The sun was finally out again after days of rain! I think I picked over the last few goodies from that big shell pile I've been visiting over the last few episodes, but I also found a few great shells from the deeper rock pools as well! I really like my little mystery cowrie: sub-adult deer or cherry? I'll let you decide!
Let me know which ones were your favourites ;D and if you enjoyed this and want to see more shell finding videos, I'd appreciate a like or a comment. I read all of them and try to reply when I can. You have no idea how much of a smile you guys put on my face. Thanks everyone!

I didn't even realise that Point Cartwright and the surrounding beaches had such lovely seashells until I saw "Shellcade Shelling Down Under" - I admire him a lot; he's a wonderful local shell! You can check out his amazing shelling videos here:

Hello Maddie! 👋🏻 The chunky sundial was my favorite! Isn’t it funny how different your finds can be according to the time of year? 🤷‍♀️ Love the limpets! 🌋 That little black and white one was really cool! You have so many different types. That bivalve kind of reminded me of my “lumpy bumpy” shells. So pretty. 💗 Thank you for the wonderful video! It’s so beautiful just looking at your beach! 🏝️ Hope you have a great week! 🥰🥰🥰

G’day Pam 👋🏻💖 Oooh yes,the big sundial was a spectacular one today (though I still liked the black/white sundial from last time much more 🤣). I was thinking about my seasonal shells lately, but I wasn’t sure if I was finding new ones because of the time of the year, or because I never really checked the wrack line and shell piles for months after I first started shelling 🤔 only time will tell? Oooh yes, that black/white limpet is lovely; I dare say that it’s a slightly different species of keyhole limpet than usual, but I had no hope of finding the correct name for it (I did try though) 😅! Hehe, someone also mentioned the Imperial Venus clams AKA lumpy bumpy shells for that bivalve too 🤣 Thank you for coming along with me to enjoy the beach once again: I’ll be taking you to a different beach next time, so look forward to it! Wish me luck today as well 🥰

Hi Maddie, Loved all the corals. The Lace, long white one and tiny branch type. So delicate but they make the rough waves to the beach. The limpet with black stripes unusual. Great video. Thank you and keep safe out there. XXOO TRUDY

G’day Trudy 👋🏻💖 I’ve been so lucky with the corals lately… almost none until the recent summer rain/storms and then BAM it’s washing up like crazy! It usually so rare for me to find, or maybe that’s just during the colder months? I gotta keep picking it up when I see it! Oh, you know, I really liked that black and white Keyhole Limpet as well! I’m not sure if it’s actually a different species of keyhole limpet than what I usually find… I dare say that it is different, but I couldn’t find an ID. The contrast on this shell is quite nice indeed! Thank you so much for watching; wish me luck out there today 🥰

Hey Maddie! I’m a barnacle fan. Love the pink one today. Ours on the pacific coast are white. And you picked up one a while back that was four together. Great finds.

G’day Mary 👋🏻🐚 Ooh, another barnacle fan; I’ll have to be sure to pick up more when I see them 🤩 You’re the second person today to tell me that their barnacles are all white; do you think their species is usually white, or they turn white in the sun? I remember that four barnacle 🤗 wow, that was a while back… I don’t usually find/see clustered piece of barnacles like that, but I really like those ones too! Thank you so much for watching the adventures 🥰

G’day Guadalupe 👋🏻❤️ Maybe the small ones could be turned into earrings!! They really are cool shells, I can’t believe how interesting and slightly different they all look 🤩 Oooh you liked my little mystery cowrie too?? Awesome, I got told that it’s definitely a Spotted Deer Cowrie; just a bit too young to have grown the spots. Once again, thank you so much for watching the adventure today 🥰

The limpets, sundial, small sanddollars, zebra the dark moon snail, top shell, the white coral was really neat to see. I still cannot pick a favorite because they are all so beautiful. Thank you again for another great shelling video. Have a great day Maddie.

G’day Toni 👋🏻💖 I’m so glad that you liked all the shells, there is a lot of variety, but not too many new ones in this adventure. I still hope you had fun at the beach with me, though 🤗 it’s so hard to pick a favourite, right?! Thank you for always joining me on my outings 🥰

I feel the same way! All the shells are a little different in their own ways; different colours, variety within the species, condition… it makes it so much fun to discover what’s newly washed up at the beach 🤩

Hi Maddie, Love the sandals! The huge moon snail was very exciting. They are small on our beaches. If you want to find bigger ones you have to drive to Florida. I also liked all the cowries. Till the next video!🥰🥰😘

G’day Katherine 👋🏻❤️ Hehe, the sundials? Yesss, I god such a big fella this time 🤩 same with the moon snail as well 🥳 Oh my goodness, would it be a long way for you to dive to Florida? I imagine it would be quite far! You know, there is nothing wrong with small shells; they’re one on my favourite sizes for shells! Thank you so much for watching the adventure 🥰

Hey Maddie ! Good day to ya ! I can't pick a favorite today because they were all great. As you know I love the moon snails but everything was great. I would collect the pink/purple barnacles. They are so pretty. As always I love your video. Stay safe and keep shell. Waiting anxiously for your next video.

G’day Anita 👋🏻🐚 I hope you’re having a wonderful day as well 🤗 The moon snails were lovely today ❤️ I found a few less lovely ones, and they went to the outtakes video on my Facebook Page 🤣 but yes, I was so lucky with them today! Barnacles, yes I will have to start collecting more of them to show everyone, and also figure out a nice way to display them 🤔 Aw thank you so much Anita ❤️ I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the beach trip today 🥰

Hi Maddie The little black and white limpet has to be my favourite. And you could not find any videos on metal detecting because I have no idea 🤷 as to make them.
@SandCoffeeRocks
@SandCoffeeRocks Год назад
G’day Aussie Dirt Digger 👋🏻 Oh my goodness, yes that little black and white limpet was lovely today 🥰 I think it’s probably a different species than the usual keyhole limpets that I find, but I couldn’t ID it specifically 😅 it really is a fantastic mini; it kept is deep black colour even after drying off! Ooooh man, I’d love to see your metal detecting, but I can totally understand; there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to making videos, and there are lots of different ways to go about it that it’s hard to know what would work for you. If you ever did become interested in trying, I’d be happy to share a few tips, either here or Facebook/email. I use my smartphone and laptop to make mine, and no paid programs… the free software does feel a bit clunky though, but it works. I’ve heard you can make videos all on your phone with apps, but I’m not sure when it comes to that. Anyhoo! I’m here if you want to chat about it 🤗

Thanks for the identification of the shell pile contents. 😊 Have you ever gone shelling closer to he Great Barrier Reef?
@SandCoffeeRocks
@SandCoffeeRocks Год назад
G’day Trina 👋🏻❤️ I almost wasn’t sure if I should leave the shell pile ID in the video, I kinda breezed over it a little quickly, which I felt bad about 😣? But I have gotten that question before about what the red and purple things are, so I thought it’s be nice to mention it 🤗 I haven’t gone shelling closer to the Great Barrier Reef, but id like to one day! I would really love to go north to Hervey Bay some day soon (Shellcade has a few videos there, and I so want to go as well) and I’d also maybe like to try Bundaberg one day further into the future as well… though that’s really only the most southern edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Also, there are a few places much further south of me that I’d like to see someday as well! Thank you so much for watching 🥰

Yes if I ever found one as large as you have regardless of the color, I would keep them. Is that a Lady in Waiting Venus Clam? The limpets have got it today.
@SandCoffeeRocks
@SandCoffeeRocks Год назад
G’day Gloria 👋🏻❤️ Hehe, I think this barnacle is on the medium side, they can get a bit larger yet! I did keep it though 🤗 Oh wow, the Lady in Waiting Venus Clams look like my clam! I see that they’re a Florida shell though, so I’m not sure they’d be on my side if the Pacific Ocean as well?? It looks like a close match though! Haha, yeah, the limpets really won as the favourites today 🤣 Thank you so much for watching 🥰

@SandCoffeeRocks
@SandCoffeeRocks Год назад
It really does looks like one, doesn’t it! I think(?) it is a type of Venus clam… I would be surprised if it was closely related to the Imperial Venus (if that isn’t in fact what it is 😉). I wish I had a better way to research and check bivalve IDs for Australian waters 😣 Thanks Cathy 🥰
