I love the this topic. I think coming from someone that has been rving for several years it's a breath of fresh air. Angie & I agree that we want to take our time, 3 to 4 weeks at each destinations. We have been in preperation for about a year now. We are commited to hitting the road debt-free. Angie has moved into a work from position & that was a huge steps for us. Right now we are renovating & making it our own. Next we are moving into an Rv park and hunkering down on our finances. Thank you for putting this out there, not every rv experience has to be an IG moment. It's a very valid point. Lou & Angie 💚💜

Hello Jessica, we are currently weekend warrior type of RVers. We are in the northeast and as you know the winters are rough here. We both work fulltime and the only time we have to go out is on weekends and when we both take vacations from work. We are looking forward to retiring and becoming fulltime RVers. Thank you for opening up and sharing with us your life. You and Robert are amazing for sharing all you share and putting yourselves out there the way you do. Thank you❤

Our outlook on #rvlife has changed and the way we rv is always changing. It's fun to see people a year or so later, imo settling in to what works for them.What I have found in these rv years,I might not know what I want but we learn what we don't like and want..In general it's just a different way to live.Its a journey I've embraced, an we are constantly learning .One thing is for sure WE are not on vacation 100%.Otherwise your budget gets blown QUICKLY HEHEHE😁. Once again good information hope to camp out and hang out soon.Merry Christmas Jessica to you and your family .

Hello Jessica, we hit the road in June full time after watching thousands of RU-vid videos including you guys' channel. We're a working family with two teenagers, and follow the Thousand Trails 14/7 pattern. It's a little hectic so far and we're planning on slowing down in the near future. We both work online so we have a bit more freedom to move. We're in Florida now, so if you have some time, we'd love to meet. Andy & Lety.

Hi!! Well, welcome to full-time RVing!! Yeah, the 14/7 would be a little hectic. Have you thought about upgrading to the elite membership? It's a bit more, but it will help you move around once a month instead. Send us an email so we can try to meetup while we are all in Florida: jessica@exploringthelocallife.com

Well said Jessica, we’ve all done the ebb and flo in the stix&brix so why not in the RV. Life is being around those we love no matter where we are. Cheers to 2020 being the year you’re both working from the trailer and home together every night as a family. 🥂

You are right. Each RVer must find his own path, and the choices are endless. Personally, I've found after 50 years of RVing, that constantly moving from place to place is not the best choice. It's OK for a vacation but as a permanent lifestyle, it's unsettling. Yes, it's exciting at first, but then people find out how much it costs and how it can isolate them from society. It can become overwhelming, especially if someone gets sick or finances thin. We loved full timing, but after 3 years decided that the best choice was to keep the RV for travel but live most of the year in a condo. It has worked really well for us, especially now that we're older. I had a tumor removed from my brain last year and can tell you that living in a brick and mortar home really helped because we had doctors we knew and established neighbors and friends who helped us. We still RV, but now stick closer to home...but as I said, RVing offers different paths to different people. What's nice is that you can change your path if need be. I recently started posting on YT. Don't know if my posts will even be seen enough as views and subs are quite small...but for those who want tips and help the stuff is there if they need or want it. Best of luck. My best advice? Simplify as much as you can.

Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your personal experience. I'm really happy that you found the RV lifestyle that works for you - RVing for travel. I hope your recovery from your brain tumor has been one of continual improvements. Yes, RVing is all about freedom and no one can decide what that means for anyone else. 💗

It is good to hear about a more down to earth approach to the full time RV life style. I want to start eventually, but I am sure that I will be stationary for a big chunk of the year.

I have to say I like these videos more cuz your straight up people. You can watch hundreds of vids about parks and resorts, but we prefer reality vids cause that’s were the meat and potatoes are. Merry Christmas Jessica and Robert.

Our journey and flow is about to be discovered. 😁 We will close on the sale of our house soon (in the next 15 days). Then we head south in our RV. Hubby drives truck and I facilitate our children in learning. Money will be tight at first so I do not anticipate a lot of moving... Just far enough to not have things freezing up on us. Thanks for the insight and I hope you are all blessed in the coming year 💜

Thank you for this timely video. Hoping to embark on full time living in the next year or so. We are a retired mid 50’s couple on a limited budget, my current plan is to live how we do now but in a RV and be able to see places. My question is: Is planning a RV life the way you currently live a good idea and slowly add more activities, like walking around RV parks maybe a few small hikes? Does this sound like a reasonable way to start?
@WalkAndPaddle
@WalkAndPaddle 4 года назад
We would definitely recommend taking it slow. Add activities as they work with your life. If you need to take time and slow down, you can do that too. You are not locked into anything and since you are RV living, there is no rush! 💗
@livinthervdreamwithtimetra7276
@livinthervdreamwithtimetra7276 4 года назад
Very reasonable. You'll find that RV living isn't much different than living in a house except that you can be more flexible and mobile. Just remember that the more you travel the more likely you are to need repairs, etc..and they can be costly.

Do you have to change the engine of the RV when you make big trips? I think cars can have a life span of 200K miles.
@kmpozxyq
@kmpozxyq 4 года назад
Many RVers use travel trailers or fifth wheel campers, I believe. Also, many motorhomes (the ones with motors) are diesel and their engines last a bit longer than the average gasoline vehicle. I hope that helps.

@@kmpozxyq thanks very much. It's so encouraging to know I don't have to think often about the life spans of motorized homes with diesel
@WalkAndPaddle

We have a diesel truck and it has over 200k miles on it already. Last year we had significant work done on it - $8k. However, buying a new one would be about $60k+...so...
