This video will show you current remotes you can buy today that are still compatible with 1980s sears garage door openers and how to program them. This applies to pretty much all models that begin with 139.663 or 139.664
Remotes I used in this video are the 61LM, 811LMX, and 892/894LT

That's how you do it Now I get it Of course family member has a series like that needed to get that Programmed and what I did not know is that there were dip switches behind that remote

Will the 894LT work with other brands? I need a remote that will work with a allister MVP and a purple learn button craftsman.

You speak of the "receiver" can you tell me how I would search the internet to find a similar receiver. My Craftsman garage door is a 1/2 HP and model 136.664000, I need to locate a receiver. Thank you .

You may be able to find the original receivers on ebay, but the best option if you need a receiver is to buy the liftmaster 365LM universal receiver, it plugs into an outlet and wires into the opener and you can use current remotes with the receiver and it also upgrades the opener to rolling code which is more secure
