I once met a dentist in India that told me " It doesn't matter whether you are rich or poor, the work will always get done". Made me tear up. I wish these western dentist had the same attitude.
I totally agree & it really makes me feel like some Dentists are just in it for the money. I saw 2 dentists & they said $40-$50k I nearly had a heart attack but later just cried. Now dont get me wrong I know they need to get paid but what about all the people that dont have family or friends, when they dont have the money themselves or any credit. Well they are out of luck right. Which is me, out of luck. In pain everyday & I cant do anything about it because I have no job, no money, no family or friends to help out. I play the lottery whenever I can as its my only hope of every smiling again one day, getting that job I always wanted, maybe a bf cuz I broke up with mine 10 yrs ago because of my teeth, I ran away & never told him why & some new friends would be nice too but nobody wants to be friends with a person that cant talk in front of anyone. I had to quit my job because I was so ashamed & embarrassed I couldnt take it so stressful. Sorry for the rant but I really agree with what you wrote. Thank you for being honest & saying the truth. I sure would love the smile she has but I dont have $40k & to be honest myself, I would settle for dentures which are cheaper.

Carecredit helped me out finance a large chunk with zero interest for 12 months. Can’t say enough good things about them. I don’t get paid for saying that. It helped! Pay it off within the timeframe or you get nailed with the interest.
Its so sad that even with options for financing, it all depends on your ability to show good credit or make payments and for some of us, weve had garbage jobs because of our dental situation or weve put our families first and let our credit scores drop so low we cant get credit. I also come from a family where there is literally no one left and even if there was family, they couldnt co-sign because of their credit. If I didnt have someone pay for my extractions, I probably would have died from the abscesses because I couldnt even afford that.
sadly a lot of dentist just care about the money, and there are very few good ones that will help out.. seems like a lot of people go through this dissapointment of the high cost of implants.. learn about implants first and figure out whats the best option for you.. and if you want implants get an experienced proven dentist in another contry for far less..
The sad part is how expensive it is. They wanted 46k for both sets implants. That Dentist drove a Bentley. I got regular dentures, luckily my insurance paid the majority and I'm happy with them
sorry, but not everyone can co-sign, you make it sound so easy. These type of videos give you hope and then it’s the same disappointment. This hits me hard, because i want to finish massage school and become a sports massage therapist. Been struggling for years, but won’t give up! No disrespect, but this doesn’t help people with bad credit and no co-signers.
@@denicesanders4586 yes, me too. Its so unfair right. I live in Canada & we think that our dental needs should be covered like out health is covered. Teeth are a part of our health! I am sick so much because of my teeth. The last dentist I saw for an infection told me that if I had not come into the office & got antibiotics that I could have died! I havnt been back to a dentist after that. Lets pray for us to somehow get lucky & be able to fix our teeth so we can feel good about ourselves because it seems that nobody and that includes dentists too, cares about us.
I just don't understand why dental work is so expensive. Implants can go up to $50K. Seriously? I Thank God I work for NY State and I have somewhat decent dental insurance but it caps at only $3K per year so I can forget implants. But for me thats okay, I'm not thrilled with implants anyway. Having screws dug into my gums down to my jaw doesn't appeal to me. Besides I've heard horror stories about implants so I will stick to dentures after the first few months pain is pretty much over with. After planning and saving for the last two years I am getting ready now to have my teeth extracted to get dentures. My insurance won't cover the extractions surgery and immediate dentures so I save some extra money for any out of pocket cost and when I get my permanents, I want really good ones so for the next year I am paying off my credit card so I can get what I want. Damn I wish I lived in Canada, I heard Medical and Dental are Free there.
Is this where you got your dental work done? Also, can you speak on the difference or have someone on to speak about the difference between individual/or 2 teeth implants vs full implants?
The dentist and financial options are all located in Florida. I live in Washington state. What are my options for finding a experienced dentist and my financial options in this state?
I work in a dental lab and know what the doctor pays for dentures, crowns, implants... All of these are done by hand and are very labor intensive and the materials are expensive. Then the doctor charges what they charge.. it's (on average) 3X what they paid. I love my job!! Every day at work, after the teeth have been set in wax for a denture, I carve that wax (called festooning) and make them look natural and pretty and think about the person who will want to smile again, feel so much better about their apperience, and that makes me very happy! Unfortunately I need to have my teeth pulled and my boss will make a denture for me, I just pay for the cost of materials. I just can't afford to have my teeth pulled. I live in Northern California, 60 miles north of San Francisco, and am sure geography plays a part in prices. It's really the pits!
Payment plans can be good or bad. Too many have taken these plans they can’t afford, because they are at wits end. The dental industry can overcharge because they offer “payment plans”. It’s ludicrous that USA doesn’t have decent dental insurance to help pay for their dentists fancy cars and homes. I’m sitting here with an upper denture I hate and horrible bottom teeth and can’t afford implants. I actually have one of the better dental insurances, but the charges outweigh the difference. It’s sad! Before the drug cartel ruined the Mexico border towns, I had a wonderful dentist there. The prices were phenomenal, but he’s now in Cancun where his daughter’s practice is. Why can’t we get the same here?
if you have crappy credit you will pay through the nose, thats what that means. you will pay more interest and it will cost you more in the end for the same procedure as the next guy but they have to charge you more because your not good with your money, get it.

I have a question to anyone who can answer. If you work at a call center, or anywhere where you are on the phone with customers/clients, and your job is talking a lot! How is it when you are coming back after 2 weeks from having extractions and new dentures?
Hi there, so it really depends on how many extractions you're getting but for me I had 22 teeth pulled and got dentures all in the same day and at the time I was a server and bartender and I took 2 weeks off and that was plenty of time. Honestly, I felt like my speech was a lot better, clearer. And the confidence I had again was so amazing! But yeah, 2 weeks and talking and everything should be fine by then. I hope this helps! @@drooshmaroosh8261 For someone like me who has garbage credit due to mostly health related bills - some because of my kids not being able to be insured, its not always about education. I have an associates but my family and myself have health problems and cant work full time. I can barely afford to live let alone afford dental work. Im not the only type of patient. And now that Im in my 50s, my health has only worsened and the bills still keep piling up despite paying other ones off.
