It's time to announce the winner of the contest I kicked off in Episode 51 with the folks at Wirecare.com. We are giving away $2,500 worth of tools and supplies to wire and plumb a project car to the person who inspired with with a comment left in the comments section last month. Over 7,000 people gave it a shot, which blew my mind and took forever to read through! Also in this video my friend Dave and I do some serious suspension work on my 1955 Chevy Bel Air, Blasphemi, in an effort to set the stance just right and to allow me to leave the dragstrip starting line with more horsepower. We install a Jim Meyer Racing rear anti-roll bar as well as build our own set of aluminum lift blocks for the front of the car. After all of that work I venture to Hot Rod Drag Week with my friend, Daniel, and during test and tune the car went quicker than it ever has before. It ran a 9.07 pass at 149 mph in the 1/4 mile. This is nearly half a second quicker than it ran at the same track a year ago. To say i'm happy is an understatement and I cannot wait until that actual competition at Drag Week 2018 begins. Thanks for watching. The 55 is nearly finished or at least done enough that I can finally move onto other projects in the garage. I'll have an update on the Ramp Truck, the Jet Boat, and my '67 C10 real soon.
Thanks to Jacob Davis and Daniel Boshears for the on-track video footage of the car racing.
Thanks to Wes Allison for our thumbnail photo of Blasphemi!
