Finnair's Fantastic new Business Class - LHR to HEL (4K)

Join me on Finnair's A350 to check out their excellent refreshed cabin and new business class seats. Lots of space and privacy. They got so many things right with this design and have created a winner here. The only downside to the seats is that they rely on 2 flimsy cushions to get comfortable and support your back. I only used one cushion as the other made the seat uncomfortable.

Excellent video. Those seats do look quite spacious. That footwell looks like one has to really sleep at an angle but you made it look comfortable. The TV screens are great , sharp and crisp. All shot handheld with the Go Pro 10 which is equally amazing in video quality. 👍.

Glad you liked the video. Yes the seats are excellent. The flat bed design is much better than the Singapore airlines angled business class sleeping arrangement. The only downside is that your back comfort is dependent on getting the 2 cushions to support your back.

Just had the pleasure of being able to experience this new product on a long-haul flight from Singapore to Helsinki. The seat design is amazing. It provides maximum comfort and privacy despite it not being able to recline. The colour and design of the seats are also pleasing to the eye and gives the cabin a classy look. The only problem is that it can sometimes be difficult to change sleeping positions once both your feet are in the foot cubby. But overall, I had an excellent experience. A big thumbs up to the designer of these seats, and I hope this becomes a game-changer for Finnair.

@@Detvanliga Sorry, you misunderstood me. It will take longer to see Premium Economy videos on RU-vid due to the greater interest in the new Business seating. For example, If you have the chance to fly the new Business class or the new Premium Economy class most people will pick the Business class. It’s far more interesting for video purposes. I needed a one way trip via Helsinki so of course I chose the Business cabin to review.

I thought the LHR to Hel route in business class was configured 3 plus 3 with middle seat blocked off

If it the a320 then yes you would be right but they flew both types on the LHR route.

Just a question. Did you know before you booked that this would be a plane with the new seats? I’m trying to figure out how to determine if my upcoming flights LHR to HEL to SNG are with the new seats. Any info welcome.

I knew that several a350's had been updated. So it was simply a matter of selecting the flight number/time using the a350. In theory they might have swapped out the aircraft but all reports showed that they new seats were being used on the LHR-HEL route. You also need to check the seat layout when you book. That will show you which aircraft being used.

Hi There. Another way to verify if you chosen flight is using the new seating is to check the Premium Economy layout as it will be 2-4-2 vs 3-3-3 on the old layout.

The easiest way is to check if there is an Premium Economy on the flight. If there is Premium Economy it is with the new seats.

Are there individual air vents above the business class seats?

Hi Thomas. No air vents - if you look at 13:26 to 13:44 you can see there are no air vents.

Hi Ed. It all depends on a cushion whether you are comfortable or not. That's why I showed the seat with and without cushions. There is no other way to adjust the seating comfort. Its an individual thing. What I think is comfortable you may not.

The seat is lovely but that cookie is just offensive - they used to have proper blueberry cake for dessert on this route and now all we get is this supermarket cookie. I can only hope enough people complain about the food that the menu gets changed.

thank you for report but unfortunately Finnair Business class catering sucks they serve minimum their business class meals are more like other airlines premium economy I think for Finnair its better to fly premium economy

@@robertgonzales3936 Well, they have now overhauled the service, and it seems to be a lot better. I think that this seat is one that you need to fly before saying your opinion.

@@robertgonzales3936 The servce changed recently. For me the seat seems good as you get provided the pillows, so its kinda like a sofa. The flat surface looks nice for sleep too. Thanks for the answer.
