Kayli, the moment you embraced Layla was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve seen. There have been so many times I’ve seen a child emotional and I’m screaming to my tv to the parent to give them a hug.. something.. anything. She just seemed overwhelmed with all the excitement and everything you had to go through the past few weeks. But Kayli, the way you focused in on her and let her know everything was okay. Dang it, now I’m crying! That was the sweetest reaction. You don’t really realize sometimes the emotions that have built up until that relief hits. He’s home, you are all together and now you can let all those emotions out. ❤
Empathy is such a real emotion in kids. Layla cried and I kept composed but when Kayli started to cry my tears fell bc the amount of relief must be overwhelming. Knowing that she was worried about this pregnancy when she found out she was pregnant, then everything in the midst, and Finns NICU journey. I’m a mess. I am even more happy about the amount of outpouring love the family has provided. Finn is truly a blessing to them all, especially with how Layla instantly knew how to hold him. Everyone needed a bit of his love in some way. Moreover how each sibling embraces each other. Every family has their moments but this vlog really pierces my heart in many ways. This video couldn’t be anymore beautiful in showing a strong family bond.

I’ll never forget when my brother was born and I held him for the first time. I cried for an hour straight. Although we have 16 years apart I love that kid more than anything. We have such a special bond. I’m sure Layla will have that with fin. Congrats guys!
