quite a power (Pau-er?) ballad. Looking forward to your next reaction!
These are the sort of reactions I live for. Thank you!!! Yeah this is why so many people recommend youtubers to react to their live versions because it packs more of a punch.
Ale taking the lead for those two lines is a highlight of this whole concert for many TWA fans. 🔥 We all love Ale and wish she would do more of this, so when she does get the vocal spotlight, it's awesome. I believe Dany does that vocal on the studio version, but I like that choice to let Ale do it live. Love your enthusiasm and agree that Dany duplicates her vocals live and they're amazing.
The only thing missing from these videos is the intensity and enormity of their live sound. You are very close to a complete understanding of the band. The only thing left is to experience it in person. 🤘🏻😀
Want to hear the crowd singing in a concert? during their Teatro Metropolitan intermission, their song Breathe was played on the loudspeakers while they were changing attire, the crowd sang the whole song while holding their phone lights high. By the way, that song was written, recorded, and sung by Pau as a last-minute addition to the album Error and has become a fan favorite. It was so personal that she swore never to perform it live. That didn't last long and she sang it at a concert in Mexico with a string ensemble (!). When the crowd sang every word with her she became so emotional her tears soon followed and she cut the song short. Goosebumps are obligatory when watching the video.
@@rexwave4624 How could I forget? A tiny barely teen (Pau is sending me dagger eyes) writing a verified tear-jerker, according to many reactors (and me). My bad for forgetting.
Oh yes, you Definitely want to watch this whole concert (from intro thru ending credits). Every minute is gold. & doing it live with TWA is a blast cuz there’s instant feedback (& a few questions, like “why is the chat full of melon emojis?!”).
Great reaction. Everything from this concert is fire. You need to watch the whole thing. It’s just phenomenal. You will get to appreciate all of their voices and abilities.
Their super power is live performance. I you want to hear Dany's vocal control, check out Dust to Dust from this same concert. Dany's last note is incredible. I suggest you listen to each song from this concert separately. That way you can have 22 new favorite songs. Then you can do the entire concert. Also, Evolve from the 2023 MTV VMAs.
7350ft above sea level and singing like this 🤯 The energy is just unbelievable, it’s a great song and at this venue with the professional cinematic photography it’s almost like being there! Fun fact Dany has her mic in a different position compared to what most have it, it’s so the crowd can see her face better and she can see them!
It took me a few watches to notice this, but the drummer adds that extra bit of loudness & pitch to our favorite part of the vocals of Choke... i think they show it clearly during the 2nd chorus, but she & the lead both let that word just tear out of their mouths in absolute perfection of pitch, harmony & awesomazingness. I love this band
Hey boss, check out their Lunario concert where they were a bit younger. Was the first time they performed their Queen of the Murder Scene album in full, with an additional track in each chapter from their first album. They act out the story with their performance and they absolutely Rock! See how great they are, even back then. Song by song, or chapter, even whole concert and the Army will show. As always, ⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡ Rock On TW Army! ⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡
I know you already reacted to Disciple official video, but you have to react to Disciple at this concert. It will give so much joy, they are just a powerhouse live.
There are some bands I prefer studio, i.e. Awolnation. Then there are bands I prefer Live, but only if it's mixed correctly. Muse is a good example of a great Live band. This concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX was of the highest caliber. Every song in the set list for this concert is worth a reaction.
At the moment I am on transfer from TWA to TWAF. 4 days ago I saw my 1st The Warning live concert, and apart from crying like a baby when they walked out on stage, they brought me back to reality when they started playing.. .. They REALLY are better live and in person (all enabled by their magician of a sound engineer).I wonder what my 1st landing will be like???
Pau started playing drums at age 6, and her instructor recommended that she sing while playing to help improve her timing. She improved her breath control by singing while exercising on a treadmill.
To answer your question if you do the live/concert you're gonna have your brain explode with all the instrumental and vocals especially with Pau (the drummer) and with Danny (lead vocals/guitar) too. Of you do the videos/record first when you eventually get to the concert you're gonna get excited every time you start to recognize the first notes of the songs, is an amazingly cured set list. Soo both options are right in different ways
6:54 "I appreciate drummers that can sing..." Oh, boy... you're going to love TW so much more once you discover Pau's supper power. Dust to Dust shall be your next one. Can't wait for your reaction on that one ✨
Full disclosure: I'm not on Patreon for anybody yet. When I join it will be for The Warning and maybe that's it. But I'd love to see your reaction to the whole concert. Would you plan on breaking it up and releasing the individual reactions to each song later on your channel? Because I can tell you TWA will want to see ALL of them. Yes, you should do more of this concert, it's fantastic and I pine for the day when I can purchase a DVD of the whole enchilada. Great reaction, I love your energy, keep it up. I LOVE THIS BAND !! ✌️💖🎼
You made the point of the athleticism of drumming - Pau practices singing while running, to get her breath control nice and solid for singing while drumming.
For The Warning, I would recommend reacting to them live and for now the best pro shot live concert is the Teatro Metropolitan one, plus they just released a live video for their new song Hell You Call A Dream from their biggest show to date, from the Pepsi Center in Mexico City, on their RU-vid channel.
Anything from this concert is pure Fire. ⚡ Even the interlude music for a costume change is magical. They drop a live Official video of their new song HYCAD TODAY from the 10 yr anniversary show last fall. It's another Banger !
CHOKE: Un excelente tema de rock con la interpretación de Dany y su poderosa voz,un tremendo riff y una linea de bajo poderosa y tremendos rellenos de batería de Pau ,una muestra masdel talento de The Warning el mejor rock 2024
Ya the two tracks they did at the MTV VMAs and then this concert are their best live recordings so far (and the HYCAD live they just released). Definitely all worth checking out.
This entire concert kicks ass! Here's the thing, as incredible as watching their live videos are, actually seeing them live is an entirely different experience. They are incredible.
My journey started with the Error songs but i fell for them when i went back and watched the evolution from playing covers to school mates through the shows for the first albums Then Teatro was the chefs kiss on it all and i was all in
Pick ANY song from their live @ Teatro Metropolitan setlist ...they are BEST live. Favorites are Z (opening song), Animosity, Disciple, Dust to Dust (drummer vocals), Evolve, Queen of the Murder Scene, Choke, Enter Sandman (reimagined), etc....Have fun!
If this was mentioned, already, I apologize. What’s even more impressive about Pau behind the drum kit and singing, you’ll notice the laptop next to her. She controls all of the click tracks, the musical effects, any added backing tracks, special effects, Etc. I believe she also does some of the production as far as video, etc. in previous concerts. She even sends some of Dany’s effects to her pedal board. This way, Dany doesn’t have to preset anything. Yes, they do use some tracks. But, they play all of that. It’s all them. Love your enthusiasm for this band! Welcome to the madness!
The Warning live are a tsunami of sound. You'll have a lot of company if you watch the whole concert, although not everyone will be able to watch on Patreon. You'll get more of us if you break it up though. It's not overly long but is still it's a single block time commitment that gets hard to navigate sometimes. The viewers will start to drop off as it goes, not because it isn't one of the best live concert videos ever (it is), but because everyone has a lot going on. Anyway, either way it's a great idea, and you'll get a lot information about the band because The Warning Army loves to talk about them above all things. Enjoy the ride, they never disappoint.
Wish you would do the full Concert here on RU-vid. Many reactors have. Not everyone can be a part of your Patreon, so we'd all like to be able to share it with you if at all possible.
IM A NEWBIE TO THE WARNING ... AND CAN'T GET ENOUGH ! LUV EM !!! GREAT VID..LOVE YOUR ENTHUSIASM.....I GOT YOU A SUB...SEE YOU ON THE NEXT THE WARNING VID...
The drums do sound great, better than the bass or guitar for sure. Such a big drum sound. And let me point out that there are more moving parts to playing guitar than drums: two arms, two hands, 4 fingers! But yes the cardio is definitely an issue. But both Dany and Pau have great stamina.
Highly recommend doing the Lunario show. They perform the entire Queen of the Murder Scene album in order. Keep in mind if you do that there are two or three songs not from that album on there so check the track list and just skip over those few songs. You can always react to them later. Do a bit of research on the album and what it's about before reacting because it is a concept album. Also keep in mind children wrote it. Still blows my mind.
Keying in on your comment about being able to drum and sing at the same time...how about doing 23 or Dust to Dust from this same concert? And maybe do each of the songs from this concert individually on YT and the full concert end to end on Patreon?
I could, unfortunately, list quite a number of huge bands that were absolute rubbish when I saw them live. There is a much smaller list of bands I have seen that I think are actually better experienced live (The Warning and Rush among them). Their rapport with the audience when they are on stage is as good as any act I have ever seen. This three-piece is: Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar) Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums) Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay, 19yo, bass)
React to the whole concert live here on RU-vid. You'll get a much larger audience, more impressions and have your live chat on so TWA can react with you. Trust me, we LOVE the Teatro Met concert!
7300 feet above sea level. 22 songs. Drummer sings lead on several songs, while drumming. What could possibly go wrong? Almost nothing, apparently! Awesome concert. I've seen it at least a dozen times now. This is the way you record a live performance. Every mic and every instrument gets sent to the front-of-house board AND its own separate track on a computer. That gives you the same control in post production that you would have from a studio performance. It actually sounds better on video than it would have for many people in the audience, because it gets the royal treatment by the audio mixer, who can play it again and again until the mix is just right.
Many of the songs from this Teatro Metropolitan show also have a corresponding official lyric video. If you want to get to know the song before seeing the live version, I would suggest doing a twofer for each song. Start with the first song "Z" and work your way through this whole show, first viewing the lyric video and then straight to the live version. Combine both versions into one reaction, or split them up into separate content and upload on the same day. Just a thought. Peace! 🤘
TODO LO QUE DIJISTE AL FINAL ES COMO SON REALMENTE ELLAS, CANTAN Y TOCAN MUY BIEN, TE DIJE EN EL ANTERIOR VIDEO QUE HAZ VISTO POCO DE LO QUE ELLAS SON, SI QUIERES VER COMO TOCA Y CANTA LA BATERISTA AL MISMO TIEMPO, ENTONCES REACCIONA A LAS CANCIONES "DUST TO DUST" O "23", AUN NO HAZ VISTO NADA BRO.
Great reaction !! I love and prefer seeing bands in a live venue or live video. I don't think all bands are great live though ... But these young ladies, these young ROCKERS, are ABSOLUTELY S!CK live. I think they are actually BETTER live !! :)) They are soooo much better live. I am from Calgary, and I found out they played here a couple of months before I discovered them. I hope they come back ... but I might go to the end of the earth to finally see them !! :))
The guitar sound on this one reminds me of Stone Temple Pilots but still their own sound. That’s another one of their superpowers, the ability to remind you of so many different bands but remain unique. The Warning is literally the only band that could get my 50yr old, lazy ass to a concert nowadays! 😂
i may have already posted this on another reaction to this song... idk but imma post it here 😜 *Choke* to me *Choke* is about those times when you are overwhelmed by things in life and you want/need to work through it all by yourself without others trying to help... "just let me drown" in my troubles... "that vice is overpriced"... i'll get through it my way, don't try to help... i feel that it is a song about emotional and mental strength... other original songs of similar nature are TW's *Evolve* and *Survive* (which you may have already seen) 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
