FINDING LOW PRINT RARE GEMS IN JUNK WAX ERA 

The 1991 Fleer Acrylic cards are amazing, but real expensive. I have been trying to hunt down the Rik Smits one for two years and I haven't seen one.

I have the rarest prototypes that was made in the junk wax era. The PROSET PROTOTYPES BASKETBALL. Yes....Proset made Basketball cards. My set is the only set of BGS 9.5 ever put together. And it has quite a story to it. As a matter of fact...you're boy Hakeem has a appearance in the story. There are only 7 Jordan bgs 9.5s in the world and I own 4 of them.

Remember as a kid thinking Skybox was high end. Loved them through the years and wish that original set hadn’t been so overprinted

I found 5 factory sealed boxes of 1996 fleer sprite basketball in my collection. I’ve had them for so many years and just recently realized what they were

1990 Skybox basketball also had a set of 4 broadcasters, almost impossible to find. I've got 2 out of 4, been searching for the other 2 for the last 15 years and no luck.

Enjoyed the video. Most people now either don’t know about or appreciate the promo, non-numbered, and other unique cards from the early 90’s. They aren’t “junk wax” as most are extremely limited and extremely difficult to find now in mint condition. Hoops Promo pack had no number on the back, just 5 cards in it, and one was a RC Shaq! Other limited cards like the Hoops 5th Edition are great too. Look forward to more videos.

Also there are 4 1991-92 style upper deck basketball prototypes. Jordan, David Robinson, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird. The magic and bird seem to be the rarer of the two.

I really like 1990 Skybox. I opened many boxes. Unfortunately I threw almost all of them out years ago.

I get these 5 dollar mix boxes and so far pulled a Pete Rose ( not one of the big ones), Sammy Sosa, Dan Marino/Mark Clayton, and some others.

90 skybox was my intro to basketball cards. The foil packs were cool too, different than topps wax packs.

I’ve been meaning to ask you, do you have any method of increase of PSA 10 pop on a specific card in a set time period? I watch all your PSA pop update videos but wondering if that’s doable on a single card.

So 30 years ago, my mom was working at a super market, giving out samples of Tony's Pizza. Inside each box was a pack of 3 cards that resembled (exactly) the 1991-92 Fleer basketball set, except that each card came with an "S" in front of each individual numbered card. Apparently that day, the lady working next to mom was tossing every pack into the trash as she was handing out the pizza samples. My mom knew my interest in cards and tried to salvage as many cards as she could out of the trash. Well today, those cards are worth quite a bit more than their regular issue 1991-92 Fleer basketball counterpart. Retro- can you find any info on these cards?

I've been having a lot of fun picking up cards of my favorite players from silly, quirky sets of the '90s like this one from Ziploc: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jo4fNfgb8r0.html I've been astonished at the quality of some of the sets. Often, they're produced by the major manufacturers (like Topps, Fleer, etc.). It's a really fun and inexpensive way to collect, I've discovered.
