Really cool opener I got one a couple months ago but it took me over a year to find it it’s a really rare opener. You should try to get a genie trac drive sometime.
Hey, I have a question, how many gears are in a chamberlain 1/2 hp ac travel module, I am not sure if I lost a gear inside because it has 2 and I remember it having 3 last time I opened it.
It means they have a slightly different motor, they were having issues with motors causing extra noise so the M means they have the new motor that fixed the issue
It is actually easy to to take off the belt clip you just need a flat head screwdriver, hammer and pliers so you need to take the flat head screwdriver and hammer under the tabs and pry it up while holding the opposite side with your pliers and to put it back just bend it back to where it was with your pliers or your hammer I have done this same way when I shortened a 8 foot rail to a 7 foot if you have any questions just reply back.
I like that Chamberlain in the blue case. I still like the new AC motor Chamberlain units. I'm not big on the new DC motor openers, they do sound like a vacuum cleaner i think my old Chamberlain 248730 1/2 HP is quieter than the new DC openers.
I think the only new DC Chamberlain I've heard that actually sounds good is the main C2212 I Installed at my aunt's house. The far C2212 is starting to get pretty loud vaccum noise, though
