This young man is inspiring and motivational. I have watched him work and grow over the last several years. There is NO ONE on YT that works harder and is more dedicated to their dreams. Andrew from a 72 year old still working I give you my highest compliments and commendation for your work ethic, how you love and care for the sweet puppies Blue and Cody and how kind you are to others around you. I am delighted for your continued success and wish you the very best,
This was my reaction: “Three and half hours!?” (Looks at clock, nods.) “I have three and half hours.” Your trailer fixing videos spurred me to fix-up my grandpa’s old trailer last summer. It’s back on the road now. Keep on crushin’ dude.
@@AndrewCamarata My grandpa had it built in the late 50s. 7 ft long (2.1m), 1/4” (.6cm) angle iron frame, with a small-Chevy rear axle welded onto it; wood sides. It had been rotting in the woods for a long time. I saw you do much larger jobs on your trailers and I thought “If he can do these things I can fix-up that old trailer.” I pulled it out of the trees and bought new wood, wheels, and wires. I flapped-disked 7 layers of paint off it, primed and painted it, etc. She’s a beaut’, now.
Andrew , I stumbled upon your channel about 6-7 years ago. Thank you for all your videos and sharing your life with the world. The world is crazy at the moment, left is right up is down and everything and everyone is angry. Your channel brings excitement to everyone, you can read it in the comments. Keep up the great work and please continue the awesome vibes and videos 🙏🇺🇲
Getting a 3+ hour Andy video is like getting an early Christmas present! I've always appreciated how diverse his videos are as well. I know that's why we're all here!
Three hours of what Andrew does best; Identifying problems and finding solutions. Gotta love Sam's attitude. She doesn't complain about being cold or wet, or working in awkward positions, takes the job seriously and is eager to learn, yet stops to look at a pretty rock or kiss a frog. She's a gem!
It’s sad when someone has nothing better to do than complain about someone doing work on their own property with their own equipment…ON A MOUNTAIN TOP THEY OWN. I’m glad nothing bad came out of that Andrew you’ve put so much time and effort into that property and it’s looking amazing
@@AndrewCamarata I think he was just trying to hassle you to try and be all big and bad. Which is probably why people didn’t like him, seemed like power got to his head
@@AndrewCamarata Not sure anyone in their right mind would mess with a guy with HUGE equipment and many many acres of property.......plenty of places to dig a deep hole and hide something they dont want anyone to find ever!! LOL
I'm about halfway through the video and I paused to think about just how far Andrew has come. I started watching right before 100k subs: I like the old and the new stuff, and the steady progression along the way. I think what makes me the happiest is seeing these group projects where Andrew isn't all alone with what looks to be way too much work for just one person. Instead now we've got what looks to be way too much work for ten! 😀
I'm right there with you, I stumbled on the channel on accident back when the algorithm made sense and I think the channel was at just around 50-60k subs. Blown away by his progress and staying true to his original long format videos, often recorded over multiple years. My favorite channel hands down.
I really hope I’m not the only one that thinks this would be an absolute dream to be able to buy a mountain and just shape an build it how you want. You’ve done an awesome job an I really appreciate you sharing your work. Thank you
I pulled the front half off that Volvo 25 ton you sold us 3 days ago,the new seat cushions you left in the cab went to a good home,it was a pain pumping the full tank of fuel out!
Another awesome video journey Andrew - thanks for taking us along. After 40+ years in commercial construction I can appreciate your accomplishments. I'm across the river from you and also like the local ties knowing much of your area and references you make to areas nearby in upstate NY. Keep up the great work your mountain is something you will enjoy for many years to come. Hope to cross paths with you someday.
You stand up for yourself Andrew!!! These planning board people are a real pain in the rear and need to be put in their place now and then. I don't know how they get these positions. I'm sure it is because those in the know have jobs and have to work all the time. Grrrr. You are doing an amazing job on all of this. Maybe it's jealousy ? Love your channel man!
" I don't know how they get these positions. " Answer corruption and people voting the same morons in office. It's been how many decades since Reagonomics started basically rotting America from the inside out? How many decades does the US have to play this cat and mouse game where one gov repairs things and the other acts like a pathetic child who breaks everyone's toys because they don't get their way and by hell and thunder, if they can't have things, they'll steal, destroy and do anything possible to undermine everyone's work and time. US citizens need to add up to reality and start voting people who know what they're doing and that won't bend over to the first bribe that comes their way. Don't forget, it was corruption that brought the Titanic down, the iceberg was just a symptom of a larger problem that night.
You have no idea about how difficult life is in other countries when one tries to build stuff on ones own land. To do anything down here in New Zealand requires a lot of paperwork. In other news homes are in massive under supply......
Andrew, The first 23 minutes was incredible. Not only all that went into digging up the frozen rock, but processing and spreading it. But, as a guy who has had 2 of the best dogs during a 28 year stretch from 1994-2022, I was really impressed by how your 2 dogs run right along with you.
Your presentation style is so engaging and easy to follow that it feels like we're having a conversation rather than watching a lecture! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us in such an accessible way, it makes all the difference to viewers like me who want to learn but don't want to be overwhelmed by jargon or technical terms. Keep up the great work!
I almost forgot to treat my machines and fuel this fall, since my last delivery was #2 not off road diesel. My supplier treats the off road but #2 is well just #2. Also we need more ppl like your starter guy. Everyone is so quick to replace with Chinese junk rather than fix or rebuild. Support those small businesses that do amazing work!!
I am 92 years young and have followed Andy for at least 5 years and never disappoints me watching him. An amazing genius must have a very high IQ to solve all those problems with ease. Glad to see he is making a good living doing what he likes. Keep up the great videos it makes many (1Million) happy.
Is that the same lady that helped him build the castle house if so she lost a lot of weight I did not even recognize his videos are all over the place and you keep your 90 year Young self still young🎉 congratulations sir.....🎉..... JJ...😊
@@donofchron4204he does grease his stuff in tons of videos. But Andrew is kind of rough on all his stuff cause he knows he can fix it. Like when he replaced the radio in his dash with a chainsaw. Or flipped his truck with the forklift to look at the underbody.
Just watched for the second time. Am now going through the five years ago video's and when I finish all I will probably watch this one again. Just sets peace in my soul to watch someone go one and on with what they love that I miss from my younger days going on 76 still play pick up sticks now and then as well.
I like that you support your local starter/alternator rebuilder. That’s what I do for a living. It’s been a dying art for a long time, but it’s still crucial for many industries. I do mostly heavy equipment and industrial these days. I’m 36 but most guys our age just go buy a pos Wilson at the auto parts store and then come find me when it doesn’t work. I only use American made solenoids on diesel starters and the best parts I can get. So much junk from overseas
@@AndrewCamarata Crazy, I bet that was a “Friday job”. Even the Delco Remans aren’t anywhere near as good as an original Delco. They’re done in Mexico. I’ve seen a lot of crazy stuff over the years. I don’t like come backs so I do a lot more then even a CAT, JD or Delco Reman job. If the bushing in the nose is so worn it eats into the armature I have a special tool to turn the armature shaft down on my lathe and use an oversized bushing vs having to replace a $100 armature. Lots of little tricks. He’s right too with not having that correct solenoid that thing likely stayed engaged and that’s what destroyed the teeth on the drive. Thankfully it’s softer metal then your ring gear and that was ok.
That is good to hear. I was worried when I saw that damaged starter gear. At first I was just trying to pull the solenoid to bring to him. I am glad I brought the whole thing.
@@Bannimann2, His forever here on earth, I was trying to congratulate him on owning his piece of property. If he doesn’t sell it he can pass it on to whoever he wants when he’s gone.
Scale, appropriate term. Essentially Mr. Camarata has created his own Mountain.Road.Commission. To get in at that scale is not for most. Pretty clear that Andrew is using his construction knowledge to significantly increase the value of his mountain properties. Anyone quote the cost of a mountain road lately?
The amount of inspiration I get from these videos is unmeasurable. Always seeing you with a positive attitude and the problem solver mentality. What you are doing is absolutely remarkable and inspires us common folk!
As a life long mechanic who has thought about but never done it , I appreciated.when she put the nut in her mouth. Nothing sexual I swear! It's just savage and I loved it 😂
That wide shot Timelapse of rock crushing through the rain was one of the coolest sequences I’ve seen in a while. So awesome! Framing, lighting, exposure, everything was 👌🏼. Nice work!!
@@AndrewCamarataAgreed, but at the end of the day we all have our own path to travel. Be happy yends you got to spend time with someone whose interests and talents were close to your own for even a short time. Trust me, it's rare. People throughout your life pass in then then pass onward, some good ones and some bad. Always remember the good and forget the bad. Go on more trips with friends and family, I was pretty happy to see you go meet your fans and fellow RU-vidrs. Do more of it. There is a big wide world for you to see brother.
@@AndrewCamarata give her a call and tell her you miss her and spending time with her. Learn how to share your feelings with her and working side by side with her makes you appreciate having someone to share time with. She might be a pretty good hand with working in the ruff but she is a female and we have to treat them as so and we have to show them some gentleness. It took me 5 years to come to that conclusion with my wife of 42 years but it has been worth it over and over. My wife and I had broken up after five years and she was dating someone else at a Halloween party and I knew they were there, long story but I happen to see them together and they were arguing when the guy up and slapped her. I ended up getting into a fight with the other guy and figured out in my head that she was worth the fight, sometimes letting someone go leads to figuring out how much they mean to you. You can work hard for yourself in life or you can work and build a future together with someone who will be there and contribute and have your back.
You guys make fantastic videos. Thank you for taking the time to make a three and a half hour documentary and keeping it interesting for the whole time. Looking forward to see what 2024 brings from your team 👍🏻🏴
Modernization of industry led to the birth of heavy machinery in construction. Machines have really changed people, thank you for sharing these great videos.
Sam is a hell of a girl how she can jump in and help on any job under brutal conditions even. I hope they can work out their issues some day and make a go of it. I can tell by the way she yelled his name when he was backing up the dump truck and she thought he was in danger ….. she care about him.
Thank you for sharing, I operated heavy equipment over 45 years and loved every minute. Wish I lived closer. I'd help just for the fun. I don't usually like the really long videos, but I liked this one. Kinda like the whole story. Thanks again for sharing this video 😊
Andrew, your commitment to road building is awesome and almost compulsive! Heck the fuel alone was probably a good chunk of money! Love the long video! Thanks for what you do.
Who all would love to see Andrew custom build a dedicated service truck ? I also am surprised those pieces of equipment don't have dedicated starter fluid sprayers. The ones I used in the oilfields were so much more effective than trying to find a angle to shoot a load into the breather.
Happy Birthday 🎂 Blue. Tell Dad you want go visit all your dog friends then have pizza, burgers and a tasty birthday cake! Belated Happy Birthday to 4 year old Cody! What great dogs!!
3Hrs of Epic Film ! No irritating crowds, no high price popcorn, no special effects. Just solid entertainment. Thanks Andrew. And , A great Costar. Casting director get's an Oscar.
The footage at the beginning of the video is from last winter, January and February. Would’ve been nice to label the different bits, so people get an idea of what they’re watching.
Andrew I'd like to thank you for you videos I help me understand 2 stroke motors iv just fixed all my lawn mower equipment thanks keep up you good work videos you and Jen remind me of my wife and me when we were younger 50 years ago when younger
Great video Andrew. Total transformation of the mountain path to a road. Lots of different equipment used, equipment I've never seen before. Good to see Sam on this with you. Blue is all grown up now. Him and Cody make quite the pair.
Watching Sam learn how to stick weld was great. It's a weird thing to learn. "Push but not too fast, touch it but also don't, drag it along but also hover, you will figure it out."
That looked like 7018 rods from the way they were restarting after initial weld. Those things are difficult to restart. I usually tap once hard against the workpiece then drag the rod to restart then just start drawing C 's for a nice uniform looking weld. Stick welding is becoming a lost art with the cost of wire feed welders coming down.
Someone had commented that andy is a candidate for a darwin award. The way andy works, I got to agree. I wish he could show some common sense and NOT work alone, even a slight accident, there is no one there to help him. But he is young and thinks he is indestructible, we all did at his age.
I miss having a helper, but no, you don’t have to worry about me getting into an accident, I could see what’s going to happen before it happens. The people whom think I am working un-safely are the ones which would be quickly hurt doing this type of work.
@@AndrewCamarata Take care young Andrew, you take too many chances. It is the indestructible mindset that is the problem. You cant see it dude, we can, cos we been there. But we were NEVER alone on a slippy mountain road driving large machines. Not many RU-vidrs can wrap a story around doing stuff. IT is indeed a rare talent. Its all about the narrative, you are a natural creator.
my dinner went cold because i got too addicted watching andrews videos lol.. also, great to see samantha joining in pn the fun too.. what a great soul she is too by learning from andrew! keep up the awesome videos andrew!
You know Andrew is getting a little older and wiser when he starts talking about comfortable and quiet 😅. Had to kick the wife out of the living room for 3.5 hrs but we all have to make sacrifices 😂.
Andrew I got a girl or a lady that does some welding for me and she can do better than the male welders she can lay a pretty bead. Enjoy your video man stay safe.
Nice epic video! Amazing to see the progress from the earlier videos struggling to get gear up to the top of the hill! I love making stone tracks, no where near the scale of yours. Amazing skills at working, maintaining and using all your machines. Up most respect, keep the videos coming!
4.20 in the morning and I do not think I made a mistake! watching this epic! so much to see and enjoy . Fifty years ago I did all that stuff working on the roads in Scotland . It was a good job then and It still looks like a good job now! thanks for the happy memories btw my caravan was 13foot 6 inches that was including the tow bar! our water froze in October and came back in April I would work that stuff for peanuts just to do it again
This IS America, thank you! WTF - how does that lady even think for a second she can say you need approval to put a camper on your own land? Esp when you have soo many acres and miles of road all to yourself. Stop regulating every single thing in this country. Good for you for standing up to them!
Great work and you’ve been right on with you’re troubleshooting equipment problems and repairs ! The guy you took the starter to seems like a good guy ! Great enjoyment in your work to get the road in : Hopefully you won’t have any problems with the town and the state with the NY politicians !
Mike Morgan or someone like him would have made this a 3 times a week, twenty minute videos, until finished project. Andrew does it in one. Andrew, thanks for doing what you do.
good series -- seeing the bucket teeth get stick welds started was painful but all turns out well as usual. Andrew to the rescue! the Global Track rock crusher is a game changer
What a great video. Had all the long video camarata staples: Multiple seasons Giant bonfire for multiple days Great Labrador inspectors Fixing machines Massive project with multiple people Amazing Timelapses Love the vids 👍🏻
Dude did you just drop a 3 and a half hour video!!!! you’re awesome Edit: wow thanks for the likes guys! Now if only we could get this many to subscribe to the channel I started with my son we would be on our way to making better videos such as these and getting monetized 😂
Mighty awesome video Andrew as per usual sir, and great to see Sam with you doing an awesome job as well, you have trained Sam well. Oh great help with the gentleman who drove every machine, sorry dint get his name. Thank you Andrew for keeping me sane, my health problems are getting better watching your 3 + hour videos. Keep them coming. Howdee from Northern Ireland in the county of Down. Cheers ANDREW SAMANTHA.
Ok, yeah saw the thumbnail of the video and then I remembered! Have seen all of your videos and have been following for years now, thanks for your content
Been watching you develop this property since the beginning and I barely recognise it now! I remember those muddy tracks and all the struggle bringing equipment up there, very cool to see roads now!
One of your best and what a mammoth video! So satisfying to watch the part where you dig the cliffside down. The way the rock just keeps falling apart perfect for the crusher. You must have really enjoyed doing that bit after so many difficult rocks before. Brilliant to see some good old heavy machinery working and achieving a lot!
Andrew I see your hands and I used to have the same look ! Use a thin type of rubber glove under your regular glove it makes a difference in feel and look !
I can enjoy a 3.5 hour video just as much as an 18 minute video. Keep 'em coming Andrew! I watched a video the other day of a guy wanting to install a stereo in his dash and it wouldn't go first time. He said to DON'T MAKE ME GO ANDREW CAMARATA ON YOU! 😝
So cool to get such a long formate video Andrew!! Thanks for putting the time in to do it. That pulley didn’t wanna go back on because the hub shrunk when you added so Much weld/heat to it. It’s amazing how much it can shrink a bore by welding on it. Also. That starter shop guy (Mike) is the kinda dude you want in your back pocket at all times. Has prob forgot more about starters then any of us will ever learn.
Oh what on earth, what a bloody good LONG video! Can’t get enough of this shit, you fix things, build things, make roads etc in snow rain and sun. So damn damn good to see such hard work and progress. Keep it up….but rest in between haha.💪🏻👍
Tires, batteries & hydraulics are the nemesis of production. Can't work without them but why are they so difficult? You guys take on some really difficult tasks. Keep it up!
You've done a spectacular job on this hill. All the breakdowns and weather changes but you withstood the turmoil and pressed on to your goals sight. The extra long video was very entertaining and well produced.
Watching for a second time and have read all the comments. AC fan or what? Note worthy is Andrew has replies way deep in the thousands of comments. Very respectful. BTW, have not noticed video shuttering or video stutter. Thank you.
great job! watched the entire video- epic! up there with the "castle" spiral stair construction. and satisfying to see the cleaned up finished project tour at the end. we had been wondering before this video came out what you have been working on and this answers that question. we look forward to seeing more. Thanks for posting. editing must have been a big chore also.
Great video. The rock crushing and road building videos are always my favorite. I get to enjoy them without actually having to be out and doing the work myself, although that can be enjoyable as well. It's nice being out of the snow though.
Andrew, try warming up the intake manifolds on cold diesel engines with a simple handheld propane torch and they'll fire right up. You don't need to get them firey hot. Just warm them up some.
