Findster DUO+ GPS Tracker Review! 

I just found out Findster GPS Trackers are no longer for sale. They are now a company called Maven and will be selling a different product.

Awesome review. When I was a young parent about 28 years ago, I wished we had a way to track our children. When they are two or three, they escape from time to time. I had the idea of attaching a transmitter and tracking them with a handheld direction finding antenna like tracking wild animals in the wild. This is so much more practical. :-)

Thanks Jen. I really appreciate real reviews about useful products that the reviewers have actually used and haven't been paid to push. On a side note Shawn James is also doing a mushroom log farm (on a really big scale) - I will be interested seeing on how well your mushroom logs do vs his.

I have the FD+ as well....and for all the same reasons. Fantastic review, all your pros and cons are spot on. I wish the guardian fob could store data and not require your cell phone app to be on. Additionally only one person can be connected at one time. Still the best affordable non cell tower based system available.

Thank you for this. I once had a dog who always bolted out and ran away- locally, but I was so upset not knowing where he was...my current dog is never off lead now in the woods...new dog, and he is not a runner😊 But this will make me worry much less. 🐾🐾💕🥾🥾

He comes back when called but sometimes takes his sweet time and i panic if he’s safe etc. Fencing isn’t realistic so this will be so helpful and reassuring to know how far he is from me. I just stumbled across your vlog today @thewildyam and came across this video. It seems from his appearance and coat, Royce is a brindle Bouvier. I’m a Bouv Mom too. If you see this post, I would love to know how “rugged” the Findster is. Bouv’s are very active, rough and tumble dogs. Is the Findster really durable?

Hello, I just found you channel. I have a large Alabai and living in the UAE. Unfortunately none of the main stream trackers work in my region. This product looked perfect, however I see that it isnt on sale anymore. Any ideas for a solution?

Is Findster still in business? I live rural outside of any cellphone range but need one for a wandering prone husky.

Unfortunately I just received my "new" Findster and it was USED. Beat up. Doesn't charge, of course. Findster doesn't even respond. What kind of a company is this?

Seems like it's a poor product, especially if you cant connect remotely.

Findster Duo is a shoddily made product that will break after a few uses. DO NOT BUY FINDSTER DUO. If I could give Findster a ‘zero’ review I would. Findster may indeed be waterproof but it is NOT dirt proof or sand proof! And what dog is immune from either? I bought Findster when it first came out and made the mistake of not using it for a couple of years after purchase. When I finally started using the tracker regularly, it was well past the product guarantee period. After some dozen uses, two of three tracking units broke. One was totally inert and the other would charge indefinitely and then the battery would discharge after an hour or so of use. The company said that since the product guarantee period had passed, that it would not replace the defective units. This was despite the units being barely used. Findster also tracks your usage details via the app, so if you don’t want anyone tracking what you do with your leisure time, do not buy Findster. So, in short, do not waste your money buying this badly made tracker. There are better products out there.
