Charity grew up as a sixth generation Mormon. But driven by a heartfelt conviction that truth was
the solid foundation of faith, she dared to question her most cherished beliefs in a desperate search for answers. And though accepting Him would ultimately mean leaving behind everything she had ever known, Charity found at last, in the midst of her brokenness, the only One in whom she could find truth and ultimate meaning - Jesus Christ.
If you are a member of the LDS church and have come across this video, please know that with all sincerity, and out of deep care and concern for you, this testimony was filmed and produced with
the desire to help viewers seek and find truth and salvation through faith in Christ alone. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV.

After actually living the Gospel, as found in the standard works, and ceasing to listen to broken and corrupt church leaders, I discovered the truth for myself. The truth led me out of the church. Guess what! There really is such a thing as the Holy Spirit. It will lead you to Christ and the Father.

I give THANKS to our Gracious and Loving LORD that I have been delivered from Mormonism and found truth and life in the Word of God. Sadly, I still bear deep scars from Mormonism. The Mormon cultural influence that one is never "worthy" enough, one has never done enough works, that one dosen't deserve blessings yet, still haunt me. I have spent years in therapy, counseling with pastors and with psychologists. I still don't feel that I have a right to the many blessings God has given to me, that I don't merit grace. I am still praying and studying the Word, striving to get rid of Mormon induced guilt.

It’s so cool to see that the strong will God created her with as a child was what He later used to help her pursue truth on her own when she was told to not ask questions. God is so good and faithful! 🙌🏼

I love your handle. I am guessing that this scripture had an impact on you? Ephesians 2.8,9 Awakened me when l was a young Mormon girl of maybe 13? It did later pull me right out of the faith as an adult , and to the true Biblical Jesus Christ. ❤ I did not realise that the lds Church had a false gospel and false gods untill l fid some serious study and prayer. I praise the Lord for saving me. I would love to hear your story. Bless you in Jesus holy name.✝️🕊❤️‍🔥🙏

After lifelong study I know for myself that the Gospel is true. This was through my own questioning period. The Church does not teach to not ask questions, but some individual members may wrongly say to not ask questions.

The Gospel as taught in the Bible and confirmed through the early church in the Nicene Creed (below) is true. The LDS church teaches a different doctrine not found in the Bible. We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead; Whose kingdom shall have no end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And we believe in one holy catholic (universal) and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

@@Revolution_Films The idea of the Trinity came up long after the Bible was put together.
@Revolution_Films
@Revolution_Films 6 месяцев назад
That is a false claim. The concept of the Trinity is clearly taught all through the Bible, in both the old and new testaments. The early church fathers who wrote the Nicaean Creed did not make up the Trinity. They were establishing in written form, what the church had always believed, to combat the Arian heresy that had risen up that claimed that Jesus was not God and was a created being. They were simply making it clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that the church already believed that Jesus is eternally existent as God, one of the three persons of the Trinity. This is an excellent video explaining the Trinity, showing the scriptures that prove it, and also answering many of the most commonly asked questions or claims trying to refute it. ru-vid.comp0cLKtR5kfE?si=YrLZwKn97pA8OZS0

@@Revolution_Films So you're fine with all the periods of time where the early Church after the Nicene Crede persecuted people who questioned them?

Praise the Lord for this testimony. I can relate to Charity's desire to find the answers for herself and not be spoonfed. I'm curious how her relationship is with her extended family.... Only asking because my love for Jesus seems to be causing fractures in all of my extended family relationships.
@Revolution_Films

We are so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with your family relationships because of your faith in Christ! We talked to Charity to see what she would say in response. She said that it is very difficult. Her family was very upset when she chose to walk away from the LDS church, and it definitely fractured the family. She has been a Christian now for over 20 years and most of her siblings have since left the LDS church as well, although unfortunately they are not walking with the Lord at all. She still has a broken relationship with most of them because they don't agree with her following Christ. She said the church body of Christ has become her extended family and she finds support there, but it is still hard. Ultimately, she knows that following Jesus is still worth it, and is thankful for her relationship with Jesus. While our trials don't feel light and momentary at the time, we can take hope in the promises God gives us for the future. "For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

“I can’t be the perfect mom & wife. “Good, then be broken and let Me work through you.”” This is what lead me to start questioning the LDS faith that and reading some comments about how Mormons try to work their way to heaven. I started to analyze if that was accurate and yes it is. I absolutely love the concept of grace in its full form. The thing I struggle with now is rectifying all of the crummy things in the Bible too. Lots in the Old Testament that doesn’t speak to a loving God like the NT does. I feel skeptical of all scriptures now. I’ve found comfort in Brian McLaren’s writings. Overall I am forming a foundation of a 100% loving God who wants us to grow vs a heaven and hell narrative. Taking that weight off of my shoulders has helped me to grow without feeling the burden of fear. It has allowed me to be more loving both to myself and others

Glad to hear her relationship with God has deepened. Do you think God wants all people to exit the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?
@Revolution_Films
@Revolution_Films 6 месяцев назад
We believe God wants all people to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth that He is God and there is no other, and he is the only way to salvation. (1 Tim 2:4, Isaiah 45:22, John 14:6). The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ has eternally existed as one person of the triune God and all things were created through him and for him (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 45:21-22, Matthew 28:19, Colossians 1:16-20). All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and there are none who are righteous (Romans 3:10 & 23), we do things deserving of punishment from a holy God every day, and the wages of that sin is death (Romans 6:23). Because He loves us, Jesus bore the punishment for our sins on himself, paying the penalty that we deserve, inviting us into relationship with God, and giving us eternal life if we trust in Him. (John 3:36, Romans 5:8-9, 2 Corinthians 5:21) There is only one way to be saved and that is through grace alone through faith in Christ alone, not by any works we can do. There is nothing anyone can do to earn salvation. All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9) The LDS church teaches a different Jesus and a different gospel, and we want everyone to know the truth of Christ and find salvation in Him. (2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 12-15)

@@Revolution_Films Not offended, but the short answer to my question appears to be yes. Would the same go for Catholics & Orthodox?
@Revolution_Films
@Revolution_Films 6 месяцев назад
That's a good question, with a much more nuanced answer. In short, not necessarily. It boils down to what the church teaches about who Jesus is and how people obtain salvation. If the church strays from the teaching of the Bible, and teaches concepts contrary to what is taught in the Bible, then yes, that would be cause to leave the church. Generally speaking Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox all hold to the same basic salvation dependent beliefs as laid out in the Nicaean Creed. All three groups believe and teach from the Bible as the authoritative Word of God. We do hold that there are some differences in interpretation of some parts of scripture, and differences in how faith and worship services are practiced, and there are some things that, as Protestants, we think are unbiblical, however most of those differences are not salvation issues. That being said, we believe that we have many brothers and sisters in Christ in both of those groups who do have a genuine faith and trust in Christ.

@@Revolution_Films Thanks for sharing. When it comes to salvation, in your view, is there anything more important than doctrinal purity?

I’ve never been a Mormon or a Jehovah Witness. I was a Presbyterian for years serving as a Stephens Minister at First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It had nothing to do with warring with the Lions of Judah. No, I was just a plain vanilla Christian covered by the blood until Eddie and I broke up. The problems began when I married him.
