@neneshubby it really is. He indirectly legit has made other teams power houses plus all the rev$$ brought in to the schools. He “Makes teams great again” 1 example - Kirby Smart learned from Saban then went to UGA who now are on top. Dan Lanning learned from Kirby and Oregon is a top ranked team again
Brian Daboll - New York Giants Dan Lanning - Oregon Lane Kiffin - Ole Miss Kirby Smart - Georgia Steve Sarkisian - Texas Mike Locksley - Maryland Billy Napier - Florida Mario Cristobal - Miami Jim Mcelwain - Central Michigan Butch Jones - Arkansas State Charles Huff - Marshall Except Dan Lanning, Billy Napier and Brian Daboll (and he left for an NFL OC position) everyone of these guys left Alabama for a head coaching job. That’s a coaching tree. And I didn’t even mention Jeremy Pruitt, who left Alabama to take the Tennessee job because he’s not a current head coach. Anybody who tries to say this is not impressive is just a hater. I suggest you Google the words “Saban’s coaching rehab clinic“ and see how many hits you get.
I have to say that Saban looks 10 years younger without all the stress of an upcoming season on him. Thank you coaches Smart and Saban for all you did for Bama. Roll Tide!
@@andysworld47raided the cabinet 😂 he took one players and the few coaches that went wanted to. He didn’t hold them mfs hostage at gunpoint and it’s not like he was paying them a more of a substantial amount of money so.. 🤷♀️
I just want Saban asking all the questions moving forward. Such intelligent, thoughtful and unique to coaching/recruiting questions that no one else has the pedigree or understanding to ask and insight no one ever could've provided at ESPN or any large network tbh
I’m a Georgia Fan, born and raised… but I also love Bama and what they’ve done over the years. Shout out to UGA & BAMA for running the south and overall all of college football.. couldn’t ask for better neighbors !!!
@@tangofett4065 didn't lose any sleep over it. Preventing something Bama had never done was way more important. I believe Bama has 4 sets of Back to Backs, it's a step. Luckily, there won't be anymore avoiding the best teams for 29 games anymore, lulls one into thinking they're the greatest of all time, till they ain't.
@@andysworld47 lol I was being genuine. That was a special night that I’ll never forget. Us Dawgs fans haven’t had as many opportunities to celebrate as you Bama fans have, so we’re thankful for what we do have.
@@tangofett4065 that’s understandable, had no problem seeing it, was worried bout the 3 peat and what that meant so it made last season probably the biggest win in my lifetime just as 21 was for you guys. When you see a bunch it does change your perspective, I missed being hungry, last season brought it back for me.
@@schneiderwebb2303 ironic, Kirby carved the foundation of that defense lmao. Defense wins games, wonder how many games maybe even how many natties bama would’ve choked if they didn’t have Kirby steering that defense lol be thankful of what you have don’t forget that son
Kirby Smart, who in my opinion has set himself apart from most of the others because he never tried to be Saban 2.0 but Kirby 1.0. Learning from a legend, but not compromising on who you are and as we have all seen he is pretty special.
Kirby bid His time, gained and appreciated coaching experience from the best (Saban) He has earned all the respect He gets as being a great college head coach
@@edwinafamefuna4383apparently Saban has an entire office at the school and will still be there as an advisor, likely till Jesus says his service to Alabama is done.
As a die hard UGA fan, I love Saban. Saban is the epitome of a leader, a professional, a coach, and a man. For some reason I thought Saban didn’t like Kirby, but after seeing this video and hearing from Bama fans, I see now that Saban and Kirby have a teacher and student relationship and Saban don’t feel threatened because he knows Kirby really appreciated Saban’s mentoring and he will always pay homage to Saban. Saban extended his legacy with Kirby.
I believe he made a mistake not staying in the SEC overall. He could've stayed at Alabama or went to Georgia.. he will be in the NFL but not with the college career he could of had in Georgia or Alabama
The last statement that Coach Saban said, about coaching "the rookie that ain't quite there" is more serious now than ever before in college football. Because of the portal. So many kids today have that 'I deserve something" attitude about them and they really need to have some humility or they will get lost or even bury themselves!
As a Georgia fan I am able to sleep peacefully at night knowing Kirby and Georgia beat a Saban coached Alabama in Saban’s last National Championship game
@@kvol1668 nah the committee shut down Georgia’s chances at a 3 peat. Texas had no right getting in over Georgia when their one loss was to a #15 ranked Oklahoma.
I’m a Bama alum, Bama fan, Saban fan. That said, there’s a pretty glaring conflict with Saban working and analyzing for ESPN while simultaneously still being employed by The University of Alabama. I believe he needs to resign from UA and focus on this full time if that’s what he wants to do. Both doesn’t work.
Scotty McKnight had a tremendous career finishing with some of the best stats. In terms of historic importance and NFL legend status? Cliff Branch. Hands down.
This is honestly the weirdest thing to ever see, knowing Saban isn’t a coach and isn’t a coach for one of Georgias biggest threats ever. I mean I remember watching the days of Bama where Kirby was just on the sideline and was in the background while Saban was in the light. And now both of them are in the light and Kirby is now in the light while Saban will start to just slowly back away. I just can’t describe how weird this is especially now that Saban ask him questions about his team.
The Georgia football coach needs to watch more carefully his diet as he has gain a lot of weight the last year or so. He can afford a cook who knows how to cook healthy foods--and, would not add to one's waistline. He is, however, I believe a fine coach as he was taught by the best: Nick Saban.
SEC legend come from School like Bama .....yes that true but it not true......Bama defense has always been elite.....do your research king.....I do understand that you giving a true statement on there former defensive coordinator Kirby.....but before Kirby there defense in the early 90s and 80s top NFL prospects.....still the number one conference.
