You might want to put rails over the pipe to keep the cows from possibly falling off the crossing...also the stone you are using isn't there a possiblity that they can get stuck in the cows hooves...Just a thought

yep.....lots of comments about the cows falling in the creek....remember...when they cross we have poly wire up to prevent them from roaming off the path

This was a great project, and I learned a lot about sequencing, adding gravel as you went to be able to compact based on all your trips. I also realize I’m way behind on what vehicles you have these days. Was not tracking on this new dump truck. Last one I knew about was, the Home Depot delivery truck that you used at the sawmill. I personally would enjoy a video (S) on an update of your support vehicles, and your tentative vehicle projects for the future.

@StoneyRidgeFarmer well Josh, I think it's absolutely brilliant! Most of us are uncomfortable with change so I get why some are reticent to embrace the electric option in vehicles.(I still drive a gasser, for range and hauling. ) It's coming though.... and though it's very different..... it's most likely the responsible choice for the planet. In the end it will be our children, and our children's children who decide.

If you had an electric forklift to use around the megashop they wouldn't say a word. If you already have enough solar capacity to charge it that little electric tractor makes a lot of sense.

A bit of larger clear rock(rip/rap)(or what ever it is called) at the ends of the culvert, may help in erosion. If a big rain comes it may wash out the culvert.

Great job Josh ! Something to think about… Do you think it's a good idea, to stabilize both sides of the culvert with large rock. So you don't have a lot of erosion in the creek bed ? Because I have seen a lot other people do that. I think it is a good idea, but I'm not an expert.

Josh, when you are working the bucket trying to get all of the dirt out, that is putting a lot of stress on the bushings. I am sure you do but it is a must that you keep plenty of grease in those joints and keep a good eye on the bushing wear. I have seen so many non operators in the past too lazy to grease a machine and when it comes to replacing bushings, the they don't fit anymore causing a lot of work welding or filling in the wear so the new bushings will fit. cows do get themselves into trouble from time to time, but remember...they are pretty in tune with keeping good footing in most cases. The culvert was so big you could drive a car thru it, lol even put in three two foot diameter culverts for a run off !! Started with 100 pound , then 4x5 stones, then two inch, finally a one inch minus for the top part!! If I could down load a picture or video I would send you a video
