This legend by the name of Fiona Apple donated $30,000.00 to Spay & Neuter ANGEL Day. Her donation is largest contribution the Stand Up For Pits Foundation has ever received and every single penny of it will go directly to our upcoming Spay & Neuter ANGEL Day initiative. Specifically, Fiona’s donation will cover the spays & neuters of 180 pit bull type dogs in New Jersey - Clayton, Hillside (near Newark) and Robbinsville (near Trenton). These clinics will happen over a three day period and we will post the information once things are solidified.
Words cannot describe how unbelievably grateful myself and the SUFP Foundation is to Fiona for contributing to this massive and desperately needed effort. We are doubling the amount of dogs we did last year. This is not an easy task for a small organization but with people like Fiona and others who understand how vital spaying & neutering is and donating, 1600 pit bull type dogs will get fixed at no cost to their owners. Each clinic is different but costs covered also include; pain meds & e-collars.
My sincerest thanks again to Fiona for being an incredible voice for these inherently good dogs, a friend and to all who have and continue to support spay & neuter efforts. By doing so, you are lowering intake and euthanasia numbers, providing better health for dogs in need and an active part of a real solution.
