Okay, a few have said this so I guess I read it wrong but I thought she wouldn't let me do anything until I gave her the push. Regardless you'll want the next engineer but I did seemingly get that wrong.
Yup. Only noticed that AFTER I visited Domino, AFTER getting 7 Push, (as in, by the time I guessed that I had enough, I had 7) I didn't need them to unlock her. unlike Ship engineers.
DOMINO GREEN REFERRAL REQUIREMENTS - Provide 5 doses of Push. HOW TO DISCOVER - Common knowledge. UNLOCK REQUIREMENTS - Travel at least 100 light years in shuttles.
There is actually a way easier way to find these smuggler hideouts. Go to a terminal at a station's concourse, open the mission board, select the procurement tab, and look for missions called Larceny: seize the from a hidden cache. These missions will point you right at the POI in question. It'll always be the 3 shipping containers + SRV version of the POI, and it'll always be devoid of enemies. The missions also remove the need for a DSS as the POI will automatically pop up in the navigation panel as soon as the target planet is close enough.
I figured out that you pretty much do not need srv at all. Just a small ship. I'm starting to engineer a viper mk4 just for surface materials - all hardpoints with missiles, strong shield, hull and some fsd boosting. You can literally park the ship a meter away from the containers and do everything you want. Even if you logout for some reason, while landed, the npcs will have hard time chewing through your ship, a lot of time for you to take off and clear them out.
Found like 15 Push or more (got 18 now but not sure if I had any at the start) at a Crash Site [Threat: 1] on Ammatis A 5. Crashed 'conda with a bunch of containers lying around as well as intact cargo racks you can cut open the restraint for 3x3 engineering mats per side (has 2). My tip with the latter: Cut open one and collect with SRV before doing the other side as when I was cutting both and tried getting them all with my SRV there were only 3 left. Rest despawned. Generally when on surface POIs be careful with entering/exiting your SRV/ship. For instance I had killed a dozen of enemies using my SRV but when I exited the buggy all corpses despawned.
Thanks for sharing, that sounds like a great one - I'll go check it out very shortly. I'm guessing over the coming weeks and months we'll be finding a lot of better ways to do things so don't worry, I'll be keeping my content updated as we learn them.
@@Exigeous I was actually trying to go over all crash sites and impact site as well as distress beacons, figuring out which threat level spawns what but that kinda fell by the wayside when I stumbled over that 'conda. On the night-side no less so it was pitch-black and has a foreboding feel to it. I did check, A 5 is not tidally locked, thank god, so it should be nicer during daytime.
@@Exigeous Doesn't let me edit the post for some reason so I write it here: Upon nearing the wreck a vulture dropped 5 or 6 lvl 0 or 1 enemies ontop of me. SRV made short work of them. They did not spawn again for about an hour or so of my stay. I entered and exited both ship and SRV multiple times during my stay. Figured that might be of note.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you need push to unlock her, but you need push to unlock the next engineer that she will introduce you to (in exchange for said push). So once you travel 100LY with Apex you can just go to her and upgrade your stuff.
If you haven't seen someone using a Flak Cannon as an aerial bombardment weapon I recommend you check that out. It's a very effective air to ground anti-personnel option and gives you far more capacity than a missile battery :)
Next up - how to find Grade 2 and Grade 3 suits and weapons - in short, go to a empty part of the bubble and start going station to station. There is only 1 in each station, no clue when they respawn but if someone gets there before you they get it.
I remember that when I first started playing the "full release", there was conveniently on in the station I was currently in. A G3 Dominator Suit with Max Ammo mod pre-installed.
I have found as many as 3 suits and 3 weapons in each station. Not all level 3. Maybe 2 level 2,s and a level 3 suit, and multiple weapons. Sometimes when you purchase one it is still there to be purchased again. Multiples of it. I believe it’s random but I was told they do respawn over time. Possibly days.
Surface ports seem to have a better chance at giving 2s and 3s. Could just be because they are less frequented but I've spent a couple hours and have a Dominator and Artemis L3, Maverick L2 with night vision, a laser rifle L3 and various L2 weapons. The laser rifle has improved reload speed which makes the gun feel MUCH better. I've also seen more than 3 suits and weapons at plenty of stations.
Do you know if there's a way to remove the engineer modifications because sometimes I want to buy a G2/3 suit or weapon but I do not want the modification it has. There doesn't seem to be an option to do it at the engineer.
I've been finding the irregular markers and crash sites on the planets in the Eagle Nebula, do not have any defence troops. It's probably the same in any remote spots with a small population in a nearby system.
For anyone that wants to avoid the combat and just focus on gathering the stuff: if you scan planet A (right next to the planet in this vid) it has a crash site [threat 1] that has a crate with the same mats, as well as maintenance panel with some electronics. Just kill the guys that drop the first time and constantly keep logging out and in there for the mats
@@Nzchimeran me and all of my friends have been farming the same site. its in the same place for everyone regardless of game mode. Not only that, but occasionally random cmdrs show up there in open play.
Hey...planet JIMAN 3 A also works out pretty good too. There are multiple "Irregular Markers Threat 2" sites. Same 3 container boxes as in the Threat 3 sites. No NPC's spawned when I was here. I was able to get 5 PUSH in about 45 seconds.
You don't even need an SRV if you bring a single dumbfire missile rack with you (class 1 works fine). Or, if you don't even want to bring that, just squish them with your ship. The scavs are easy pickins.
Logging in and logging out now replaces location of irregular markers, impact sites, active energy sourches, distress signals whatever you discovered. Make sure loot eveything and board your ship. Then lock your target Fly away about 30 KM further and get back. No hostile troops or npcs will be here just reneval containers loots and previously emergency mag lock foils will be there. One More Tip: İf you dont want to fight hostile NPCs , just simply crush them with your ship. Not SRV. they dont react.
I want to take my SRV but worried my game will crash that the game struggled to spawn my CMDR. Even worse that I had to go to Horizons to get myself off that loading screen hell. Only to find my ship is not beside me and cannot recall it that I had to destroy my SRV for the first time playing ED. Then I log back in to Odyssey. When you say troops do we have to be prepare for wave two? Is the other engineers unlocked or have to wait on FDev for update?
Now that leaves something where I can farm Chemicals (materials) in general. 'cause I thought that the Range mod on the Manticore Executioner (DMR) would increase it's projectile speed as well. However, one chemical that was required, was Chemical superbase. It can be traded with the Bartenders, but I don't have a single chemical.
Hi. If I am not wrong after update 6 relogging to main menu does not work anymore right? We have to log out to desktop correct? I just upgraded to Odyssey so wanted to confirm. 🙂 Can somebody confirm the same is true to impact sites as well??
There is also a data port on the back of the crashed drone that has some interesting stuff, and the cargo racks you can cut open contain mineral materials (chromium, etc.) but you have to drive your SRV into them to collect with the cargo scoop and this crashed my game (surprise surprise) EDIT: I also found an alternative layout with 3 cargo containers and a crashed SRV. Sadly the terrain blocked one of the container's hatch so I couldn't cut it open. No data port on the SRV as well, so you gain cargo but lose data on this version.
So far I get this same crash if picking up the items with the SRV would fill me past max. Ex: 148/150 and picking one up would give me 3. Crashes every time and I lose the items upon relog.
hi, i have a probelm, i dont know why or how, but after all of the ''push'' thingie, when i got to Domino Green's city, i cant do anything with her because it says im her enemy.. so, what do i do. I've been playing for a month or so, and i dont know what to do, or if i can do some mission to get better reputation u.u'
Seems you cant get it from the same place anymore. It moves around. Went to Jiman, none there. Spent an hour or 2 jumping to systems tonight, no luck yet.
I pulled something daft like 14 push from a single Threat 1 Irregular Marker on Grey in the Orrere system, and I have no idea what to do with the ones I have left after given Domino what she wanted.
Log in log out is terrible trash. However this is one good video u made, I don't like all as they are pseudo short and hard to understand, but this one is well done.
I'm pretty sure that's wrong - she wouldn't let me engineer anything until I gave her the Push. I could be wrong but regardless you'll want the next engineer anyway.
if anyone is looking for Grade 3 suits and weapons, i saw some at Hutton Orbital. It looks like Hutton Orbital is for odessy gear same as Jameson Memorial is for ships and equipment.
Im planning to buy odyssey in a few months after some patches and fixes and so on. But seeing that they didnt change anything about the grind really just makes me sad, and i wish i could not care about this game anymore.
Well, i have a Picture in my Mind. We are all in a Roman Arena, the rostrums are full of People and there is Imperator David Braben with Ceasars Crown on his Head and say: LET THE GRIND BEGIN!!!!! RELEASE THE BUGS!!!!! ........and sorry for the FPS Drops! Many thanks for this Video!! EDIT: These Troops shoot down my A Rated + Capacity Engineered HULL, SHIELDS Cobra with 2 Salvos!
Now I understand yamiks video... I can't even ... FD really considers travelling 100 ly without playing "gameplay" ... I just can't even... and then people complain about cryptocurrency polluting.... what about apex interstellar?!?
Oh no! We have to take ONE ride with Apex Interstellar! That's the only gameplay available and It's just like Dogecoin(?)! Typical Yamiks brown-noser lol, what a mess xD
@@PowerofRock24 no it is not the only thing available ... but seriously... why would you force your players not to play? And I'm fine using electricity to play, but you know, to watch the computer play? At least most f2p games with inactivity timer have the decency to let you close the game. FD always manages to get the worst aspect of f2p and make them even worse for 40$. And then there are stockholm syndrom eplayers like you defending them ... I can't even...
@@esoel Literally NO ONE is forcing you "to not play". You understand that Apex Interstellar is a completely optional side feature in a game the size of the literal galaxy, right? You can skip it entirely, other than the single 100LY ride you need to take to unlock one engineer. I am glad Apex is a thing. It's a great addition and allows me to make dinner while I shuttle to the next location and don't have time to play. I would rather be a "stockholm syndrom eplayers" than a stupid moron drama queen that has his nose deep inside the asshole of some whiny RU-vidr lol, do you even haave one independent opinion? Don't answer that lol I will defend Frontier when they do something right. Apex is a bloody useful feature, and I am glad they included it. But I also call them out when they mess up, like the unplayable state of Odyssey at launch.
@@PowerofRock24 It's funny that you call people whiny when your identity is so wrapped up in a videogame that if people criticise it you feel the need to insult them. If you think requiring players to watch their computer play for them to complete a mission is good game design, then I'm happy for you, you probably found the only game designers that agree with you.
@@esoel Do you struggle reading English, or are you stupid or something? You're not one of those special needs kids, right? I literally called Odyssey an unplayable mess lol, and no. Apex only provides shuttle support. They don't actually complete the mission for you. And it is good game design. It's like the Flight Paths from World of Warcraft. Travel takes up the most time in Elite. It's nice to have an alternative, especially for people that can't play for more than a few hours a day.
Oh but it is SO amazing to play it that way - trust me, I might have thought that too but I get both smooth analog input and far more inputs given I have 4 4-way hats plus about 8 more buttons, far more than I'd reach/get on my keyboard. I'm telling ya, try it and you'll love it. Oh, and just to be clear it's my _left_ joystick as I still very much use the mouse for headlook.
