Finding out my REAL Harry Potter House 

I remember a COMPLETELY different quiz that determined which house was your ideal house. I don't remember all of the questions but one that I do remember was "You find a bag of Gold Galleons on the floor with no name written on it. What do you do?" And I remember choosing the choice that was the equivalent of "Put it in the 'lost and found'."

Well I just tried it. My daughter has been bugging me to do it, but never bothered to mention I had to log in, so I used my nickname. Still, I was surprised to find out I was listed as a Griffindor as well. I expected either Raven or Huffle. I knew I was not the Slytherin type. I'm a Navy Veteran as well as a vet of both wars. You may do somewhat well in the military for a short time as a Slytherin, but ultimately your actions will betray you. Honor, Courage, and Commitment is the Navy motto.

First time I was sorted for Hogwarts I was sorted into Ravenclaw. Recently I retook it and had a better understanding of what was being asked of me and got into Slytherin. I also looked up a quiz somewhere called "Pottermore All Questions" and took it and got Slytherin because the Pottermore quiz sometimes omits random questions. It might help that I've looked up how the algorithm works and what answers lean to which houses. A lot of people I know think of me as a toss-up between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, which was reflected on "Pottermore Sorting quiz all possible questions" (www.gotoquiz.com/pottermore_sorting_quiz_all_possible_question) where I was split almost evenly between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. On top of that I _do_ have a preference towards Slytherin, and I took the "all possible questions" quiz more seriously, so I kind of gamed the Pottermore test to the house I wanted once I figured out what answers lead to what house. Unlike some people, I wouldn't have minded being sorted into Hufflepuff. It's just that the "All Possible Questions" results indicated I'm less Hufflepuff than any other house.
