Going back through these videos, it's made me realize that going in with a weekly/monthly plan like you do is the only way I can possibly approach Achievement hunting. In terms of MMOs I anticipate playing, FFXIV is forever my #1, GW2 will probably be my #2, and I plan to check out ESO and TOR at some point.
Oh man, now you're reminding me of hours spent getting cards...at some point I had them all except the one from Memoria Misera. Stopped trying in EW though cuz I just couldn't be bothered playing singular NPCs for hours anymore...
The solution to "I'm burnt out on ffxiv but have to keep playing it for my job" reveals itself - play a different game IN ffxiv Looking forward to the Doman Mahjong arc
Sorry to hear that your game crashed twice. Also, I probably got spoiled to a lot of Dawntrail crap. I really need to stop playing LEGO games and... oh yeah, LEGO Marvel baby! *cue the outro* XD
Yeah, Blueberry Dreamweaver wanted to get all the Triple Triad cards too but I'm burning out on Final Fantasy XIV. I was supposed to play this morning but got distracted by fanfiction and LEGO titles. XD Triple Triad is dope AF. ^_^
i still maintain there needs to be a pity system with these fuckers, after 2 ENTIRE FUCKING HOURS i should get that goddamn card i got that card mount, and until they add another i refuse to go out of my way to collect the EW/DT cards.
Once upon a time several of the most painful to beat, cheating cheaters of the ARR TT npcs were time gated. You could only play them for a few in game hours every in game day. It was awful and I hate them all to this day. Also it still bothers me that so many npcs can just ignore the rules regarding the limits on high * cards in their deck. At least they got rid of random. Getting 5 1* cards over and over again was just so fun.
I wait for the Make It Rain event to work on those achievements to alleviate some of the pain when an npc is being stubborn or I lose because of a combo
I somehow missed that the twin's mom was a custom deliveries NPC and it just stunned me seeing her wearing THAT. What was SE thinking giving the players this much power xD
Went through the 122/123 npc suffering recently. Went through the entire goddamn list before i hit return and saw it was the innkeep in my starting city. I feel nothing.
People that claim to understand Plus claim to like it, but they get real silent when they get plus combo'd combo'd combo'd on the last turn. There's a website called arrtripletriad that functions as a checklist for cards and duels you might be able to use. I haven't been subbed in years so I don't know how consistently updated it is these days but it looks like it's at least up to 7.0. In my experience the recommended deck is almost always poops, you could probably build a better one with whatever you've got. You're also probably going to want to jump on the tournament bus sooner than later because that's very time gated. And last, for a good time drag a m8 to the Typhon GATE at the Gold Saucer and challenge them to a duel on the stage. I used to call those shadow games. All of my progress towards the Typhon achievement comes from those.
I could have finished the DT MSQ faster if the damn triad players would have given me the cards...but I refused to continue until I got them. Also good to not for those just starting their triad journey (or starting their XIV adventure in general) start as soon as possible so you can get the dungeon/raid drops passively while doing MSQ or roulettes so you dont have to hard grind them later. Also using a tracker to find out what NPCs you have to beat and which ones would be locked behind side quests are also important but not super required.
oh thank god u finally did a triple triad video. been wanting that mount but I could never remember how the rules sets work. now I've got a cheat sheet. thank you mad baby
