Japan Haul!!!! ❤ I love your Ziggy segments and wish you would do more focused videos on them. I don't collect or have a particular interest in Ziggy, but to hear the joy you take from the items really sells the video and makes me want to rewatch them.

Awesome Pops/Japan haul. I don't have any nostalgia for Ziggy but I still enjoy collectible stuff in general so learning about it and seeing your passion for it is cool. The character is cool though and I like the wide variety of scenarios he is drawn/made into. I also watched one of your Pop Comics videos last night where you were showing off Ziggy prints that were sent to news printers, super cool.

Very cool, it makes me happy you enjoy the videos for the fun of it. ZiGGY peaked in popularity in the late 1970s through the mid 1980s so he does have a narrow fan base base on those times. But I will always enjoy him.

Yeah I would love to see more love for ZiGGY. He has become an old character with a smaller fan base these days. I will keep enjoying him though for as long as I am here to enjoy him.

My guess 2000-3000 sold 1000-2000 for sale but I don't have an accurate count just a guesstimate.

I dunno if it just has to do with the licenses but every Pop from 5 years ago seems so much cooler than the ones being produced today 🥲

You are correct, Funko went public in 2017. Since then they have made profit over quality an important factor so they fired a lot of the creative team. The boxes use 3d rendered images of the characters instead of the flat 2d art they use to use. Then the pop themselves they are more likely to release reprints or repaints or new versions of characters they did already if they sell well. So you will see more popular characters over produced, and not as many small print runs of unique more interesting pops. And then they put a lot of the more interesting ones behind a paywall with the NFT pops, which cost $50-100 to get at retail, so you are paying a ton to get them. They are still cheap $10 toys you are just over paying for a unique gimmicky way to get them and a lower print count. All of that and several other factors just make modern pops just not that interesting to me. I still really enjoy those older ones though, otherwise I would just be selling everything.

I think he had a higher print run so there are plenty of that pop to go around but he does have some value looks to be in the $40-50 range so you are correct. He is cool was gonna keep him regardless of value.
