@@therealSlick99 100% a flex. I have it and prefer my old way of organizing storage crates. It's also all rusty. and looks terrible. They made it too thin to put 4 and have it look decent.
What I done and works great is using small block foundation and small walls stack your storage and lower small foundation that you stand on and lower it one notch down it makes it a perfect height to easily access each storage crate
I’ve been doing Blackfell runs daily for so long, I don’t really even hold out hopes of getting the metal shelves. They’re just a random furniture formula that eventually everybody gets if they play long enough, and that’s fine. It’s desirable simply because shelving for storage is something useful for everybody. If they added in multiple other shelving types as they should, this would be a non issue. The problem is there’s only one shelving in the entire game currently.
There are so many good looking shelf models ingame already, not sure why they gave us the narrow, rusted one. I wish we could use half of the models ingame already, but then they couldn't sell the skins in the shop, right?
I been lucky and gotten three Metal Shelf formulas. First one was in a box at the back of a red truck that was outside of the Alternate Reality Research Institute. The second one from the Designer's Workstation and the third was from a small crate in Blackfell, just behind the Stadium (teleport area) and the abandoned parking area. So yeah, as all formulas, they can be found anywhere, just have to open everything that one comes across.
@@therealSlick99 Yeah, had some luck there. The first one dropped during the novice season, the other two when I did the second season on normal. The second drop was at the start of the season so managed to sell it for stardust source which helped the game play. What is even harder to find though (for me at least) is one of the two double bed formulas that's in the game too ! :P

Or go into the point store and buy the regular shelf, is what i use its a wooden shelf that you can place a crate on, looks floty with nothing under it.
i love the metal shelf style, i like trying to make my build have that rusted down, apocalyptic style even though its hard cause most of the wallpaper etc are too fancy. I feel like im running around in a "apolocalpytic" world but run into random 5million dollar mansions in perfect condition lol.

I haven't played Nightingale 🙈 and are you talking about the silver crates I'm using? If so, it is in the Memetics Specializations as a lvl 5-15 i think. "Custom Storage Crate". My friend got the roll for it and made me some 🙏🏽
Amazing you found a good trade! I kept my eyes out for vendors in all worlds and only seen 1 for sale and it was for another formula i didn't have 😩 i just want it to help complete all the formulas really, i like my set up 😁
Who ever says you can't access the bottom crates when they're stacked is lying. I put my crates in stacks of 3 and have zero issue accessing any of them. This is useless.
I have had zero luck with that, i demonstrate it in the video 😩 It takes too much wiggling around in crouch to get the option to look in it. Do you have a video of your set up to help? Thanks for watching!
I got mine last season as well, but I don’t recall where specifically other than Blackwell. With it being as rare as it seems to be, I guess I did pretty well getting it as early as I did.

@@therealSlick99 best is to go into flight mode and place it from up and down, as the placement is very minimal, that is for sure! I do use a skin that makes my boxes smaller so it is easier to place. Reason, is what you are saying, had a hard time placing the bigger storage boxes. I hope you manage mate!
@@M4DGremlin i could play around with it but i think I've dialed my set up in pretty good 🤞🏽 curious, what skin do you have that makes them smaller!? oh and i remember another issue i had with the floating shelves, it's all free placing, no snapping and it's really hard to get them all perfectly lined up. I at least have lines too line mine up with putting the storage on the box, you don't get that placing floating shelves 😩
@@therealSlick99 Hey dude, sorry I first saw the reply now. I have been looking but I cannot seem to find a name for this skin (It makes the storage small size, black with orange handles, and silver around the edges) The best way to place the floating shelves is by placing one (not in flight mode) and walk to the side (A or D) guaranteed straight shelves. I hope this helped some bits mate! 🙏

@@1myy The Carton IV is just a random furniture formula i found during all these loots runs 😩 Theres a bunch of different cardboard boxes to find. If you go to your Field Guide, you can look at the categories of Formulas and which ones you unlocked and how many you have left to unlock as well 🤙🏽
Metal Shelves are definitely overrated. I have it and It takes up more space than when I did my own thing to organize my house. I think I'll try this cardboard box trick. It looks super clean compared to the shelf

Beta players all couldn't get metal shelf then changed tactics and all got it. They swear by following. You're luck goes does for finding formulas when you're using a bunch so stock up and dismantle n reroll at same time. Large bins and long tables will be more likely to hold the larger items while cabinets n drawers smaller paintings and lights, etc. Loot creates are less often but can drop anything. You're chances of getting metal shelf will go down if you're pulling a bunch of paintings etc so they begab to skip all drawers and tables and just go for bins, long tables, loot creates. Idk about all that. There's obviously a luck system of what is drawn when with big trees and fishing etc especially when you see the fish floating and how one will then approach so there's probably something to it. Best you can do is reroll. Get the neon signs and models every season and use the points as most get some good greens, blues and epics out of it. My best forms were from the table.
EL onky has a perceived value for first four weeks then dimishes as its worthless acceot the 400k by week 6. If you want racking raise 1 mil super quick, offer someone with a spare 800k, get it and don't worry. Do this asap in new season. The EL is dumb to hoard so use it to get the best of what you want beforw it has no value.
😲 I didnt know that about the Bins/Tables vs Cabs/Drawers! Thats wild tho, devs seem pretty stingy on probabilities in this game when it comes to chance. Its a grind!
@@therealSlick99 pay attention to where you got blue and larger items from and see if it correlates. Has for me for the most part. Also if the area doesn't have a sinliar type item then you probably won't get it from there. Belivers colony has given me desktop pc twice probably because they have a desktop pc.
Got metal shelf this morning proving again that best gear will be from bench. Swapped it for mushrooms, deviated wheat, morels, mushrooms n some fertilizer. Meh now I don't need to worry bout that.
@@EarJuicei blast through these runs without ever paying attention to what formula came from what storage, but i will be now 🤦🏽♂️ and that's an interesting observation with the whole PC thing in the settlement so it has a better chance of having a pc formula.. There was a place in the map that i came across that had these same metal shelves partly buried in the ground as decor. Wish i remembered where that was, maybe it has a better chance to roll in that area 😩
I have 1,4 k hours play alot on differnt acc and alts and i never encounter it runing blackfell few times day and on my serv 2 things stand out pistol crit crit calibration and the shelf now days it´s joke asking price is around 1-5 milj EL and its not even close to bis and people hording them not realising the game have lost 1/4 of the active player base 40-70k online yesterday i heard from frends pvp serv and bugs and exploits and alt account seem to bother people the most they need live admins some people building in the poi in air under ground the list is long on all worlds pw is a joke goes down to fast if you´r solo player you need to build their ore camp their HC serv is a joke sure is a bit harder to solo but still posible they can´t make us gods and think raising the bar for content few % is gonna shange any thing hc for me easyer then novice and normal serv was then you had not 4+ key gear armors and wep like now and stacking buffs making you unkillable i fear for this game when it comes to future pve map is gonna bring a few back but what about the mobile and normal and alt accounts and if people wonder why it lags so much it´s ebcuse this is whats people are doing to exploit having 2-4 alts on same serv i only have 2 but i know some people have 5+ alts on same serv online at same time and tryed it its not hard and then you can get a sec chans on every thing cd don´t mather and now when more and more people start to know this all is gonna try to pull this of mobile accounts are gonna be the end with only lag and exploits.
Damn 1.4k hrs is savage and i agree, people abusing exploits and alts is becoming more of a thing but seems like so much more work having even 1 alt account let alone 5. That's commitment lol PW's can def be easy with a good army but can also be hard worth not enough. We've lost a handful, with a weak army of more shooters and less missiles for the shield, doesnt take long to lose that Restrainer but i feel you on the loss of players and wonder how this game is going to continue to thrive
