Question of the week: the last things I wanted to get done before Dawntrail was finish all the Bozja field notes, get the guardian angel title from 500 Rezs in Bozja, and ideally beat the Menenius duel to get the commander conqueror title. I got my 500 rezs and my last note to get was Menenius's which I got it from beating him a few days ago, so I am all happy and ready for Dawntrail.

Question of the week: Clearing inventory a little bit, getting viper fully glammed, and getting Fate #999 and #1000 for the title, Temptress of Fate - I just havent decided which FATEs will get the glorious honor.

For the question of the week, I have cleaned... a lot of space. Despite only playing for about 2 years now I was a MASSIVE hoarder, both of my retainers were full, my inventory was constantly capping out, saddle included, and my glam dresser up until a few days ago was maxed out. I now have only half a page or so for both retainers, a mostly clean inventory, empty saddle bag and I'm down 200 glam slots. I had paranoia that I might get rid of something I could use later, but DANG it feels good to be clean. I also got my 80 and 90 gear ready for Pictomancer so I can hop on that as soon as it drops. I dunno HOW I'm going to grind out 80-90 in a reasonable time but... I'll try lol

Not quite ready for Dawntrail, I need to finish the MSQ! I'm at the end of 6.3 right now so i am very very close.

Just wanted to pop by and say grats on the achievables and these videos have become some of my favorite XIV videos to watch. This series is so fun to follow! As for question of the week: I'm on a mad grind to finish MSQ. I'm getting stonewalled by ilvl requirements for the post-EW story dungeons so grinding tomestones has slowed that to a crawl but I'm getting there. Still confident I'll be caught up for early access with some time to spare and do some of the other optional content I've passed over!

Never ready. Capping tomes, inventory cleaning as best possible for all the new mats, may prep challenge log on Tuesday for quick XP grabs on early access day etc etc. For sure on clearing glamour space and discard whatever I can always rebuy from the calamity salvager.

My current goal is to finish up the Shared FATEs for Shadowbringers. I just finished the Endwalker zones yesterday, and I'm working on Tempest FATEs as I type this. After this, it's only Rak'tika! Lahee, indeed. Since apparently the FATEs in Dawntrail will give 20 gemstones, I think the grind for the fun gemstone items (orch rolls, Wivre, wings, etc.) will be much less daunting once I get around to it. Honestly, though, I'm probably gonna hard focus the story of DT for a bit and then deviate to crafting when I feel its inevitable pull again. I hope there'll be another cool crafting storyline like with EW/ShB.

I'm mostly ready for Dawntrail! I have 29 sidequests picked up and ready to hand in on Picto and a full set of cryptlurker for it, working on pre-crafting a bunch of grand company turn-ins at the minute for a quick boost of crafter/gatherer exp at the start of the expac. I also want to prep a Khloe book next week, and prep challenge logs on the last day before maint for more picto exp!

How many levequests have you done?

My major Pre-Dawntrail goals were 1) Get the Blueblazer title(Clear 110 things in the Blue Mage Log), 2) Stock up 2 million cowries from Island Sanctuary to make bank on all the dye people will need, 3) Finish the Shared Fate achievements for Endwalker zones, and 4) Get every Manderville relic fully completed. All of these have been accomplished. Now the only thing I'm doing to bide my time for the next 2 weeks is redecorating my house and figuring out my glamour for Dawntrail. As for actual Dawntrail prep, I'm mostly following Wesk Alber's prep video(seriously it's a good watch) with some extra adjustments so I can get Pictomancer up to at least 90 ASAP. Along with getting every tomestone and scrip currency capped, I think I'm good to go.

I am mostly ready for dawntrail. I did most of my inventory cleaning. My main inventory is only about 30ish out of 140 or whatever inventory max is. I am max retainers at least to start the expac. Probably go back down to 2-4 retainers a couple months down the road. 1 retainer is completely empty to put a bunch of DT crafting materials and intermediates. I made 2-3 of every possible grand company turn in to sell or turn in for dol/doh exp. I stockpiled my entire free company chest filled with exarchic shields for on demand grand company seals. Did most all EW relics including gatherers and crafters. Did all kinds of other stuff. I can’t possibly list it all. Next thing I want to do is get 30 side quests done but not turned in for quick leveling on pictomancer day 1. Then it’s wonderous tails prep and challenge log prep and final inventory check over. Boom. Done. Countless hours of effort for a minor payoff. Woohoo

Two weeks left, and I can hardly wait. Fortunately, my work closes down for the entire July 4th week, so I've got plenty of time to play the new expansion-assuming the servers hold up. I only finished the 6.x patches a few weeks ago, so I'm trying to finish a few things before the EW tomestone gear and relics become purchasable with Poetics. Almost done with my first EW relic, and I'm trying to decide whether to start a second, or just start buying gear with Comedy tomestones. I'll be running the alliance raids a lot for Causality stones anyway, so getting the upgrade mats for the Comedy gear shouldn't be too bad.

As soon as I complete my final manderville relic, I will be focusing on gathering shards and crystals for crafting, and cleaning up retainer bags. That will take the entire week and a half I’ll have to spare, because I am really bad at getting rid of things

The absolute dedication to the craft (pun maybe intended?) by minmaxing allowances right up to the 48h maintenance. Kudos. Dawntrail is my first on-content expansion launch since I joined right after Asphodelos dropped, saving me login headache issues thankfully. My prep is a typical one: capped tomes all around, almost full on other various currencies like GC seals and hunts, we now know bicolor gemstones are staying + the new cap is 1500 so might as well cap those too. My "main" jobs are all BiS and melded, that'll probably get me through until about lvl95 if not a bit more before I *need* upgrades and we have those leather daddy crafted glams to look forward to. Other than that I'm just chilling, playing other games and catching up on my Steam library before I go all-in on the early access weekend, I'm not taking any chances with spoilers so it's complete social media blackout for me until I finish the story.

My pre Dawntrail goals are organizing my inventory, finish the fate step for all my resistance weapons (I have 4 left), and to get my 3k A ranks achievement. It was to get the Big Fish title, but there aren't enough windows for that to be possible. But I did get really close so I'm okay with it. Started from nothing and I have 5 fish between Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker left.

Looking forward to your Dawntrail shenanigans! I had hoped to get my tank relics done (after taking a year off the game) but I don't think I'll be able to farm enough tomestones to due to lack of time. If they turn them to only needing poetics, maybe it'll be quick after the patch. If you don't mind spreadsheeting the fun out of it, the Overseas Casuals discord has plans as to what you should send foraging missions on and what to setup workshops for.

On an island note, my island is maxed out, but I do still use the cabin you got in this stream (via the building glamours), the final one is... cool, but I like this design more. There's a lot to play with once you max out the island and just have OPTIONS to glam the parts of your buildings and landscape, as well as set up outdoor furniture.

I've been trying to speedroll the Endwalker Crafting and Gathering tribals~! I really hope I can at least get real close so it's less that I have to worry about coming back to it during my Dawntrail time x3

Got all my Jobs maxed out, got decent gear for almost all of them. Further prep for me will be getting a few more ilvl 640+ gear items to fill out my kits. Ready and psyched to take my Lala over into the New World!

If you want to fully optimise your leve's for DT, make sure to pick up and complete (BUT NOT TURN IN!) the EW BOT and MIN leve's. Crafting leve exp get's nerfed into the ground upon the next expac launch, Gathering DOES NOT!, so not only will you get 16 leve's towards the 5000 gathering leve achivo, can get a couple of levels straight away on those 2 jobs as well upon DT launch!

I stopped playing several months ago due to burnout. So I have basically bugger all prepared, hah. Might hop on a few days before release and prepare stuff for the big day.

Fulmination really seems to be the lingering PUGkiller of the Eden raids. The thinking with portals one gets a lot of people too but Ramuh has typically wiped any party I've gone into that trial with at least once even all this time later.

I don't like being early. I like coming across your videos after an era has passed and there is no telling how long ago the video was put out. Wild.

Pre DT goals: Clean out the inventory, got a bunch of just random garbage in there I don't need. Clean out the armory chest. For awhile I was just throwing any new glam pieces in there without thinking about how I would use them in glams, leading to a lot of garbage in there. 1100 Mentor Roulettes, at 1048 now.

For the question of the week I finished the main Endwalker questline a day or two ago so I have several jobs to do. 1 finish aether current attuning in all the Endwalker areas (so far I’ve done Labyrinthos and Thavnair) 2 finish the post Endwalker MSQ 3 do regular and alliance raids for Endwalker 4 do the Endwalker Hildibrand quest line 5 this one’s optional get my Monk to lvl 80 (currently 74) and Paladin to 90 (just about to hit 81)

Well. . . I still have to finish the post MSQ for Endwalker. I most certainly prepared for Dawntrail by changing to a Hrothgar! Now if the game allows me to use the clown hat on Hroth, I can make a very sophisticated Hrothgar, especially with the glass slot. Just need to get that few patches worth of content out of my way, soooo. . . Binge time, I'm afraid. Once the expansion does drop, I will level my miner and armorer to 100, so that I may participate in the novice chat once again and answer questions nobody asks. I don't care for the burger king crown, I do however care for the insanity that is the NN at 3am. Edit: Aaaaaaand now I am ready. . . Almost. I should prepare a wondy for whatever class I unlock first for an instant level up. My guess is on viper.

I had a bigger list, but finished much of it. Right now I am just organizing my inventory, selling all my stuff on retainers, getting MNK and WHM to 90, and trying to get upgrade item for my shiny umbrella for BLU

My checklist was - Any last-minute glam items for cool Dawntrail looks (in my case, finishing my Eureka WHM weapon) - Getting food prepped for dungeons and trials - Getting Squadron Battle Manuals for EXP boosts while leveling The last thing I need to do is get my bicolor gemstones maxed to get the flying speed bonuses from all the gemstone traders, plus any cool minions or orchestrion rolls along the way

My plans for before Dawntrail are all done tbh. Inventory Managment - My Armory Chest has my class's gear only, plus Picto and Viper. My Inventory is on under 2 lines. My Saddlebag is almost empty. My retainers are still full though XD Max out all 3 Tomestones - Self Explanatory, I have 2000 Poetics, Causality, and Comedy. Gear for the new classes - Edenmorn, Augmented Cryptlurker, and then Ascension and Augmented Credendum. Not fully finished, but I have the tomes to do so XD Get any classes I'm levelling to the next level - Class EXP is reset to 0 upon a new expansion, so get them to the next level so that you don't waste all the EXP Khloe's Journal - The journal on the 18th should be saved, and then given in on the 28th. Then you can get that week's for a whole level's worth of EXP

I've done most of what I had for goals before the expansion, really the last thing would be the deep dungeons because I've never really messed with PotD much, so the other two are still locked for me. I finally made myself sit down and learn BLU, and I enjoyed it so much I went ahead and learned every spell. Every job is maxed, and I've unlocked every Master Tome for the crafters. I'm still slowly working on the rest of the folklore books, but those will give me something to spend scrips on while I do custom deliveries. My glam dresser was absolutely maxed out, so I already went through and cleared out a couple hundred things I'll never wear. Really, at this point I'm just ready for the expansion. I want new zones to explore and new npcs to talk to. I want more dye channels so I can spend even more hours making sure my glams are Peak Cute. I'm prepared to trail the dawns and dawn every trail!

Current last minute goals is finishing up P11s (currently on Dark Current cleanup/LOTL) and making sure my WT book is ready for DT release \o/

My goals are to get healing and DPS jobs to 90, except for Scouting and Caster jobs. (Those two so I can level them side-by-side with the same gear set with Viper and Pictomancer).

Currently my goals are to finish leveling my last two combat jobs, DNC and BLM, finish the Shadowbringers shared FATEs, and finish the crafter/gatherer job quests I've neglected for years. I've also been working on stockpiling all the materials to get all the Anima relics, however, due to the sheer number of Poetics needed to get everything, I know I won't get those done before the release of Dawntrail.

I'm still a very smol sprout so no I'm not "ready" for dawntrail and I won't be for a long long time. But my focus will probably be on progging the MSQ until my third primal at least (just finished titan)

My first goals as we get into the two weeks before expansion, is finishing the last couple bits of content I hadn't done -- I got my 625 to be able to do Lunar Subterrane and "The Twelve wing 3" during the early part of that "96 hours free across a month" that's running, so I have to do that when I slap sub leading into the expansion. Maybe I'll get the 1500 current-tomestones, or likely poetics when Dawntrail hits, to finish the final stage of the Manderville weapon for my main (RDM) too.

I have had all achievements in World of Warcraft every expansion for 8 years (since WoD), and looking at the achievements in FFXIV, it feels much more tedious to finish all of those. The best advice I can give is to set reasonable short-term goals. Setting out to finish all achievements from the get-go will only lead to burnout.

Things to get done for me before DT - I'm about halfway through Feast of Famine quest, and trying to smash through as much Big Fishing as I can before early access. Getting all of the splendorous crafting tools too but it feels so grindy rn

I'm mostly ready, my big prep task was throwing out 100 items from my glamour dresser. The other thing I'm really trying for is levelling trusts to 81, partly in case dps queues are too miserable for levelling new jobs, but mostly because it's a good excuse for doing that achievement. My actual dps levelling plan is eureka orthos.

I am working on completing all ARR crafting and gathering grinds. According to my spreadsheet, I still need 120,000 more shards to have enough to craft everything. That alone will get my location gathering grinds finished. This will also complete the materia extraction, HQ crafting grinds, and gatherer boon grinds.

I did a clean up of my glam dresser (i finally came around to use the armoire and not just slap everything in the glam dresser), did a cleanup of my inventory, furnished a part of the house my bf and I brought in the game and tried my hand at gardening which allowed us to dye our chocobos in a nicer colour. I also changed some of my glams and cut down the number of glam plates used. I think for the days left I'll focus on leveling up some crafters.

My dawntrail prep is creating the perfect glams to show off in Tural. I have 3 armor pieces left to get and then I gotta go for the weapons even though I'm maining Pictomancer for the MSQ.

That eureka relic grind is insane. Im only doing one before DT and ..oofles. (going for every DRG relic)

Dawntrail prep includes: finishing clearing my inventory (10 retainers and yet…..x.x), craft the last of the possible gc turn ins, cap gems, scrips, and seals (tomes/hunt currencies done), complete next weeks WT to turn in day 1, prep the challenge logs and custom deliveries on the Tuesday before maintenance and finish the plan for day 1 (friend and I are doing the msq together).

i have already been prepping for DT for like.... 2 months. Been grinding cash, making sure i have all currencies i could have capped, capped etc. I made sure to get retainers ready even buying a 3rd one so i can have Botanist, Miner and a combat class retainer. Gonna go crazy on grinding when DT drops.

I'm suuuuper late on getting my fc buffs primed. but that's background stuff, thankfully. the other thing I'm looking into is trying to clear some of the current extremes. I don't need the mounts quite yet but I do want to still try them out while they're fresh enough.

since you wondered how E5S was on content: It was a bit of a wall, savage even more so. Also released at the start of a certain global pandemic but before we actually took it serious. That is why one of the strats for E5S is called the corona strat. The entire raidtier was quite a good time. Frustrating but fun.

Inventory management is definitely a priority but I also have a lot of job leveling to do still, though I’ve got tank and healing jobs maxed. I also want to try and get what PvP gear I can get from the current series. I’m also setting up a Wondrous Tails to turn in to get some fast EXP for Viper or Picto, I could similarly set up weekly challenges but I’m not sure if I want to do that yet or just cash in on them now. Island Sanctuary is on the list too since I need to level that and I want the alligator mount before Dawntrail drops.

Mainly prepping my EXTREMELY PROCRASTINATED crafter and gatherer relics, Ive spent the past week getting all my craft tools from step 2 to step 6, and now I only got 2 steps for my gatherers left. Other than that lots of crystal and cluster farming to be ready once raids drop, all in all Im honestly mainly prepping for the raid tier :>

Right now I'm setting up crafts so I can macro craft away when DT drops and get a bunch of free exp! I'm also doing resplandent tools, since the expert crafts will get updated in DT, so this will be the last time in a while where you can just 100% macro craft them.

I took the entirely of Endwalker to GET to Endwalker because I struggle with reading, so here's my list in order: -Catch up on Patch Quests -Get a Manderville relic maxed out -Enhance my Paladin gearset before it becomes poetics -Get Crafting Mentor (Need BTN to 90) -Set up a glam for DRG and PLD (my two classes I will go through DT with, don't care about the new stuff) -Clean my inventory -Get as many classes I enjoy to 90 That's it.

I have been too busy playing Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons randomizer, so I haven't been doing any games on my PS4/PS5. Just this morning, though, I finally finished off the Thaumaturge hunting logs. My goals before Dawntrail(I will be playing Endwalker MSQ on Pictomancer) will be: * Get the rest of the hunting logs done(I still need Arcanist, Gladiator and Archer) * Complete the Four Lords trials and unlock the Sorrow of Werlyt for Tataru's Grand Endeavour. * Unlock the rest of the combat beast tribes and do the prelim quests to unlock the gathering and crafting beast tribes. * Maybe get some levels on my Level 30 jobs and my gatherers and crafters. (My highest level Land/Hand is Fisher because of Ocean Fishing.) Then I'll be prepping EXP gifts for my Pictomancer as well as get the glam fixed up for that character. I'll be joining you as a female Lalafell with a Fantasia on the final day before maintenance as I finish my EXP prep. ;)

I don't have enough time but I am working on finishing the custom deliveries ASAP! I only completed a few. Going to prioritize Margrat and Zhloe, then I'll do the SHB area ones and other...golden piggy guy. My friend and I will be playing through DT msq together, but they don't have as much free time as I do lmao. So while I'm dying waiting for them between periods of msq I'll be focusing on that stuff, plus leveling Viper on my alt, plus trying to level each of my other jobs so I can ATTEMPT to finish the MSQ with all the role quests finished... maybe. I took a whole week off for DT damn it! Can't wait to see what other achievements you get to go for in the next expansion!!

I'm basically ready. I've only got 3 achievements left to get my last luminary tool (minus fishing). After that it's just setting up wondrous tales to get the extra exp for viper on launch.

When looking at FF14 isolated, yes I'm ready for Dawntrail. However, I won't enter the new expansion until I'm done with Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree. Yoshi-P nailed it back during the Fanfest. I intend to use this one week before Dawntrail well.

I've had a checklist for my cuurent main, need to get up to date on MSQ, got 1 of each role to 90 and did all the rolequests, done all the pandae raids, need to do the last alliance raid, need to do the last section of Hildibrand and finish my main class' EW relic. Gonna have some spare time before DT, doing crafter leves and might go back to Bozja for levelling and a bit of relic prog

Island Sanctuary is not dead content! Island Sanctuary is free money! You just log in once a week, or once every two weeks even, set it up in like 5 minutes and you get to open lootboxes which can drop Jet Black Dye, Pure White Dye and a couple of mounts

Ramuh savage was really good on content. One of my favorites. Not crazy hard but just right for early turn savage difficulty to me. The only bad thing was the lightning bird thing that I had to kite as the offtank. I hated doing that mech

I'm just about fully ready for Dawntrail. Going to cap Tomestones, get all my retainers geared up (just need to get my miner retainer to 90 and I'm there), I have some buff food ready, I have my gear prepped and Viper and Pictomancer starting gear ready (although, I should probably glam them...), nearly capped on Hunt Clan Seals, I'm just punching out materials for Heavensward relic grinds out of boredom.

I forgot that you asked a question by the time I finished the video lol. Had to come back and try to skim for it, then check the comments when I couldn't find it. The last bits of prep I have to do for Dawntrail are maxing my comedies to finish off my Healer Aug Tomestone gear. I only have the 4 accessories left and if I get those, that will be everything geared to max for DT. I was a little late getting started with the Comedies and I've accidentally done shit like purchasing shoes I already had before (Why can't I undo or sell it back T-T). Also the Wondrous Tails thing you mentioned. I was hoping to be finished with all the Criterion Dungeons and maybe work on Savage raids so I could get all those mounts, but I was unable to. However, I got both Ozma, Cerberus, Morbol AND Astrope so I did pretty good. Plus all the current/old Extreme Trial mounts and old Savage mounts. The thing that keeps me going in this game isn't the hunt for achievements, it's hunting for mounts. I also want all the minions, Orchestrions, etc. Collecting in general, but mount specifically.

I'm mostly just trying to get my Bojza MCH weapon, 'cause a streamer pointed out how ridiculous the run animation is with Garo pistol. So now I want the matte version of the Resistance Weapon so I can get a shotty. Other then that, just pushing my retainers on quick ventures and trying to get black/white/silver/gold dyes.

I'm just about ready for DT. The goal I set for myself about 3 months ago or so was to level and gear every job to ilvl 650 or higher for all combat jobs. I will fail that since I don't get enough tomes to finish all the weapons, but I'll be at most around 2-3k poetics tomestones away from getting the rest once the expansion hits. I'm contemplating doing more trembling or just waiting out the expansion at this point. Another thing I never finished I just realized is EW shared fates. I might have some work to do still in the next 2 weeks.

Cleaning up my inventory and capping currency

I'm almost done with my prep. Wanted to finish omni 90ies, got DRK 87 and GNB 77 left. Gonna get those done while finishing ranking up Bozja for VIP/PIC levelling, that's rank 21. Full gearsets for the new jobs are ready. After that, its just week-1 and launch prep: prime challenge logs, get wondrous tails ready and any other XP boosts. And I also have to beat the final boss of inventory management. My glam dresser is full, all retainers are full, saddlebag is full, inventory is full. I don't know where to put all this stuff.

I've had my true goals for DT done for months really but ideally get some more rival wings done alongside maybe a deep dungeon orthos solo run finished!

I've been finally catching up on leveling all the jobs and cleaning out my retainers by either equipping the stuff during the leveling grind or putting it away in the glam cabinet. Overall, I've cleaned 80% of my total retainer space, cleaned up my chocobo saddle bag (even though all my materia is in there... ALL of it. should propably just sell that shit) finally fixed up my glams a little so my crafters and gatherers don't all wear Ironworks for the 5th consecutive expac... overall, the only shit I didn't get done is level the worthless melee DPS, so their shit will clutter my retainer back up once Dawntrail drops and the tank and heal level grind starts back up.

Current goal is to finish all of the splendorous tools (just gotta do MIN and BTN) and complete the ocean fishing Pokedex. I wanted to try farming the rest of the EW extreme mounts I'm missing, but this close to DT it feels like maybe it's better to just wait until level 100...

My Dawntrail prep: finish upgrading my gear, since for the first time I'm doing MSQ as a DPS and I want my Samurai gear at 660 before it starts. Beyond that, just some small inventory cleanup, maybe make a Fem Hroth in the benchmark so I can fantasia one of my retainers into one.
