I also prefer the new Business Class seat. It‘s like being at home on your couch. I actually slept quite good on it and relaxing was just like at home in my living room!

@@johny5400 I actually enjoyed once in the q-suite before the pandemic, that's even closer to the 1st class experience than this new Finn J-class. But... Finn does a great job as well.

@@jujube1263 This seat looks cool for sure, but can’t compare. The screen is much smaller, who knows what quality. And business is also about the lounge, the food and drinks on the plane. Finnair business food is similar to emirates/qatar economy. The whole package is still rather overpriced and if not buying ticket way ahead of time, I am paying the same amount for a premium airlines

The heringbone seat they was lie-flat to; in addition the new legrest is only manually and the footrestroom seems narrow as before! What a improve 😂

This seat in Business doesn't convince me, I'm not confident in that type of product

@@simulacrae Agreed. I sleep elevated - this design pretty much dictates you either sit up straight or lie flat. I wouldn't get much rest for that 12 hours.

There wasn't a Premium Economy before. The USP is a comparison to standard Coach that is nearly identical across airlines as nearly all use one of two models of seats and have food that is similar to business class but served on a tray as in coach. The tray tables in PE actually are far superior to the ones in coach- they aren't lying. Nobody is going to say, I want to fly premium economy, and then pick the airline with the best one. They pick the airline, then decide coach or premium economy.

How it looks is irrelevant to a pleasant flight. If you don't like the way it looks, close your eyes. A comfortable flight depends on two things: pitch and seat width. A pleasant flight depend on those two plus friendly staff and a good neighbor in the seat next to you. Even access to an aisle pales in comparison to those three points. Don't care how soft the covering is on the armrests. If they are pushing into your sides, because the seat isn't wide enough, after a fairly short amount of time, they hurt. It is hard to fall asleep unless the bed approximates the amount of space (including for your feet) that you have at home. If you don't have to put your feet on top of one another at home (and who does?), you won't fall asleep easily if you have to on a plane. And who sleeps with a seat belt fastened tightly at home, which is basically still the case in the Business Classes I have flown in? You can't flip over without waking up, unfastening the belt, and fumbling to refasten it. If you walk back to Economy, all you see are people asleep from the alcohol they have drunk or looking like they are subject to medieval torture. All that storage space around the seat does nothing but to reduce the amount of space for one's body. The only time I have been truly comfortable on a long-haul flight was when I was upgraded to First Class. I couldn't believe it! I actually slept for six hours straight and thought the flight attendant was nuts when she woke me and told me I had to get up or else I'd miss breakfast. _That_ was a pleasant flight. At 6'3" and 220 pounds, I barely tolerate Business Class. I guess I should set up a Go Fund Me account so rich people will send me money so I can fly at the same level of comfort as they always do. The fact that there are people in the world who can just fork over US$8,000-$10,000 for a long-haul flight, like I pay $2.50 for a subway ride, is still unimaginable to me. Yes, the new cabins on this carrier look very nice. I could look at a film of them for hours on end and be relaxed by them, just as long as I didn't have to sit in one.
