Yes I’m much the same I don’t use the gloves sometimes because I want to feel the tools and buttons of cameras

At first I thought this was a good idea, but , have you ever tried to push a solid object with a flat side through water? Yeah, pretty tiring I would think. But what about a sort of spoon shaped tool, maybe like a detectors scoop ( more direct flow from end of scoop) anyway just a thought.

@@markwigmore2103 I wonder if you went to Woolworths and bought a pack of 3 of those thin cutting boards and shaped a hour glass shape from one of the thinnest and leave the first 75 mm solid but as you go up the next say 100 mm you could drill a few 10mm holes in it to reduce resistance but the tip will still move the dirt. Tassie Boys Prospecting I would buy a blown up photo of an interesting looking gold picker. If you include that piece of gold in the lower part of that framed photo, autograph it and maybe include a small map or picture of the region in Tasmania in which it was found. It would be a great way to take a small relatively inexpensive piece of gold and turn it into a piece of art that could be sold for hundreds of dollars potentially! You could charge more for bigger nuggets and unique shapes. Make a few of them and offer it to your followers first. I think it would be an amazing way for you to supplement your income. People wouldn’t paying for just a small speck of gold but the cool story behind it. I live in NYC and can only fantasize about doing what you do! Please consider👍🏼

Thanks mate yeh I work hard play hard with it the time on the camera and computer are the hardest for sure so it’s good to get good comments like this means it’s not all done in vain.

The gold on this area is glacial so it doesn’t have any source like a shedding reef so to speak but yeh other rivers in Tassie do

So that's why they look like Italian Rizo (rice) pasta!

Those rivers go thru periods of flooding, gravel beds get scrubbed and wash out, when that happens, chunky pieces get smaller. I guess you got to find them before, they get beaten down...😁...upstream lad, upstream!
