"Fire and Flame" is a folk song written by the Longest Johns detailing the Halifax Explosion, which was an explosive disaster that took place on December 6, 1917. A French ship, the Mont Blanc was rammed into by the Imo, a Norwegian ship, and due to the Mont Blanc carrying an extreme number of explosives. This collision resulted in a massive explosion, killing thousands and demolishing almost the entire town of Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada.
