My name is Mike Finnegan and when I'm not working on cool project cars, trucks and boats in my home garage, I co-host the automotive adventure shows, Roadkill and Faster With Finnegan, on the MotorTrend app.
Love all your content...especially the boats. I just sold my 40 year old Kustom Kraft TX20...Twin turbo Gale Banks BBC. Had lots of fun with it. I'm now retired and 83. One question has always been on my mind. They told me to always be in the water to run it. When I'm working on it that really inconvenient. I've seen snippets of a disconnect but never put it together. The shot of your Eliminator cleared that up. I saw the name (Jetaway) and looked it up. I would have loved to know that years ago. Nobody ever explained things to me so I'm trying to give the new guy a break. Would yo do a couple of things to help? A video explaining the Jetaway and how it's used and installed. Also, would love for you to do a deep dive on your control box and system. Lots there to learn. Thank you.
Finnegan reminds me of that rich kid that we all knew growing up that had all the newest/coolest toys, yet somehow managed to destroy every single one of them.

at 9:25 it looks like the push rod was out of the cup and was riding on the flange of the lifter.. That would increase the lift and cause the valve to touch the piston.
Hey i had a thought perhaps you could start another youtube channel for the boats cos I'm not one bit interested and then you can monotise two chanells and make more money. Please and thank you

If I understood this correctly whilst it was playing in the background and my primary focus was elsewhere..... I thought I heard that it went to west tech for dyno testing... and it was there that the rocker studs kept coming loose and lock tight was added to stop it? If that was what I heard it seems to me that the whole thing should've stopped right then and there before disaster came. Its like the check engine warning light coming on in the car and someone put a little tape on the dash glass or blacking it out with a sharpie so as not to see it anymore and thought that made the problem go away...... I also thought I heard the mention of something that sounded like "it ran great for years the way it was and then I decided to change it for nitrous" but I might have not heard that right. I'm curious now as to who ordered the crank/rod/piston dimensions and had them rush delivered to throw together in a hurry to go race... the engine builder or the engine owner? I wasnt 100% sure but sounded to me like everyone involved played an important role in the end result at some point.
I called Comp 2 weeks ago about regrinding a cam. They told me it was not worth it. I'm not dumb.... Apparently they wanted to sell me a $ 500 cam. They are getting a bad reputation. I bought a Bullet set up and got all the information from them
