New challenge that should be added: All-Moon challenge, every kingdom you go to you have to collect every SINGLE moon. Once you found out all the moons, check in Talkatoo, Uncle Amiibo, or Hint toad. After that, next kingdom. This is a great challenge for beginners.

Speedrunners were playing the game casually just like everyone else when it came out. They were also experimenting with the game at the same time to see how to play it faster.

You will never be able to beat the story in one hour... this guy is a professional speed runner that knows sequence breaks and fastest routes and doesn’t also collect any stars along the way. The main story took me around 10-20 hours to complete and I’m around 40 hours in now and still haven’t collected all the moons or coins yet. The games long...

The 12 hour run of that is impressive indeed, as well as the 9.5 hour time needed for all the individual moons Puts it on par with a lot of RPG speed runs (granted, for their any% category), but definitely not a short game. I saw the end of the first 100% run, it was over 18 hours

It’s also notable that those categories are (currently) longer than the 100% (or 242 Star) version of Super Mario Galaxy 2, which I believe is the previous longest category of a Mario game, although I may need to exclude some of the RPGs from that statement

Most of em take crazy amount of skill. At first I didn't think much of it but if you look at games like OoT with how hard the runs are it's really impressive. Do gotta say though that some speedruns are really dumb. Imo atleast. Like Goldeneye looks silly.

TheJege12 his game is in simplified Chinese. It makes the run about 3 seconds faster by the end. The text moves faster when you are forced to listen to something.
