As someone who loves your videos and your passion for Halo lore - it’s incredibly difficult to reconcile something that is diametrically opposed! Also, to express the fact that I had that exact moment of clarity when watching this video - It’s like listening to an Astro physicist describe the workings of a black hole and then hearing him finish with “oh and also the Earth is flat” - sometimes takes are so bad you can’t take the rest seriously. Influencers unfortunately do influence and while they are ofc not objective they can matter. As a Halo “influencer” your opinion matters. This is my attempt to influence the influencer to try and objectively revaluate the show. Without that, we will just continue to have our favourite franchises absolutely ravaged by lowest common denominator drivel like the “Halo” tv series.

@jackboland8787 You misunderstand me. What were you hoping to achieve by publicly shaming my opinions on something you don't like? I have evaluated the show plenty of times. I enjoy it. Its really as simple as that. If my enjoyment of a thing that you don't enjoy is substance enough to completely Marr your opinion of my content as a whole, that's most definitely a you problem, in which case, I can only recommend to spare yourself the agro and move on. Being outraged and trying to influence my opinions through peer pressure, and attempting to shame me for my position based on a difference of opinion isn't the right way to do this. I don't like seafood. But I'm not going to march up to someone sat in a seafood restaurant and tell them their choice to eat seafood is a truly terrible take and totally undermines their integrity. It's a rather unreasonable thing to do. I'm always happy to have conversations about differences of opinion. I just don't get the shaming mentality if your aim is to sway an opinion. Perhaps employ a different technique based on mutually respectful discourse rather than shaming and attacking a person's character?

@@Installation00 i'm quiet certain my prior comment succicnetly summarized what i was trying to achieve. Your metaphor is flawed - let me better frame it for you. This is more akin to saying - "I don't like seafood - but I do love human ". Clearly one is right, the other is wrong and wrong to such an extreme it requires introspection on how something got so wrong. I'm not attacking your character - i'm attacking your review.

@jackboland8787 No, it's nothing like that. You're employing reductio ad absurbum. Enjoying human flesh is morally and ethically wrong and/or illegal in most civilised society. Enjoying a TV show is not morally or ethically wrong or illegal, so your metaphor doesn't apply. And it's absolutely ridiculous that you are comparing the enjoyment of a TV show to the consumption of human flesh. In any case, it's a moot point for this simple reason; I like the show. I enjoyed the show. You didn't enjoy it and want to convince me to align my opinions with yours. You haven't succeeded, so that's really the end of our conversation.
