Hi Amanda. Great video. Thank you. I have a question. I'm wanting to add lace to the bottom of a midi dress to add about a foot in length to the overall length. Should the lace be gathered with a basting stitch before sewing onto the dress? I've never done this before, and unsure how to do it. I think I'd like it to look like a lace slip beneath the dress. Any ideas? Thanks for your time 😊

It just depends on how you'd like the lace to look - you could certainly sew it on flat, or pre-gathered (although gathered lace will probably not work so well with this technique).
I’m new to sewing and I’m making my mother a pair of pajamas. I just bought a beautiful lace trim that to my delight will go perfectly with my project. And she will love it. I had no clear idea how to sew the trim on the pajamas, without going through a lot of work! Using bonding, interfacing etc. very confusing. I can’t thank you enough for simplifying the process for me. I’m excited now to finish my project more than ever!
What a great trick! The ideas are endless! You could probably sew the top of the scalloped edge straight close to the edge and leave the scallops loose too!
