If the baby daddy can provide better for the kid, give him custody for now as you stabilize. No need to include your baby in your struggles when the man you had the child with is willing to take responsibility. Already it seems like the child has to either have the daddy or the mommy, which is not any ideal for healthy growth and development

I wonder whether any one of us, Lynn royalists, realise that her shows are actually therapeutic in their own right. Each show heals many people, even as many never realise the power of talk therapy. In a counselling course, we are trained that allowing a client to vent even the entire one hour session in itself is healing. Healing starts from opening up and sharing. Maybe to help us reflect as we process this show content, please remember that yesterday does not define your future, but the decisions and choices you make on the here-and-now(today) has a direct impact on the life you intend to live tomorrow. Choose wisely, guys. Lynn, may you forever reap big as the blessings of your good work galore from the world over. It's His grace all the way for you, our Kenyan queen of 💕

"He was not the perfect guy but he was the present Dad..." Powerful statement of fact. Thanks for the guest Lynn. Guys, are you listening to these snippets of wisdom relayed so authoritatively by a beautiful daughter on Lynn's show? What are you learning this morning about purpose? What is your experience in your life journey? Who brought you up and what challenges did you face while growing up? Guys, this is the "LOVE SILK" , Real life story told from a daughter on her memoirs with a Dad that never was, but a father that chose to be there for them. He was a great father. Can you relate your story with Deborah's and take a moment to process it?? Not all fathers are absent by choice and not all fathers are bad guys. Each one of us is an individual. Never judge a person by the circumstances they place you on but take time to figure out why. We have children that can go through stuff. We have children brought up by a single mother/father that often find themselves in awkward situations(entangled in between the two parents) and many atimes they end up condemning either of them. This episodes speaks to hope for such children that the future is not defined by the ugly scenes that you witness during child development years.Stay focused to your destiny like Deborah did. This also demonstrates that one can thrive regardless of the challenges they faced as children. Lastly, the father that is there for you is better than the blood-father that never was. Never take a lot of time to look for a mother and or a father that was never there in the first place. When above 18yrs, please strive to enhance your mental wellness than worrying about people that might not help you shape your destiny. The life you are going to live is all about your own peace and mental wellness. I encourage those who are still broken from their past experience to find closure in such kind of wisdom as this, then move on. Not easy, but doable.

Thank you Lynn for this conversation, wishing this lady healing and God’s grace. I found out on Facebook my biological father died. This man never acknowledged me since birth. He went on to have another family and they never knew of my existence when he was alive. This man I found out denied of my existence even on his death bed. I hated that I grieved for him and now his adult children want a relationship with me.I understood at a young age that God is my father and truly He has blessed me in every way.

How i wish my dad was present for me,i call him sometimes he picks up my calls sometimes he does not but somehow i just crave for his love. My mom says chances of her getting married to my dad were 0% because he is Kalenjin( Nandi) and my mom is Tanzanian so dad had to get married to a woman from his tribe and he got two children with her. But now after growing up somehow i just wish i also had his love. Atleast he picks up my calls sometimes, i had to move to Tanzania with my mom but i still wish to see him someday. Every parent holds a very special place in their child's life. And these traumas are hard to heal it's only by God's grace we keep going.

My father made so many sacrifices for us 5 children to have a chance at life, he taught me honesty, self respect, honour, hard work, discipline, pride and having dignity. Private schools were paid even though he was teacher…Uni was paid, he was home by 5pm & through the weekends, visiting our schools weekly, It was not always rosy but I choose to pick the best of what he gave, long live dad, I never knew people slept hungry till my 30’s .. as a mother I wanted my girls to have that father daughter bond in Co-operating against all odds.

True Deb .A biological father can reject his biological children. The one that steps in to be a functional father is the real dad. Fathers, please know that when you reject your children, it hurts forever and it cannot be undone. A void is left in their lives. I salute your father for honouring his decision to love you even though he knew you were not his child.

One thing I know is I would never leave my child. I've only been away from her for 4 days in her 14 years of life and it was torture. I left her dad, who was an alcoholic and didn't look back, not even for financial support. Never leave your kids with a man who's irresponsible, he may not survive the experience or turn out as well as the guest 😢.

This is very very deep. PARENTS who are absent in the childhood years become disconnected to their children emotionally and psychologically. When death occurs you can view the body and feel absolutely nothing. No emotions.

I married my ex with one kid na alikuwa amemkana for almost 2 years ati hana mtoto. I decided to keep the marriage after realising she lied to me. I left for abroad and left her in my rental house, but she started cheating and wasting my hard earned money with multiple men and making them sleep in my house. We got our son together but she put those little kids through hell, drinking alcohol and bringing men in the house and not feeding the kids. I suspected something fishy and returned unannounced and caught them red-handed. I took both kids without discrimination and am raising them equally and they are the happiest kids in the whole world now. Am believing i will get a mature lady who have self value and honour tujenge boma. I still believe that good respectable ladies exists and that's why I couldn't do something stupid after realising that I have wasted four years of my life feeding good women i know you are still available

Ho. .soaking in people's pain. I stopped doing counselling and medical practice because of living with the emotional pain. Medical people should actually seek therapy. I had to be my own therapist...luckily I had equipped myself via taking courses and reading pyschology books
