It's an anglicized version of Turkish word for turning (döner)-- it refers to the way the meat is cooked. It's actually to same as the Greek term gyro.

BonadanAlloy it’s actually not as big as it looks in the map. in the map it looks as big as the whole african continent but it’s not to scale at all because you have to sacrifice scale to make distance accurate since the earth is a globe and it’s hard to make it flat.

Fun video, but I did find it weird that it was implied we just empty the bag into a jug. Everyone remembers the tiny razors we'd magnet to our fridges to slice the corner of the bag. Noth Wolfard and Davis are immensely charming in this video and nice to see Canadians chatting about Canadian culture.
