FINALLY! New EA Hardware Getting Installed in Oregon 

Interesting. The other site upgrades that I’ve seen (online) replaced the Chademo units with EA’s previous generation hardware (the last ones with dual cables), so they were still getting replaced with newer hardware. The Chademo charger at this location (at the time of filming) was still the old, unreliable hardware that was installed years ago when the site was first commissioned. I hope that they plan to replace that charger with a new Chademo unit. The old one wasn’t good enough to leave there.

@@wrenchingfool5284 no I think they’re gonna leave it there until they replace it with another brand new charger when people stop caring about Nissan leafs and Kia soul Evs. Or something with a Tesla nacs thing

@@uwucaffeineaddiction4023 I think NACS is a typical Musk snake oil scheme to enrich his wealth/clout on the backs of others. An attempt to standardize/proliferation of NACS will have the effect of forcing CCS ev owner to buy expensive adaptor hardware. Just look at the current market, Level 2 adaptors, for J1992 to Tesla cost $50 or less, but Tesla to J1992 is about $100. CCS to Tesla Adaptor is about $300, Hw to convert Tesla super charger to CCS EV is yet to show up (from a recent check) and I would guess it will cost even higher.
