Every year for the last ten years I've been auctioning off something I made and donating the funds to charities related to the items being auctioned. This year we're making and selling 'finger' painting sets. Sets of fingers to paint that is. Each finger painting set includes nine assorted cast resin fingers including one original painted by Skyler, 12 paint colors, and a paint brush.
All of the funds raised are going to be donated to the Lucky Fin Project, an organization which hosts events and financially supports efforts for children attend specialized camps, obtain prosthetics, and to fund other organizations within the limb different community.

What are these used for?
It's really up to you. Use them as a fun painting activity. Practice painting fingernails. Put them on your shelf of oddities. Leave them around the office. Put them as a warning near your power tools. Mount them to your wall as a coat hook. Plant them in your garden during Halloween. Plant them and see if a human grows. Really get your hands dirty and paint these fingers. Gift them to your friends. I could go on, but I don't need to point out every idea for you.
Are they real fingers?
Sort of. They're cast in high quality non-toxic polyurethane resin from skin-safe silicone molds. They pick up every detail on the original real fingers they were cast from. Even fingerprints, scars, cuticle details and bitten fingernails.
Whose fingers are these?
I don't really remember everyone who participated but at one point about five years ago I hosted a finger party where friends showed up at my shop and I made silicone molds of their fingers for no planned purpose. I told them the molds would be anonymized anyway so it doesn't really matter. But the fingers belong to friends from Baltimore. I've used the molds since then for various things, but now is the time to get these fingers into the hands of more friends than those of you just at arms length.
