Nice job of presenting the idea of different scales in different positions. I often find it's a hard concept to explain to new players without making their heads explode. I think you found the right balance between letting them know there are more concepts out their without giving them too big a chunk to process in one bite. :) Edit- You might want to post some of these on some of the Facebook groups like Harmonica Lessons or Modern Blues Harmonica to get some more views. (I'm an admin over on MBH in addition to on the harmonica subreddit).
Really nice defn. it filled in some gaps in my understanding. A graphic of a harmonica illustrating which notes were playing might take it up another level. Tied into the number/note explanation.

when you are playing demo in second position major and minor .... are u only using those note holes that u have shown i always thought that 2nd position started on second hole and third position started on 3rd hole. thanks for clearing it up
Not really, because changing positions changes the key. Unless your song also changes key, then it wouldn't work. You could, however, grab another harmonica that matched up with the same key that uses the other position.
Still don’t understand it? I’m not sure how you transpose the notes from 1st position to 2nd position. If I’m reading tabs for a C harp and I play them as they are written down then I obviously get the correct tune, people then say play in 2nd position on the C harp, this is where I get stuck, how do I know what notes to play, they are not written down for 2nd position. If there were books where it had on 1 page all the notes for first position and on the next page all the notes you need to play to get 2nd position then that would make sense to me because you can see what notes to play. Hopefully one day I’ll find a video where someone can explain it to me.
