I'm so glad you seem to be writing a female character that doesn't have to be masculine and hate other women to be strong and capable and leader. YA books always seem to make female characters renounce all femininity so they're NoT LiKe ThE OtHer GiRls. I really hope you publish!!!
YES OMG I so relate to this! Sarabeth definitely grows a lot in her exploration and identity with femininity, but I think all the same she can be relatable! i know she definitely is to me!
@@CharleyAnn Most author or writer thinking writing strong female character is that to make them strong and masculine. That's a mistake to write female character like that because it's make the character less relatable and less interesting. A female character could feminine, strong, complex and relatable at the same time. Just like Maeve Wiley said Jackson Marchetti:"So what is your thing then ?" Maeve Wiley:"Complex female characters."
Wow I can’t wait to read this book someday if we’re all lucky enough to see it published! Also whenever you get a sponsor I’m so happy for you you deserve it
Im saying this cause this is the first time you might actually read my comment, but you have helped my relationship with my body so so so much. You have made me even more eco friendly, made me body neutral, and I just love you and you are amazing!
ahhh can’t wait to watch this later!! i’m *kinda* a writer, i love doing poetry and LOVE writing fiction but i’ve never gotten real into it despite my literature nerdiness lol i have a feeling that watching this will inspire me to write again. so, thank you in advance for being such a wonderful inspiration! can’t wait to keep up with your writing journey and to see where it takes u
I love that you’re sharing your writing journey! I’ve also been writing since I was young and it’s so nice to see someone so passionate about something I also love! Can’t wait to see where this journey takes you 💛
i haven't even gotten through all of the character descriptions yet but i already KNOW that Mateo is going to be my favorite.... i can't wait to meet all of them! :)
I almost didnt watch this video because I didnt think I was interested in writing, but I'm so glad I did. You are such an amazing writer and I cannot wait to read your work someday
you lift my mood EVERY TIME, and you also keep inspiring me!!!🥺 your content just gives me the comfort i need nowadays, and i can’t thank you enough!🥺💕
Omg I love your writing videos so much!! I loveddd hearing about the characters - they all seem so interesting and unique - not stereotypical at all! I can’t wait to read your book one day hopefully!!🤗🥰 the world you are creating sounds so magical🌲🍄🌾🌻🐚✨x
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who gets stuck when I read other books: If I adore a book (the six of crows duology is a great example for me too 😂) I’ll get stuck trying to write that book instead of mine.
I haven't watched this yet but I can't put into words how excited I am for it ! You have inspired me to read and write again and I am in the process of creating a storyline and eventually a book so thank you for that ;)
i'm already in love with all of the characters 🥺🥺i'd love to know: do you have any plans for a romance subplot in the series?? i think it'll be amazing with or without but i'm curious ahh
omg YES I'm trying not to go to heavy with it since they are all 15-17 and tbh I think its a little young for them to have dramatic romances but there are definitely crushes and some enemies to lovers arcs im working on!
I love watching these videos esp because i’m writing a book too :) i’m wondering did you draw those illustrations of your characters or had someone else do it? i’d love to do it for mine!! edit: NVM you answered this at the end 😭😂
omg!! i cannot wait to read this one day!! also, i have LOVED the name mateo since i was young and have wanted to name my first born that for so long 🥺
idk if you’ll see this, but i was just curious - what writing program do you use? (drive, scrivener, word, etc.) i use drive and idk if it’s the best in terms of organization/outlining lol (btw love ur vids!!!)
Genuine question here, are you afraid people will think that your characters of colour are only there to further the white main character’s plot development? Absolutely no hate here, i am scared that people will judge my question. As a person of colour, i’ve read books where characters of colour only seems to be there to help the white main character and didn’t have a whole lot going on for them.. i am absolutely sure that this is not the case and this is just a genuine question and concern. idk if my question makes sense
Your question makes total sense, and thank you for asking it! I am definitely cognizant of that issue in story telling with white protagonists, and I'm making a concerted effort for all of my characters to have independent story lines and motivations that build off of one another. This story is from the first person perspective of a white character, and external motivations may not be clear to her (or the reader) at first. But as the story evolves I hope everyone can see the care I put into all the characters development and motivations individually 💕💕 they are a team, and they all have to work together and depend on one another 💕
