Despite my best efforts to catch more fish, I remain average at best. But that doesn’t stop me from trying! Maybe you'll learn something, maybe you wont.
Bout TIME!!!! been waiting on a video from you for a while now lol!! great video and action Ryan. Would you mind sharing the color/pattern on your crank bait? hard to tell in the video.. it almost looks pearl. Thanks!
Jesus dude..work on your fish handling skills. Your killing way more fish than you think with the way you handle these big fish. Please stop letting the fish flop around on the bank as you dig your tape measure out.If you're going to release fish keep the fish IN the water inside your net as you unhook it. I just watched a different video where you released a 20 inch fish gushing blood from its gills. Just keep the fish if its bleeding that bad. Do better if you're going to target these fish.
Very good. My father taught me how to trout-fish the small streams of Northern Indiana when I was 6-7 years old-so, about 65 years ago. Am the oldest of 4 boys...we say the brook trout is our family fish. Such a relief to watch someone who actually knows how to fish!!!
you should try pline fluroclear, its got a flurocarbon coat so its vitrually invisible and it spools like mono and casts like mono. and you get 300 yards for like $11. And great video! love your channel!
You may be right. It has been a while since it tried fluro. It use to be terrible on a spool. Too stiff. Might be time to give it a try again. Thanks for watching!
Great question! Yes, although I do not do it frequently. I am not sure why. I use to. I own four five fly rods, six reels, and an excessive amount of flies and tippet.
Another great vid... I really look forward to watching the new ones you do. Keep on making them. It gets me even more jazzed to keep at them here in pa
I’m trying to unlock the crankbait bite on Browns and Rainbows on the river where I live in Idaho. I hear the larger fish prefer crawdad colored Rapalas but I’ve yet had any success. What spinning reel is that you were using in this video? Looks nice and great for trout fishing.
I believe I was using a Daiwa Regal 2000. Pretty smooth budget reel. I seem to replace my reels every couple of years as I am not kind to them. And, I usually buy what's on sale. Tough to go wrong with Daiwa though. As for the cranks, I like to mimic they types of fish that are in the river, which usually means Brown Trout and Rainbow patterns for my area. Thanks for watching.
I ve been on a hard grind and serach for stream, creek, river tributary that far off the beaten path brother. I catch a peace of mind for my soul and searching for trophy trout
You trout videos and content is absolutely on point, amazing and real Ryan. Could we e mail??? Please and thank u as fellow trout fishermen. Id like to catch a 20 inch brown. Its a goal and dream for me brother. Best i ve done was 17 inch brown on the white river.
@@theaveragejoefisherman4287 I'm from Washington state. But I have lived in Arizona since 2006. When I got out of military. Even the once mighty Colorado would be considered a creek by our standards lol.
I didn't mean to imply that particular creek was in Arizona. I was just saying that the people down here would call it a river by it's size .. even though people like us from the north know better..
