We also meet 7 Potters in the whole series: Harry Potter Lily Potter James Potter Ginny Potter Lily Luna Potter James Sirius Potter Albus Severus Potter
Snape also made 7 spells that we know of although it could potentially be more Sectumsempra, vulnera sanetur, levicorpus, libracorpus, mufliato, langlock, toenail growing spell
There were also 7 different people who destroyed the 7 horcruxes: Harry - Diary Dumbledore - Ring Ron - Locket Hermione - Cup Goyle/Crabbe (differs from book to movie) - Diadem (as he cast the fire) Voldemort himself - Harry Neville - Nagini Interesting to see a mix of 5 Gryffindors and 2 Slytherins, but I wish a Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff destroyed 1 too, perhaps making it 3 Gryffindors, 2 Slytherins, 1 Hufflepuff and 1 Ravenclaw
S(ix years of Hogwarts) E(xpelliarmus was Harry's winning spell) V(oldemort would be his worst enemy) E(ternal Glory in the Triwizard Tournament) N(imbus 2000 was his first broomstick)
Harry also met Voldemort 7 times. Once as a baby, once in the first book, once in the second book, once in the fourth book, once in the fifth book, and twice in the seventh book. Once in the Forbidden Forest and once in their final battle.
Deathly Hallows (deleted scene). Ron: I heard it! Your voice, Hermione. Hermione: And what exactly did I say, may I ask? Ron: *It's LeviOsa, not LeviosA.*
I just realised something else. Because there are 7 years in Hogwarts and 7 horcruxes (though it can be argued there are 8), each horcrux may correlate to a year at Hogwarts: - Year 1, Harry and Quirrell. We're introduced to both of them in the book. Also, Harry being.. well... the main character, Quirrell being the first attempted at Harry's life from Voldemort, they are important characters in the first book (and the rest of the series). - Year 2, the diary. The diary is a key part of this book's plot, it being the main reason why Harry was locked out of platform 9 3/4, the spiders, Ginny, the basilisk, the attacks and much more. - Year 3, Slytherin's locket. This could resemble the time turner. - Year 4, Hufflepuff's cup. The cup could show how Hufflepuff wanted the glory because they are so downtrodden in the series (I bloody love Hufflepuffs) and how upset they were when Harry was selected as the fourth Triwizard champion. - Year 5, Ravenclaw's diadem. This may resemble the fact that we're introduced to a few Ravenclaws in the Order of the Phoenix, such as Luna. - Year 6, the ring. Dumbledore found the ring, was poisoned by the ring and was one of the reasons why Dumbledore died. It did also serve as the reason Harry was set up for victory against Voldemort and the hunt for horcruxes. - Year 6, Nagini. Harry had to kill Nagini to destroy all the horcruxes and Voldemort himself.

Here's the thing about Harry's improvement in potions class in the 6th book, even though everybody credits the HBP for it: Harry's issue wasn't the instructions he was given. Harry was constantly harrassed and bullied by Snape in potions class which understandably would have flustered him. This caused him to just misread and incorrectly apply the directions given. Remember, Snape (the HBP himself) oftentimes wrote the instructions for the potions on the board instead of simply having them take them from the textbooks (further proof of JK Rowlings foresight and incredible depth of storytelling.) Snape also crushed any enthusiasm Harry may have had (he was eager for the class before his first year) which would have made him more attentive and might very well have become a prodigy like his mother and Snape before him and like Harry was in DADA. So, while the HBP certainly gave Harry the edge over someone like Hermione because of the added brilliance and mastery, Harry also quit making mistakes constantly because he felt more at ease and encouraged. Also, the prince caught his eye and captured his imagination and attention. So, it's kind of like an unintended redemption of kind for Snape, as he was the reason why Harry was so awful at potions but then was also the reason he flourished and excelled, ultimately winning Harry Felix Felicis and, as a result, the singlemost crucial memory required to understand how to ultimately defeat Voldemort. It's like a subtle hint of foreshadowing to Snape's true identity as well as, in retrospect of DH, the ultimate encapsulation of Snape's Anti-Heroism/grey complex.

I agree. In spite of having a teacher who hated him, Harry managed to get EE on his Potions OWL, showing that he was actually pretty good with potions. Imagine if Slughorn had been his Potions teacher from the start. If that were the case, I believe Harry could have kept up with Hermione.
Voldemort only intended to create 6 Horcruxes, so that his soul would be divided into 7 pieces. However, he accidentally turned Harry into a Horcrux, meaning he ended up with a total of 7 Horcruxes, meaning he ended up dividing his soul into 8 pieces.
@@adorhym12 Wasnt that just a theory? It would be pretty good a decision tho since the sword of Gryffindor was one of the few things capable of destroying horcruxes, only others were the basalisk fangs, feindfyre, and the killing curse, the order cant use the killng curse because they dont mean to cause pain, the basalisk was killed in the chamber and since only a few people can speak parsletounge the basalisk fangs arent that accessable, feindfyre is way to dangerous, seeing as it destroyed the room of requirement, kill crabbe, and it DID destroy the diadem, but that was just lucky. That means if Voldemort succeeded he would be pretty much unstoppable.
Also I think the original release date for the seventh Harry Potter book was supposed to originally be released on July 7 2007. but got changed to 21st
This is waaaaaaay too thought out by Rowling. This is amazingly scary, but it’s so cool to see how well thought out this is by using the magic number 7. Which is actually my lucky numb.....wait a minute........ WHA?!?!
I honestly do not know if you will see this or not, but could you do the entire life of Aang, with all of the events from before he knew he was the avatar, to the ice burg, to the north pole, etc? He has such an interesting story that you can relate to at many times in some ways if that makes any sense... It would also be good because netflix announced that the original three seasons / books should be on netflix in the US on May 15th. Thank you to whoever read / reads this.
@@WumpyDumpy I have before, but the videos were posted way before I could comment anything. At the time that I made this comment, the video had been uploaded 5-10 minutes ago. Reading this comment back, I can see that some parts might be considered rude, but I just want to let you know that I am not trying to offend you.
Great video as always and so interesting how the number 7 became a huge theme in the books. I would love to see more Harry Potter vids like this! Also can you look at doing a life of Oliver Wood?
Great video. I would just had that Harry's birthday is at the end of the seventh month. Also there are 4 unregistered animagus has far has we know. (The 3 Marauder's and Rita)
This must have been a lot of work. Most of it are things that I had never thought of. To add to it, there is a very big chance my little sister was seven years old when my dad began reading the Harry Potter books to us as bedtime story. Now if this comment could just get seven likes, everything would be perfect
When I saw Draco in the Room of Requirement it hit me: Are you telling me Voldemort REALLY thought he was the only person that knew about that room while Draco, a DEATHEATHER, was trying to fix the Vanishing Cabinet in that very room in order to transport fellow DEATHEARTES into Hogwarts?
The room of requirement changes according to the person seeking for it, hence voldemort knew no would ever find because their desired kind of place would be different
@@nidhihugar but in the books its stated that it was years and years of rule breaking students items, including recent inventions such as fanged frisbees being banned less than 10 months ago being stuck in there, proving at least 5% of students know its there(Maybe the DA?), and at least a few hide stuff every year.
Hi I love your video's and I was wondering if you could make a video based on the life so far of Rose Granger Weasley or just the kids of the Harry Potter characters.
Can you please do a LOOOOOOONG Video about: The Entire life of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore? PLEAAAAAAAASE (I´m not asking for Attention but please like this so Morgan can see this I´M COMMENTING FOR SOOOOOOO LONG)
Great Video, very informative and well-detailed :) However, and correct me if I am mistaken : I understood differently the number 7 for Voldemort's Horcruxes, : he wanted to split his soul into 7 pieces, which implied that he had to make 6 Horcruxes (so that there would be 6 pieces of his soul out there + 1 still in his body), so basically Harry was the 7th Horcrux "he had never intended to make". However, at the time Harry (or part of him) became a Horcrux, he became a 6th Horcruxe, as Nagini was made into a Horcrux years later. Which means that when Voldemort turned Nagini into a Horcrux, when killing Bertha Jorkins in Goblet of Fire, he thought Nagini was his 6th Horcrux (as he didn't know about Harry's), so he thought he attained his goal to have 6 Hocruxes, in order to split his soul 6 times, into 7 pieces : he thought his pieces of soul were up to the most powerful magical number. However, he was mistaken BECAUSE "Harry was the 7th Horcrux he never intended to make", and he never intended to do so because making Harry a 7th Horcrux would bring his total pieces of soul up to 8. And that, to me, is very significant in the outcome of the story, because although Voldemort made 7 Horcruxes, his soul was split into 8 pieces, which I think is a symbolical / magical explanation of his defeat (one among many others), as the most powerful number was not in his favor, although he thought it was. As for Quirrell, he was only a "temporary" Horcrux, which took the place of a 7th Horcrux (as Nagini still wasn't a Horcrux) only temporarily, although Voldemort thought he was a 6th one (as he didn't know about Harry's) - and that is, if Voldemort was himself aware he had made a Horcrux when sharing Quirrell's body. In any case, the fact that he later turned Nagini into a 6th (but in reality 7th) Horcrux points out that he did not consider Quirrell as a "valid" / still valid Horcrux !
Rita Skeeter was an unregistered animagus, in addition to Prongs, Padfoot and Wormtail. That was how Hermione was able to get her to write Harry's true story for the Quibbler.
I don't know if anyone has said it, but in the UK and some countries their is a 7th year in secondary school after reception. It can be of students choice to finish the final year 13th for stage 5 in education. It's a common thing. Although amazing how seven is showable in the series wow.
There are also 7 Potters Harry James Potter, Ginny Potter(Weasley), Lily Potter(Evans), James Potter, James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter and Lily Luna Potter
I think voldemort wanted his soul in 7 pieces, including himself, he always has around *7* horcruxes until about the 6th book, where the hunt for horcruxes began
Exactly! However, he never had seven Horcruxes at the same time. He had five when he fell while trying to kill Harry (diadem, cup, diary, locket, ring), then six when Harry was made an accidental Horcrux, then had five when Harry destroyed the diary, then 6 when me made Nagini a Horcrux and then 5 when Dumbledore destroyed the ring. After this, the hunt begun officially
Hey movie flame, congrats on 1 mil! In my mind when i first met your channel you deserved 2 mil! I first saw your channel when you had around 800 thousand subs. Congrats!
I have never read the books (although I'm thinking of it), and I've only watched the movies once - when they came out. I do watch SuperCarlinBrothers and your videos on HP though, as I'm still a fan of the universe). Before watching the videos, I can only think of three things; Number of years HP was in school, Weasley children, the number of books, and the amount of Horcruxes
Harry also faced Voldemort 7 times 1. When he was one year old and his parents died 2. In the Sorcerer’s Stone with Quirell 3. In the Chamber of Secrets (He met Tom Riddle but Tom Riddle = Voldemort) 4. In the Goblet of Fire when Voldemort gets his body back 5. In the Half Blood Prince in The Department of Mysteries 6. In the battle of 7 Harrys 7. In the battle of Hogwarts
