Hey Dan, I was curious, when you're not pressed for time, how long are your average sessions. Also, does your body get cramped up by the end of the day. I'm 6'6" tall and I couldn't imagine being in a kayak very long.
Great question… I suppose it depends on the day and session! Generally, I don’t want to go through the hassle of taking the kayak out (and packing it back up) unless I confidently know I can get on the water for at least 2 or 3 hours. However, I’ve done some marathon sessions where I’ve been on for 10-12 hours. On longer days, I can get a bit sore, though I do take time to stretch and move around. I like to think that during better fishing days, it’s a bit easier to tune out any discomfort. There are some kayaks that I think are a bit better equipped to handle taller people.
I agree... last year was so solid out west (both Sound and South Shore) that I think I got a little spoiled! Well, at least there's still some nice fish to be caught!
Haha, yeah, I've been seeing so many of them around, and have had similar run ins with them during this point in the summer in the past! Thanks for watching!
