Just met Mr Quaye while sitting outside convenience store near to where I live. Even 25 years the song is beautiful and he had a great smile and modest demeanour. This song is incredible.

Its a shame Finley Quaye went off the rails in the way that he did. I heard this song for the first time in years recently, so Googled his name to see where he is now, and it made sad reading. Heartbreaking even, considering the message of peace and joy that ran through all of his music, and all how many people it has touched over the years. Despite everything, anybody who can conceptualise a song like this has beauty in their soul. I hope he can get back in touch with it.

Recent news brought me here. It's been a long time since I last listened to this song, too long. First time I heard it on headphones my mind was blown from the timeless sheer beauty of sound. To me, it is a love song. not one directed towards a specific person, it's a love song to this world. It could be cruel and full with misery and sometimes vile but it's all dwarfed when happiness and love hits you. I've never read the lyrics and looked for the original meanings because I'm afraid they wouldn't match the sensation this song gives me. Thank you for these sonic fruits Finely, I hope your roads will forever be shined upon by the sun.

I remember him watching him filming this video way back when I was a young boy i would of been about 10. I lived in those block of flats in the background. This video was done in Woolwich South East London. I remember watching him from a distance sitting on that bench and all the camera crew I was thinking what the he'll is going on

2023 and still loving these songs. Reminds me of passing my driving test and getting my first car. I'm introducing my kids to the music I would listen to with my friends and maybe a couple girls when driving round in the car with no where to go, just drive all night.
