👉 Learn about the parts of a parabola. A parabola is the shape of the graph of a quadratic equation. A regular palabola is the parabola that is facing either up or down while an irregular parabola faces left or right. A quadratic equation is an equation whose highest exponent in the variable(s) is 2.
The parts of a parabola include: the axis of symmetry (the line passing through the vertex of the parabola to which the parabola is symmetric about), the vertex (the point at which the parabola turns), the domain (the set of possible x-values of the parabola, usually all real numbers for regular parabolas), the range (the possible y-values of the parabola which is usually the region above the vertex inclusive or below the vertex inclusive for regular parabolas), the x-intercepts (the points where the parabola cuts the x-axis) and the y-intercepts (the point(s) where the parabola cuts the y axis.

I love this man. My math teacher doesn't teach at all. She gives us notes and once in a blue moon we will do an equation together. Tomorrow I have a test, and all I have to do is go to your channel, and its like we are back to COVID years, your teaching me and i am actually learning.

Bro actually made this make more sense than my actual teacher- like I know what I’m doing now. He gave us home of 11 problems to find aos, vertex, and y-intercept when all he did as a lesson was get louder asking a question when someone didn’t understand.

only suggestion to make these videos better for those of us watching online is if you could either repeat the student's questions or edit it so they are easier to hear, cause it's really hard to hear what your students are asking, but they ask good questions. thanks for the wonderful help as always! my teacher is great but i tend to forget things as soon as it's time to do homework, so these videos really help!

Great lesson, entire point given from 0:50 to 1:30. unlike my teachers, it's easy to understand and doesn't take an hour of nonsensical prattling and rambling.10/10 would recommend.

Confused students - make sure that you ask questions if you are confused. But Mr. McLogan here does a great job. My students will be starting their 3 week unit on Quadratic Functions this week. They are taking their test on Factoring Polynomials this week.
