Gedmatch is more accurate than any of the DNA companies....great video would love to see more native Finns do the test... there are a few pashtuns who have done the tests and put them up who show high Finnish or Scandinavian dna amongst their tribe....would be interesting to find out how the Finnish dna ends up in Pakistan

Finnish shows up in a lot of places. It's often a mislabel. They have certain haplogroups that aren't common to Europeans but are a minority within most other groups.

The DNA map of Finland is surpringly divided, the western/southern parts typically have a lot of scandinavian influence but much less or nothing in east/north.

Western Finns and Eastern Finns are more genetically different than for example some Russians, Scandinavians and central Europeans are between each other :d This is also on the map, Kuusamo-Finns and Helsinki-Finns are very far apart.. Finns are genetically very different from the rest of Europe, and even very different between themselves in Finland.. Everyone is related to each other in the end, but in this test Finland is not related to Scandinavian :D

Hi! That's pretty interesting :D There was a finnish army battalion ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnish_Guards%27_Rifle_Battalion ) that fought in the balkan region ~140 years ago, Russo-Turkish war. This is the closest thing from history that comes to mind, maybe one of the soldiers is your finnish ancestor :D Not sure if they ever went through south croatia 🤔 There is a famous Finnish war song where they sing about fighting in the balkans ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1nehkhIOa-0.html 6% sounds like a great-great-grandparent could be finnish, timing makes sense for this at least haha. Its my theory, could be very wrong.

@@icemonkeymomentum well it could be less than 6%, ftdna gave me 3%, but there is definitely few percentages. However, didn't know that finnish army participated in wars vs ottomans :O. My ancestor also fought in the wars against ottomans for 400 years (but didn't mix with them :D). But it could be the connection, who knows, very interesting. There is one other thing that comes to my mind. Hungary. Are you in any way related? Except language, even though they are not very similar, right?

Olin aikaisemmin nähnyt tuloksia jotka ovat saaneet 95-100% suomalaisen, ajattelin sukupuutani katsottaessa että jos joku saa lähes 100% niin se olen minä :D Esivanhemmat on tiedossa isän puolelta yli 5 sukupolvea jokaiseen suuntaan, ja kaikki suomalaisia... luulin että suomalaisten geenit on niin erilaiset kuin muu eurooppa että vaikeampi niitä sekoittaa näin paljon :d ainakaan irlannin ja länsieuroopan kanssa.. Isällä 22% muualta luulisi jo vähintään jonkun iso-isovanhemman olevan ulkomaalainen, että joko testi on minusta vielä yllättävän epätarkka, tai jollain isän esivanhemmista on ollut hauskaa.. :d Joo joku tosiaan ehdotti lisäämään noi Gedmatch tulokset, voit kuvitella mun naaman kun pyörittelin niitä ihme laskureita ja mitä lie..... @@icemonkeymomentum Juu sitä totuuttahan ei aina niistä kirkonkirjoista saa tietää. Minunkin isoisäksi on merkitty kirjoihin ja kansiin hlö kenen kanssa isoisoäitini oli naimisissa ja kenen kanssa hänellä oli lapsia, vaikka totuus löytyykin ihan muualta, joten koskaan ei voi olla ihan varma :D

Gedmatch ei oo "höpöhöpöä" vaan todennäköisesti paras dna testi, joka on saatavilla tällä hetkellä. Se johtuu siitä, et Gedmatch ei jaa dna:ta maantieteellisiin osiin vaan sen luokittelu perustuu muinaisten populaatioiden geeneihin kuten esim. "Western hunter gatherer", "Caucasian" ja yms.
