However i do study mechanical engineering at a university and just by looking at the pictures and the manufacturing on their Twitter you can notice they're cutting corners in every single step.. metal punching is not as expensive as they claim and they could be selling these for 80 dollars and still make reasonable profit... the only things keeping the price high is low availability and Finalmouse's big ego. Sad but true :/
Ah yes, Magnesium! Such a cool and unique element, forged in the stars... just like every single atom other than Hydrogen and Helium! I just don't understand why Finalmouse goes out of its way to make cringy advertising and pull asinine marketing stunts like Aim Gods. Their products are legitimately decent, I bought an UL2 largely based off of your recommendation Zy and I'm very happy with it. Despite having industry-leading specs they clown around giving themselves a bad image. Anyway, aside from the beginning where you just recited needless FM marketing, which doesn't have its place in a review, seems like you were fair. Although I'm definitely still worried about quality control and durability both of which FM have struggled with in the past. Even your red model you showed seems to have some imperfections: in front of the scroll wheel, it looks like a piece chipped off. Would have appreciated more scrutiny, this is a hefty price for a mouse.
Yeah the first couple of minutes of this video was... unnecessary at best. I get that he was excited for the mouse, but it was pure marketing bollocks, not something you put in a professional review.
With all due respect, and I really respect what you had to say, though I think RJN was joking when he explained that Magnesium was forged in the stars. It's obvious that a bunch of other elements are also forged in the stars. I don't think it's so much FM trying to be clever or cool, but more of RJN just making a light joke. Also I agree with everything else that you had to say. EDIT: Oh yeah, he also claimed to not get paid for this review, and wanted to have fun with this review(He wrote it in the comments). You might not consider it credible, but the joke sounds just too ridiculous for anyone to actually fall for it in the first place. Nobody out there is saying that their Starlight was forged in the stars. I think RJN is getting a lot of flak for his entertaining intro because it's seen as an advertisement.
Actually, this will define the future of the next gen mice on the market. If they achieved this kind of product with that price tag, comparing it to the Logitech G Pro X Superlight, it's a fair price. Superlight = 150 U$D, New finalmouse = $189. it's 39 u$d for the "best mouse" on the market right now. In the future, i bet some company will come out with a mass produced competitive alternative, and yes, 189 will be expensive looking back, but now? it's a fair price.
@@speedfx7989 doubt any company comes out with a magnesium mouse, maybe one day they will but I see them finding another way to achieve the same goal at a lower cost. New materials for sure due to structural strength but I doubt magnesium.

love u rjp, however, this video was basically an ad for this mouse. I know it's a good mouse but it felt as if it was a commercial rather than a review. Especially with the starlight alloy section. You also didn't mention any drawbacks to the mouse like the availability, scalping, and the shity shipping final mouse is known for. This mouse is basically only available for those who want to spend 200% from MSRP and for pros. It's a good mouse but it's not a good company overall. All love though really enjoyed the review.

It's my last full review, not an ad. Yeah I wanted to do something special so I put a heap of extra stuff in there, and I explained low weight because I figured it was the best time to do it. But the rest is pretty standard for a review. I even did lots of size comparisons. That was a lot of extra effort, I usually just do one. No appreciation for that though? Why are people so mad about a mouse video?
I feel your criticism of weight isn't as fair as it could be, the dumbbell itself is a much more awkward object to handle than a mouse designed for a hand. If you take a light cardboard box, it would retain the same awkwardness. I believe the reason why some people prefer mice to be a little bit heavier is so that you can feel exactly where your mouse will be moved to and can better gauge this due to the weight. If you have an extremely lightweight mouse, it may be too difficult to micromanage due to every muscle movement amplifying the adjustments you are trying to make (since some people may not be capable of exerting such minute pressures). Though, this does differ person to person and mousepad to mousepad and grip-style to grip-style.
Love that this "review" is flat out a commercial for the mouse with a sprinkle of the history of finalmouse and how great they are. Sadly you arent the reviewer you once where Zy, can't take a reviewer seriously if they are blantly biased to a certian brand.

That being said, that buying experience was awful. I don't have a bot machine/app to secure one of these. When a company is being anti-consumer or flaky, they need to be called out on it. I've owned many FinalMice and when they work they're great. But the customer service, botched drops, and multiple faulty mice I've received over the years has really turned me away from their products. It's a really shitty feeling to wait months for a release, then race to beat bots to purchase a highly priced mouse because the owner wanted a shortcut into the gaming peripheral market and can't meet demand, just to get a broken mouse that they then have to replace with a different older mouse they just had laying around because they ran out and even that one didn't work. Let's see FinalBoy put his money where his mouth and expand his company so we can receive the quality product we're paying for. They should pay more attention to the paint job though, very poor quality there. Specially in the silver/red one at 1:38 for example you can see the red spray leaking in the silver and vice versa. It would look and feel way better if anodized.
Great Video and well explained. I was amazed when i switched from a Logitech G502 to the Pro X Superlight. After many mice in the last 25 Years of playing FPS, it was the first time i was actually speechless at how much of a difference it was.
Personally some negatives about this mouse: -Grips have hex pattern, I prefer that part smooth -Mouse buttons have decorations, I also prefer smooth -The paint job doesn't seem perfect -price relatively high Of course the positives are huge, just my 2 cents. Currently using Glorious Model O Wireless. Thanks for the review! This video inspired me to boot up Quake Champions.

This feels just a little too brand sponsored for me, Zy. Still love the content but some of these things sound written by a salesman and just a tad dramatized. (All elements are formed in stars, almost all metals used in anything are alloys, weapons are still made with alloys today, not just thousands of years ago, etc.)

14:08 Of course, the 0.5 grams reduction is totally worth using a cheaper outdated connector that will probably break within 6 mounth of use... Even Logitech didn't try using that excuse.
Anyone else get excited for the MZ1 when he did the size comparisons? People criticized it for being too small but look at where those side buttons are and look at how long the triggers are. The thumb is designed to be placed so much further back on the MZ1 than any other mouse. So essentially, zy recognized how bad humps are for fingertip and got rid of the hump. Sure its thin, but there is no hump pushing you fingers out, most people should be able to comfortably have their finger going straight along the side of the mouse and not pinching/going inwards towards the front which causes cramping.
I honestly wanted much more of a mouse review, less of the Finalmouse marketing speak talking about magnesium alloy as a metal from the sun and going over the history of the mouse. Also claiming 189$ was a discount built in when Finalmouse themselves said 300$ wasnt going to be a sale price, it was going to be a resale price because the mouse would never be for sale, which it ended up being announce for sale not a month later. I get that the mouse is extremely impressive but let the product do the talking, not the marketing.
Why wouldnt you talk about how they said it would be 37 grams and its 41 on your scale? I know 4 grams isnt a huge deal but its a big enough difference from what they promised.
Will they? Logitech already dominate e sport scene with the g pro wireless,it outnumber every other mice by twice at least. Logitech was the last big brand to come with a mouse under 80g With so many pros and streamer using the g pro they already have all the marketing and advertising to dominate the gaming mouse market.
considering FinalMouse has shitty launches and have limited stocks and drops, Logitech and Razer probably won't even lose sleep over this. Logitech has all the big names using their G Pro X and they have their item in stock all the time and in every region so no worries for people to pay import taxes.

Dude I get so much hate with Finalmouse, plus I've had terrible sleep lately along with health issues for the last few years. Any negative on Finalmouse videos comes across 10 x worse than intended. You probably don't understand but I've been harassed, threatened and insulted for years just for being honest about Finalmouse. Yeah, honest. Accused of lying and being a shill, had my name dragged through the mud and people saying they've lost trust in me, disappointed in me, not what I used to be, all other reviewers are better now because I've ruined my reputation, etc etc. But these videos are always honest. I have very little patience left. Glad this is the last review I'm doing, I gotta get away from this stuff. I don’t see what’s wrong with their practices. They are offering free maintenance on every mouse for the first year. The supply has not yet kept up with the demand (they sold out in seconds) but they’re continuing to make them. Everyone will get one.
The signal cant be good if it can only come out from under the mouse? And why is there a need for an "Off switch"? All other wireless mice just detect when the mouse is not being used and shots off/hibernate!
The first comment I have posted on your channel. Hopefully, it's insightful. (I have received a lot of free highly valuable info from your channel, so I wanted to give something back in the form of constructive criticism. I saw in a response you made to another comment that you don’t really get the issue people are having with this. I’m not a hater, I have the UL2 and I consider it to be one of the best fingertip mice out there. However, this review seems a bit too much in some aspects. I’m not going to comment on the stars and swords, I get you wanted to make this review special, people have probably taken it the wrong way with all the finalmouse hate (they are very cringe-worthy with their lies and bs, I think we both know that deep down, but I’m not here to talk about that) Still, I think I have some valid criticism. I think you go overboard with the math. Not because of its difficulty, its basic physics, but because it genuinely doesn’t make sense in my opinion. You make the argument that “A lighter mouse is always going to be better for aiming”. I must disagree. (When comparing a 50-70g mouse to a 41g mouse, comparing it with the G502 is misleading, you know this, a high percentage of people who actually care about weight (people who watch mice reviews) are playing with 55g-85g mice, not with the G502 which weighs 121g without weights) Less weight = better stopping power is only true when you are moving your arm as fast as physically possible, because your total arm weight is higher, so it makes sense that your MAX speed will be hindered. The thing is: you will NEVER reach your max speed in-game. (I’m sure you can test this out. Try to move your had as fast as physically possible, record it with your high fps camera, and then flick really fast as you would normally play (don’t just try to flick randomly super fast and hit something, obviously. Play competitively, is what I’m trying to say) You will see that you will never even come close to your max arm speed. Why is this only relevant when you are going as fast as physically possible? Because if you are not going as fast as possible, you just need more force to stop at an equal speed. (Which you can get adjusted to, just as you would do to a lighter mouse) (When you stop as fast as physically possible, you literally use ALL your force, so that is why it makes sense only in that scenario). This means that it is not necessarily harder to stop a heavier mouse. It just requires more force. (With your point you are implying that achieving the same stopping power with a 50g mouse (UL2) is not possible vs a 41g mouse. I don’t think that’s true. You just need more force to stop it (which you have, by a huge margin, because the difference is only 4-9g, and again, you never reach max force “capacity” in-game, because you will never move your mouse as fast as physically possible. This is not the worst part about this review though. Again, you say “A lighter mouse is always going to be better. Then why dismiss the Zaunkoenig M2K completely, which weights 24g (It has a scroll wheel now so it’s actually a mouse now!). If we take what you say as the absolute truth, then the Zaunkoenig M2K would be better, but you dismiss it completely when it is ironically more available than the finalmouse which supposedly sold out in 10 seconds. (Again, very cringe lying, it sold out in 7mins approx) Hopefully, this comment was insightful and worth your time. But again, Finalmouse likes to lie on Twitter and say they sold out in 10 seconds, just as they did when they said that the "Legendary mouse of the Gods" was only going to be available through Aim Gods exclusively, in a pathetic attempt to make their mediocre game popular. I don't have anything against RJN, and I don't doubt that he made this review with good intentions, but the Finalmouse hate is understandable. I really like the fact that you have started adding MOBA test of fatigue - this is something I had struggled in the past while competing a lot in the LoL scene and only got it "well done" (still not as much ease as I would like to have) by Logitech G Pro
Wouldn't your argument of lower force and friction mean that hard mousepads are the best? If this is the case, everyone should be using a glass mousepad like the Skypad & control pads would be bad. Just a thought.
I remember when rjn reviews were direct, straight to the point with no marketing bs. Sure this is one of the best mice but theres no reason this review should be 18 minutes. I get you are not working with finalmouse anymore but you could not have made more of a marketing ad for finalmouse than this video. Lighter mice can make you aim better but your acting like anyone will become an aim god just by using this mouse. Very disappointed with this review.

I dont't think it will change the competitive scene very much, pros are still using zowie mice that are over 80 grams, even tho there are mice that are 60 grams
I think they're sponsored by Zowie. Through contract they can't used other brand in public especially in tournament. Imagine a company is paying you top dollars and all the expenses for you during tournaments and you're using another company mice
