It seems everyone likes the videos once a week, but it could be time consuming for you. Keep up the great work I love your passion with this project. Mike
Broughdacious work my friend.. re your question regarding frequency of videos. On the one hand, weekly vids are good but on the other, people watching this build in a years time don't care about that, they want to see things that they can learn from, or be inspired by and be entertained by see and the progress. I started out watching your Jaguar build in 20 minutes, then I watched the individual ones, and watch a couple per night to get caught up, then I watched your Mclarren build from late last year and thought, holy fu** this dude is good, I'm going to subscribe!. But to work out if you should do weekly, your view statistics should give you clues as to which. If most of your views are long term, I'd say Quality not Quantity. But the channel is young so most of your views will be later. Fans are just going to have to click the bell so they get notified. Finding the good music and cutting the annoying songs that get stuck in peoples heads and all the other stuff that add subs will come with time I am sure. Your funny cutaways add value for sure but I don't always see them. I've LOL'd a few times at your gags. Other ideas: South-African-specific cutaways could be good too for all the international viewers. Such as animal sightings even in your suburban environment, lizards, snakes, jackals, annoying bird or animal calls, your dogs being dogs, wife giving you an earache about something, kids hustling your tools, entertaining things to break things up make good entertainment IMO. Fab Rats totally include the family and it makes it great. B is for Build has a pretty good formula too, Jimmy Diresta also, who keeps moving the camera to frame up the most exciting visual shot regularly so as not to be repetitive. He narrates over top of his high speed vids sometimes (mostly only on his patrion vids now that he's big) . Shots are sometimes close and sometimes far to keep it interesting. Enough lights, etc.. Anyway, keep up the good work man, Cheers!
I don't mind when they come out, I'm just happy to see them, but from watching other youtubes and the things they have said about the algorithm it sounds like youtube prefers channels that post to a schedule and penalise some when they don't keep to that schedule and thats why sometimes they'll up load a video explaining why there is no video, so youtube thinks there is a video.
