@@RexyWX410 I agree with you, glad I was here to see this video. I've always really liked the design of the L-Series and the Advance, so really happy to see an LED variant finally get released. Now it will be a matter of time before we see these in most public buildings.

It kinda looks almost futuristic! I like it! It's like industrial + futuristic yet modern at the same time. Like i could see these in a fancy science laboratory.

Definitely wanting to get one, but since I don't have any System Sensor wall mount remote strobes, just the horn strobes, I might get the remote strobe version.

I don’t think I’ve seen those fire alarms with weirdly-shaped strobes before… or something… Also, it sounds very similar to the Spectralert Advance fire alarm.

And Simplex is still using the tone ever since they released the 1999 QuickAlert. Gentex still uses the tone from the 3rd Generation SHG. And EST uses the same tone for the LED Genesis as they did with the regular ones.

The TrueAlert ES does sound pretty noticeably different, like a cross between older TrueAlerts and the Advance/L Series.
@aidanthetoiletelevatorfire7554
@aidanthetoiletelevatorfire7554 5 месяцев назад
@@mikebode7560 All addressable TrueAlerts have that type of tone. This dates back to 2001-2002 when they released the fixed candela addressable TrueAlerts, which are not that loud, a lot like an electronic 4903 (the older ones from 1998-2000). The SmartSync TrueAlerts (which were called QuickAlert from 1999-2000, they became multi candela in late 2004) are the loudest with a lower pitched horn and the 4 Wire TrueAlerts and Selectable 4903s have the higher pitched horn and slightly less loud tone compared to the SmartSync, but louder than the addressable.

The people who say the spectralert classic is too new needs to leave the fire alarm community.. the spectralert classic is now vintage due to the fact they are hitting 20 years old… I Al also modernphobic as well and I have hated these led l series alarms but this video is making me want to get one of these for myself. These led l series alarms I actually wanna get because I do not have an led alarm in my collection yet and I would like to get one so I would like to start off with one of these led l series because the strobe acts like the standard strobes and not that flash light effect that I am not big on… I will be getting this same model but in red…

Nobody needs to leave the fire alarm community (unless they're truly toxic), everyone's entitled to their preferences. I don't think the Classic is "too new" (actually it's the only System Sensor horn I like), but I know some people are only into mechanical horns, or at the most maybe only early electronic ones like the Edwards 892 and Wheelock EH. Whatever floats your boat.

@@mikebode7560 most of the community needs to get off social media. Unfortunately the community is mostly made up of people that can't resist causing drama and calling eletronic alarms trash and stuff. But hey at least we aren't in the deadliest community (the siren community.....)

@@bjthedjdutchdude1992great question. I figured it out through viewing the date code on the back of the device. Supposidly with most System Sensor devices, they use a four digit number date code. I observed the code around the the back of the device. I zoomed in at 3:44 and saw the number 3095. 3 is the year (2023 *they repeat every 10 years for some reason) 09 is the month (September) 5 week (looked like the last week) Thus with a date code 3095 we can conclude this device was manufactured in the 5th week of September 2023 Hopefully that helps you out. Reading date codes is always fastinating to me.
