It only takes 1. This is a start and if you don’t think when TV’s contacts begin to show up to these HBCU colleges the climate will change and more and more black talent will want ti attend then schools. Prime has the money and the contacts. I really think he’s in this for the long haul. This year alone JSU was awarded over 1 million dollars in donations.. I went to the JSU vs Alcorn game in Jackson and the stadium was pack my father and I had to stand for the entire game. Just happy to see this and hopefully this will be a turning point. Just think 5-10yrs down the road what could the SWAC conference become….. Also with Travis being a cornerback beside Deion who else could give this young man the Technique and the skill set ready to become a young black professional football player. That’s something money can’t buy. Not only prime is teaching this young black men about the game he’s setting them up to become young professionals in there adult careers…..

I dont understand how this is a good move for the kid. He could get a scholarship to almost any school in the country and he goes to Jackson state?!?!?! If you're going to school for academics, he chose poorly. If he is going to make it in the pros, he is not competing with people that will make him better. And if he is going bc "Primetime" is the best coach for him, Paul said it himself, the Jackson State job is not a good job. Deon will probably leave as soon as he gets a tremendous pay raise to go elsewhere. Ppl say the kid can always transfer, but that's means he chose wrong in the first place and will be playing behind since he will need to learn a new system and school. I just need someone to help me understand why this would be a good choice for the kid and not just a talking headline for ESPN.

Cause he wanted to. That is why it's good for him.

Jerry Rice, Steve McNair, Michael Strahan, Shannon Sharpe, Walter Payton...etc etc. All players from HBCUs. This isn't new, history is just repeating.

It’s a good move for THIS kid because he gets to get coached up by arguable the GREATEST PLAYER TO CORNERBACK EVER!!! The kid is a CORNERBACK/RECEIVER DEION was a CORNERBACK/RECEIVER in the NFL. What other college in the NATION has a coach on staff that matches Deion’s level of accomplishments??? .

@@lgtwork The only thing that I am worried about is IF he goes to the NFL, he could struggle because in today's NFL they dont practice like the players that you just mentioned did when they entered the league. Even today's training camp is a vacation compared to the players in the past.

Is it broken because NIL opportunities compete with big programs under the table booster payments, making it possible for players to attend small programs while having legal access to money generated by their names, images and likenesses?
