Hey, it's been a minute! You still with me?
It's summertime and I finally got out of the house to chase trout! Finding big trout in the summer isn't easy. In fact it can be downright difficulty. Especially fishing for Trout in muddy water.
High and stained water presents it's own set of challenges. It is difficult to see the where you are wading, and often the spots where you normally wade are now over your waders. But fishing muddy water for big Browns can be rewarding. Very rewarding. Sometimes, the large specimens are holding in a place that is not tight to cover, making finding them a little easier, and easier to cast to.
When the stream is muddied up due to a recent rain, I like fishing for trout using crankbaits. The bigger profile and pronounce wiggle will often grab the fish's attention.
Fishing muddy water for big Brown Trout isn't for the feint of heart, but it is often the key to fining big Brown Trout in the summer!
