Seen Through Glass why is the Citroën RHD?????? At that price it’s a steal (compered to the swedish Market) and I would love to buy it if it was LHD.... btw, love your content!
Haha, yes but I did say I wasn't considering the Ferrari, just wanted to check out what my ultimate rally car would be so I could work back from there :)
As you'll probably read more comments than you usually do, I just wanted to say you're probably one of the best ratio content/quality in this car industry YT world. Thanks for what you do and keep going please :) (from my confinement in France, J+5 good luck guys)
@@seenthroughglass I didn't want to go to the lengths of writing what @aymeric wrote again only for you to get around to reading it again, just wanted to let you know I smile without knowing it when watching your videos, certainly the most enjoyable car content. All the best from your veteran subscriber in Turkey :) Here since the 4C.
Agree, I used to watch all of the "leading" car youtubers (MrJww, Shmee, SoL etc.) back in the days. But Sams channell is the only one I´m watching regurally and with pure joy. The key is that Sam is very down to earth person and really does all of his videos with passion without fake snoby shit. Stay like that Sam !
Thank you for staying true to your fans and not giving foolish, incorrect advice like some other channels are doing right now. I come here for automotive lifestyle content. You always deliver!
yeah, and while modifying a 1.6 HF might be a bit sacrilegious, you could find a 1.3S (for considerably less money: a nice ones can be found below €15k in Italy) and go from there. But if you're not too keen on FWD (although rest assured: the Fulvia is a great little car) you could probably swing over to Renault (think of R8 Gordini but maybe don't get a Gordini, or R5 Turbo although these are rare super cool little coffin-rockets) or an old Porsche without spending nearly as much money as for a 308
Great video, always fun seeing you exploring something from that Furlonger place! And big respect for the virus disclaimer at the front of this video. Great to see people with an audience engaging with what is affecting us all, thank you!
You desperately need this Sam! Suits you so well and the content you could create with it would be so cool. I’ve been a big fan of these for a while now and really want one myself
Sam, nice touch. You are the first that I have seen of the car community to publish a statement regarding the current situation. So I will nod my head in appreciation for your respect of the current pandemic. Keep safe
This channel is so underrated. You deserve way more views!! Also, you could review a Subaru Impreza WRX STI or a Mitsubishi Evo... Just some suggestions for you Sam👍
Hello! I’m almost done having my 308 converted into almost rally spec. My advice is, buy that Michelotto replica. You will overshoot that price by miles if you build your own.
I love your content since you came to Portugal! I really enjoy your videos and I hope you continue bringing to us this rally car's videos! Stay safe, from Portugal ❤️
Hey Sam, great video as always and a shame that there is the need to put the disclaimer at the beginning, but very decent of you for doing so. I'm sure for all of your subscribers, having your videos to watch is something to look forward to during the coming weeks 👍
*If you get the chance to go back, after we get through these incredibly difficult times, I for one, would like to see you do a video with that yellow Koenig Specials F48 (provided if the still have the car for sale then). Koenig's are rare, no matter what the model, but that car is apparently 1 of 2 RHD F48's. It's done almost 50,000 miles, so its 520 HP, have been properly used a bit.*
So sick! If you going to have a project car and document the process that would be so nice! And Wil be refreshing amongst al the standard supercar RU-vidrs. Luckily you and JWW and in a way Tim are focusing on the classic and modern day classic. Those kind of cars are a lot more fun to watch then the occasional Lamborghini I my opinion. Love your content mate! Keep it up! ❤️
Fair play with the opening statement @seen through glass Stay safe and well, your content is absolutely a welcome distraction, and I will continue watching as long as you're making it :)
I remember having seen videos with the 308 Rally cars in. Always thought that it looked cool. But you should get yourself a Lancia Delta Integrale, Ford Escort Cosworth, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO or something like that and make into a rally car. Would be really cool and much cheaper than a Ferrari 308. Or maybe a real classic like the Lancia Fulvia 2 door with the V4 engine. But a really good video though. Keep up the great work.
Really appreciate it! The Batman is a fakey. Owned it for about 15 years. Trying it for size and would love to get a new watch this year (if life permits)
an Evo or Subie will be alot more fun an controllable in an offroad rally environment as theyre awd, i dont know the pricing for them in the uk, but even converting one of those would be cheap as well and unique to you as there is such a large aftermarket scene for them in comparison to the 308, yes theyre no ferrari, but offroad theyre quicker!
Some good content coming. Nice direction. Unlike some of your British RU-vid mates who still insist on content focussed on “which super car should I buy” or “did I buy”???
Hi Sam, what do you think about the idea to buy a Golf 2 Syncro (Diesel-Engine). And that do a swap for a GTi Engine? You can get a Left Hand drive Golf 2 Syncro for less that 2000 Euros. So you have a lightweight 90 s hot hatch.
I’m obsessed by getting a rally car at the moment too, although I’m probably going to go for a group N Impreza or Evo. Just as something to hack around on the weekends and track, and maybe compete in if I really feel the urge.
I've noticed the considerable drop in the volume of new RU-vid content over the last 24-36 hours - so anything you guys can create is very welcome! Thanks... and keep it up if you can. We're all grateful!
As far as Sam in a rally car I don't know if there anything better then that 308 lol. Obviously do what's best for you and your channel but I feel that ferrari would be killer....
Personally I think since the bodykit on your c4 is pretty rare, why not think of converting it to all wheel drive, put a sequential box in it, and probably power upgrades.
How about a stripped out rally F-Type? You would love it, and we would love to see the conversion. Now that is settled its just a question of rwd or awd? 😁
Hi Sam, I build classic rally cars and have a tasty stable of them. Your channel screams out for a MK1 or MK2 escort rally car, or Talbot Sunbeam. Comparably cheep, easy to build, maintain. RWD, big skids. Perfect for the channel.
Seen Through Glass Great choice! I don’t have an Escort in stock currently but if you ever want to come play with a Lancia Delta Integrale GR.A rally car or two 90’s Mini Rally cars which competed in the WRC let me know.
I think realistically an subaru gc8 impreza sti, an mitsubishi evo from the 1 to 6 generation or the often forgotten toyota celica gt4 will be the best and easiest way to get an rally car thats almost identical to the ones winning wrc championships in the 90's. Or, something that I think suits you better, an hawk or Lister bell stratos. Although an modified 308 would be bonkers as well. To be honest, I don't think you can go wrong no matter what direction you decide to go.
